I don't excuse poor performance (as a result of lacking optimization) regardless of how "graphically intensive" a game is. The development team underwent hardship, but this is still a product made available for sale in its current condition. This needed to be delayed by another year or so, and based on several initial reviews of this game, it seems that all of those publications can agree. It isn't 2007 anymore.

Those consoles use much lower graphic settings and run at dynamic or upscaled 4k, ps5 pro ain't doing native 4k 60 fps my guy. The 4080 super triples the fps of the ps5 at similar settings, digital foundry tested it in some games. 4090 would therefore almost triple the fps of the ps5 pro@@S3NSEI507

@@S3NSEI507 Well if you are going to use upscaler as a crutch then an RTX 4060 or an RX 6700xt can outperform PS5 via FSR and DLSS in most cases, what people are actually pissed about is the native 4k is hard to achieve in Unreal Engine 5 games, PS5 upscales from resolution lower than 900p in games using Unreal Engine 5 or other similarly demanding engines and it is not like I have anything against consoles as I still have a Nintendo Switch and all Sony consoles till PS4 but to achieve playable frame rate the consoles does downscales the resolution massively.
@hellsbells8979 Anybody can boast about being better than others. Plus, the textures along autdo like 99% of the games on the market. Also GSC Game Wolf is temporarily located in Prague, nice try. It is a Ukranian game studio and up until Russia got daring and properly pushed Ukraine, it had been there. A dev or two in the studio has passed because they went to fight in the war.
@@PixelatedWolf2077 they located in Kiev, where is no sight of any war, and moved to Prague almost next day, when the war started. Yes one person of studio left to war. But I'm sure he wasn't main responsible person for optimisation. It just excuses. Before war they moved release day every month, and it even became mem , after war, they made this exuse as oficial. Btw first stalker was raw and not optimised aswell, so basically its a tradition. I just hate when lazy developers blame whole word, but not themselves
@hellsbells8979 However that's still in Ukraine...as I mentioned before. Also no one exactly knew how far Russia was going to push in. On top of the war is STILL going on. When you are stressed with work and worrying if your family and friends are okay, you will also do worse with your work or projects. Anxiety doesn't help with that either. If Russia somehow happens to take all of Ukraine, then they wouldn't have a home either.

playing this on a 4070Super and the answer is frame gen for now it actually makes it way more responsive and evens out stuttering/frametimes for me at 1440p/epic/DLAA. Beautiful game though
While I get people complaining about optimization but at the same time the industry needs to progress in graphics , physics etc , we've been stuck with the same COD looking games for like 8 years now. It's about time developers started pushing the tech a bit more which is refreshing to see.
It's both, it should be looking better, optimization complaints are showing that, if nothing is changing, clearly it shouldn't be running so bad, therefore the whole "why can't a game just be intensive" argument doesn't work
No it is an optimization issue lol. There are equally good looking games that require half as much raw power (Wukong; CP2077; Ghost of Tsushima; RDR2; Metro Exodus)
Frame Generation causes very unpleasant input latency so I prefer turning it off in every game but in STALKER 2 I felt for the first time to use it :D My 4070 Ti delivers mostly stable 60fps in 1440 Epic and DLAA but the framerate drops in these bases and villages with a lot of NPCs, light sources - especially when entering crowded buildungs - is craaaazy. Definitely needs a lot of optimization but I still enjoy it so far. Atmosphere is outstanding, just as in the original one back in 2007.
Looks like a great game from the bits of gameplay I've seen so far, definitely grabbing it, looks like a great successor to the original games. And...they literally developed this game in a wartorn country, getting bombed by Russia, still managing to make a huge game that's got that just right amount of Stalker game jank, that's pretty badass
imagine telling a 14700k and 4070ti a mid tier build. No wonder optimization went down to a drain hole because people like you will buy it whatever those greedy corporates throws at your face with slippers

You know what? It's probably the game's fault... I've been seeing it time and time again, optimization has gone down the drain unfortunately, and there's nothing we can do to fix it, even brute forcing it doesn't work because the games still stutter 😭
one of the biggest problems with devs these days is they don't fake some things to let CPU and GPU breath easy so they import a bunch of mega scans and high res VFX and textures that sends your PC to the moon
Yep, another one of - we didn’t optimize our at all game, upscaling and frame generation will take care of that
This is a worrying trend that seems to not stop.
I think you need Fullscreen (Borderless) if you want FSR FG to work, it did work on my RTX 3050 but the input lag was noticeable even at 100+ FPS.
Also, please enable NVIDIA Reflex, it helps a lot with input lag, I went from 100 ms to like 55 ms.
4:46 i guess real life needs some updates😂
It needs a rollback to more stable version
4090 or pubg?
Awesome test 👍
Thank you 😃
And here we have the retro GPU king!
Nice videos man.
How many GPU's do you have in your collection? Wow😂
@@eurocrusader1724 he already said over 100 Gpu
He's talking about DanielC, he's awesome and he tests lots of retro GPUs!
Highly recommend watching his videos 🙂
@zWORMzGaming 🙏
At least it's one of the games that don't look worse with DLSS Quality but get a major performance boost.
RTX 4080S in 1440p high settings 60-70fps with DLSS Quality 90-100fps.
So great :)))))
4:35 “I’ve noticed some very poor implemented shadows in real life”
Impressionante que nem uma 4090 consegue mais rodar 4K Ultra sem ajudinha de IA
yeah the devs need to start optimize this game lol
are we ready for 6090 rtx bro this UE5 shit makes me depressing
Will you bother getting the R7 9800X3D?
AMD told me they'd get me one when they have more review samples!
@@zWORMzGaming Lucky lol
I somehow managed to get it through amazon Italy for 548€
@@HarryLikesLambosIts crazy how I have that cpu before a reviewer. And I was waiting for 4090 content for a year already.
Great video, gameplay looked smooth even at 60fps, could you please tell whats your monitor?
bro i just want to clarify something is the rx7900 xtx better than 4090 if i don't want to play with rt, i have watched almost all your videos and came to a conclusion that only in black myth wukong it was a problem for the rx 7900xtx. and also the prize difference is soo much.
RTX 4090 > RX 7900 XTX > RTX 4080(S)
Dudes huffing some copium or something. 7900xtx is equal to roughly 4080S in rasterization right?
No it's barely faster than a 4080 super but slower than a 4090
Nah, 4090 is faster in any way. 7900xtx is on 4080 super level and i think even faster.
Yeah DLSS + Frame Gen is gonna be an absolute must for me
I don't excuse poor performance (as a result of lacking optimization) regardless of how "graphically intensive" a game is. The development team underwent hardship, but this is still a product made available for sale in its current condition. This needed to be delayed by another year or so, and based on several initial reviews of this game, it seems that all of those publications can agree. It isn't 2007 anymore.
I wish that it was 2007
Shed a tear watching this.
Hey, Kryzzp! I just want to tell you that my father is building me my very first PC with a Ryzen 7 9700X, an RX 7800 XT and 32GB RAM for Christmas! I’m very excited to play Cyberpunk, Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Stalker 2 at Maximum Settings! I’m so excited!
Hope u enjoy
Congratulations
Swap the 9700X with 9800X3D if possible, might be difficult considering the stock availability
Veilguard?
You missing some neurons or what?
Veilguard 💀
Cant wait to see once it releases on ps5 how it runs :D
Kryzzp we love you ❤
Such a cool game. Will play it in about a year when it'll be bug free (hopefully) and better optimized
crazy a 2000€ graphics card: native 4k on epic just 60fps
And yet people complain about $500 consoles running at 4k30fps and the PS5 Pro running at 4k60fps, a $2000 graphics card can't even run the game 2-3x better, a game that is also on the Xbox Series
@@S3NSEI507 Except for the exclusives most of the PS5 games are not running at native 4k Resolution, while the games are unoptimized on PC people have this misconception that PS5 is actually running games at 4k which it is not for any of the demanding titles.
@firzokkhan6443 native 4k or not, don't forget the price of the rtx4090, 3x the price of a console, even if it uses 4k upscaling, it's still 1500€ cheaper
Why these developers having big excuse about optimisation?
They are in a war AND UE5 has always sucked with optimization
@PixelatedWolf2077 what the war in Prague?) did wsr started 100 years ago? Also in interview they said that no one knows better ue than they do
@hellsbells8979 Anybody can boast about being better than others.
Hey love the Headphones you are using what are your reviews on them
This is why you don’t buy or even pirate on release. Too many bugs and unoptimised code. Wait a few months instead
If only every game used the Snowdrop engine. Sadly that's a Ubisoft in house engine 😔
looks worse than metro exodus rtx edition but demands absolutely insane hardware. lol lmao i ain't buying this.
Are you blind? Metro exodus cant hold a candle to this.
@@prezlamen7906 lol lmao you are blind, metro looks better, RTX works better, runs better. this hohol trash is a borderline scam.
The reflections are cubemaps with SSR. I dont think there is any kind of RT in the game. Hopefully they add that. I know itll run 30fps but itll look even better lol. Great game. Lots of fun. Im playing it at 1440p with a 4090/13900k.. Im using FG because its actually really good in this game. Very few artifacts and its very smooth. Responsive because the base fps is usually 60 or 70 sometimes more. Good shit!
The developers have been living in Prague for three years now. What problems do they have in prague (czech republic)))))

Thanks for watching!
This is better with mouse and keyboard in my opinion, because it's a first person shooter and it has a lot of inventory management
@ thank you I’m new to mouse and keyboard so this would make my first game playing exclusively on it. Wish me luck. I can’t get to the game till next week anyways hopefully they accomplish all of the patches they need
I already played 3 hours in one go and just couldn't stop playing until I forced myself to stop. THIS GAME IS THE GOAT!
It will be the goat.
Its a gem. Rough and in need of polish, but damn how good a gem will it be when it gets more polish.
@ definitely but atleast playable compared to yesterday’s disaster…
21:11 it is a Hogsmeade of Stalker xD
They had an excuse.
Which one?
They've been making the game for 15 years and then, they promised to release the game almost three years ago...
and then they had an excuse.
playing this on a 4070Super and the answer is frame gen for now it actually makes it way more responsive and evens out stuttering/frametimes for me at 1440p/epic/DLAA.
Frame Generation causes very unpleasant input latency so I prefer turning it off in every game but in STALKER 2 I felt for the first time to use it :D
My 4070 Ti delivers mostly stable 60fps in 1440 Epic and DLAA but the framerate drops in these bases and villages with a lot of NPCs, light sources - especially when entering crowded buildungs - is craaaazy. Definitely needs a lot of optimization but I still enjoy it so far. Atmosphere is outstanding, just as in the original one back in 2007.
Please test it on the 7900gre.
Thank you for all your work and character!
FG does wonders I love it now a days you gotta have a high end gpu 😊LETS GO
Looks like a great game from the bits of gameplay I've seen so far, definitely grabbing it, looks like a great successor to the original games. And...they literally developed this game in a wartorn country, getting bombed by Russia, still managing to make a huge game that's got that just right amount of Stalker game jank, that's pretty badass
I play 1080p 144hz exclusively on my Asus RTS 4090 and i7 14900k. Best gaming experience ever.
performance is pretty decent on my 14700K/4070ti super combo. Love that it's true to the original. I'll be playing this for years.
14700K and 4070Super, amazing here!
You talking like 14700K/4070ti super is med build
imagine telling a 14700k and 4070ti a mid tier build. No wonder optimization went down to a drain hole because people like you will buy it whatever those greedy corporates throws at your face with slippers

High quality textures in a massive open world, no wonder why the game file is so big and pop-ins are frequent.
I sure hope they make some performance patches D:
Really, games have become very demanding, even the RTX 4090 cards cannot handle them, but how will the games of 2030 be? It is frustrating. The RTX 5090 will become a thing of the past.

Dude please buy a better gpu. 6700x or 6800x is cheap and you can afford that if you have a job.
@@prezlamen7906 It can play everything I throw at it so far with acceptable performance and even Stalker 2 manages to get 50-60fps with FSR on, on my system.
I don't bother with tech upgrades unless I really absolutelly need them, it's just a waste of money otherwise particularly with today's economy and price trends for computer parts.
Simply my way of viewing things, nothing to do with a lack of disposable income.
