great video best illustration no rushing or omitting video footage which leaves gaps, thank you and wish you and your channel gain a lot of success,
👍best wishes.
Thanks!!
I have rear disc brakes not drum.do you know if there is much difference in removing the wheel bearing
I think it would be a similar process, but you’ll probably have to unbolt the caliper.
Dang! So easy!
Thank you
Great tutorial.....so much easier then the yaris....no slide hammer needed.
Thanks! The front wheel bering is a whole different story... upload coming soon for that one.
Why the hell you put anti seize on wheel nuts so it can come loose while driving with all the vibration.
That doesn’t happen if you torque them properly.
What did you save over a shop doing the same job?
I'm not sure. If I can do it myself, I prefer to add a video to the channel.
Anti seize "because its Ohio" Must be an uptight place....LOL What happens in the summer to the salt that they put down in winter and whats the fine for studded tires?? And...AND why not studded tires...its so European....
I just checked Ohio Law and studded tires are allowed on public roads from Nov1st to April 15th. I'm not sure why more people don't use them, perhaps our winters aren't extreme enough. The salt that they put on the roads washes off into the ditch after a couple of good rainy days.
I’ve never had to do a rear bearing on any of my fits. Really good to know that its super easy.
Thanks for the video
I'd rather do 10 rear wheel bearings than one front wheel bearing :)
I have an 09 silver Honda Fit and my lady friend across the street has a 2012 Silver Fit. I was driving her Fit today and heard wheel bearing noise. I'm a retired Mechanic but since I've never done the front or rear wheel bearings on a Fit, I thought I'd take a look. Pretty standard on both front and rears although the fronts are clearly more work. Next thing to do is this summer is identify which wheel bearing is actually going bad. Thank god I'm not in the rust belt. Although I'm in Spokane, WA. we still don't rust things up like other parts of the country.
I have a video doing the front bearing (version Ohio) and yours will take a fraction of the time it took me to do mine. Rust is the worst! ua-cam.com/video/R1_j95sSXXs/v-deo.html
Oh wow, I love how easy that is to replace.
Just snapped a stud on one of my front wheels. Decided I'll look into replacing all 16 studs. Seeing that the rears are this easy, I 100% will replace the whole assembly.
The fronts, according to another video, can be replaced by cutting out part of the brake dust shield. Which I'm perfectly fine with doing, to save myself having to remove the knuckle and borrow a press again.
I've done the fronts on this car and they're an absolute nightmare compared to the rear (mostly due to the Ohio rust.) ua-cam.com/video/R1_j95sSXXs/v-deo.html
I've even started anti seizing the wheel mount surface, cause just like you, OHIO!
Good idea!!
Beck Arnley is the best aftermarket brand!
I’ve always had good luck with their parts.
Why was the first bearing the wrong size?
They shipped the wrong one.
I was unable to bend the stake up. Used every flathead I have, but none had both the strength and thinness to get underneath. I just broke it loose with a 1/2" drive 2 foot breaker and a 12-sided 32mm socket.
Thank you for the awesome video!
Mahalo from Hawaii!
you torqued with anti seize.... the thick cream reduces thread tolerance by up to 15% so at 80lb oem you should only do about 68lb
I did not consider that, thanks!
