But the way they ramped up the credit price of vehicles, coupled with the bullshit roulette ticket system, and the fact that they made the MTX purchasing credits INSTEAD of purchasing cars. Made it wayyy more expensive. You could buy a particularly pricey car on GT sport for 10 bucks most vehicles anywhere between 2-5 bucks depending on various favors. Now in GT7 the same two cars in GT sport that would cost 4 dollars combined would cost you 20 bucks in GT7 Some of the pricier vehicles to be bought with real world currency would cost upwards of 100 bucks on GT 7. And the game is grindier than ever thanks to the higher credit costs of vehicles in general. In GT 7. Now they have some races you can grind out and make a million credits in an hour. Which were added in updates fairly recently. And even with those it's still grindy as shit
I don't play racing games, but they are absolutely gorgeous. I have a hard time thinking that, in like 20 years, they look considerably better than they do now. GT7 is gorgeous.
The online requirement for single player content hurts me. Had my first go on GT7 while visiting a friend, but they didn't have the latest update installed, so we only had Music Rally. It was also frustrating that even after downloading the update, split screen multiplayer wasn't available as they hadn't got far enough in the Cafe Menus. I can sort of understand withholding the online multiplayer until players have some experience, but why local multi? And what content will be available in 10 years time when the servers are shut down? Just the Music Rally? My copy of GT4 still works great 19 years on. I still thought the game was great, and I'm keen to buy it myself so I can play my friend online. But I can't reward the devs/pubs for the online requirement for single-player and local multiplayer, so I'll be picking it up used if I can find it cheap.
which is why I decided not to get a ps5. I was going to get gt7 and read that the game requires an internet connection 24/7 and that most of the game is locked behind a PS5+ monthly subscription? Like seriously wtf is going on. I would hope that PD get their act together by now and update the game so that offline single player mode could be fully enjoyed. why are we not talking about those god awful free tickets that ALWAYS land on the same slot no matter how many of those tickets you earn and open. There is 5 possible rewards per ticket, but they 100% of the time land on what ever is in the 4th slot. its annoying and stupid and I cant believe that's still a thing even a year later. I cannot be the only player that still experiences this
I feel you're pain brother as I'm trying to get the Bugatti pass so that I can go buy a Veyron and so far every time I see it, it keeps landing me on a different car (which there for not letting me get the invitation to buy the Veyron).
That's a steal. I bought the 25 year edition at launch and have sunk over 500 hours into it before buying the psvr2. It's now elevated to my best gaming experience of my life with my t300 and headset.
It's a good game a year later 😅.. If u bought it when it came out u would feel like me just jaded in over it.. With all the missed opportunities and cash grab themes and missing obvious parts of the game or under developed parts too

I want Beginner, Amateur, Professional, Extreme and Endurance added back as it was in GT3 and GT4. I want to be able to enter the all legendary *Sunday Cup* all over again and have the feeling of starting a game that is going to last me for several months.
Nobody was ever driven to microtransactions people just didn't take into account all the circuit experience credits. I got 700 hours in the game and not required a single microtransaction before or after any updates.

Just keep your expectations realistic. VR2 GT7 is a fantastic game but the visuals are downgraded considerably despite what this reviewer and others say. But immersion more than makes up for it.
We need more modern cars with the updates. Most of the cars are dated with their modern counterparts being 2-3 generations ahead of what we have available in-game.
All I do is grind Sardegna for 4 hours every day since completing the game 3 weeks ago. Also most cool cars have no good races, so the awesome 10.000.000 credit F1 car you just grinded 15 hours for has to be detuned with shitty wheels and weights until it drives like a boat to match the 800pp requirement.
How is it compared to Oculus Quest2? I feel i have no chance in playing long with those headsets. Some games actually makes me motion sick cause of the low framerate. Its a hefty price so i bet it MUST be good at that price range.....

Despite the fact Kaz said GT 7 was the game is fans was waiting for it's not what I was waiting for. I've played every single GT game from the first one 25 years ago. If it was the GT Game I was waiting for it wouldn't have the single player modes locked into online only and if you lose internet you can only play that music mode thing or arcade mode. If it was the game I was waiting for I would be able to start from the beginning without being forced to create a new pdn account. There's no other way to start from the beginning. If it was the game I was waiting for it wouldn't have engine swaps and a lot of upgrades locked to a roulette. I've cleared the single player modes and I still haven't received an engine swap in the roulette. If it was the game I was waiting for there would be a proper single player campaign instead of that cafepdr thing that replaces the campaign mode that's been in every GT game. GT 7 is a decent racing game but I have no interest in playing it now because I've cleared it and I have no interest in crash fest online races. If it was the game I was waiting for it would have most of the original GT fantasy tracks but it's missing most of the original tracks with a few there bit heavily modified and nothing like the original track. I don't like what they done with Deep Forest. If by an extremely tiny chance they actually add the ability to start over I will be happy to play it over again. Until then. It's gathering digital dust on my PS4 Pro.
get the ps5. It's so much better on the ps5 and worth the upgrade. You'll never truly enjoy GT7 until you get a ps5 and a psvr2 would be good too. Litteraly the best gaming experience of my life on psvr2 gt7 full game.

Most of the cars I've bought are low value considering the price scale of the game, even having a used car shop. In one hour of racing you can make 1.5 million credits, the most expensive car is worth 20 million. Spoiler: the legendary cars are not used for competitions and Esports, but are purely collectible, the most expensive competition car is worth 1 million and is the GR 1 category. GR 2 is worth 500,000, GR 3 350,000 and GR 4 200,000 . Spoiler 2: The GR cars have identical performance, in fact they all cost the same and the game gives them away through licenses and challenges. Kindly return to work in 🎪
That is really misleading. Almost none of the issues were resolved. Single player still sucks, cafe still a parody, barely no "Gran Turismo" mode, most cars have no purpose. The problem was never microtransactions in themselves, nothing they promise pre-release was added to the game.
we need sophie on all singleplyer expirience, and all the races should have a qualify and grid start, i hate the start last, now you have x laps to catch the first car. add that to the current AI is so boring. personally to make the single player more enjoyable more fun i completly remove all UI/HUD playing on cokpit view, i make a lot of mistakes because of it and takes a lot more trial error to beat one race.

@mighty Faris I don't think people are asking for that. But 5 000 000 cr for a Ford Focus is a bit excessive don't you think ? They definitely made these cars overpriced to force people into the microtransaction. Microtransactions have been around for years now in games, but GT7 really made obvious the fact that they wanted people to buy virtual money. Grinding doesn't add value, it's just something really annoying and repetitive to do. There should be a sweet spot between having to achieve something ingame (win a race, a championship etc...) to unlock something, and forcing the players to do the same thing for hours and hours (a chore basically) so they can buy an overpriced car. GT7 is still a very good game, but Sony is incredibly greedy and they've been like that for years now. It's a shame they have such a dominant position on the market, I don't want to think about what they would do if Nintendo and Microsoft weren't around. We would probably pay $150 per game with a $30 per month PS+

Can’t believe the game is 1 year old now and the user score on Metacritic only increased by 0.2 Personally I’ve never had problems making money even as of now I have 5.9M credits in the game and have 2 expensive cars without spending a penny

The psvr2 addition brought new life to this game for me. Between that and buying a wheel, I have been floored with the experience.

the game stills too clean and sterile, doesnt feel real. iimmersions is broken when you hit as wall at 120mph and your car has less than a scratch.
5 was exactly like that everything felt cold ,boring, once you took the lead cars stopped fighting to regain their position.
What camera settings do they have on for the outside view my game camera does not look like that at all
It's the chase cam. You can change it to 'near' in settings. Looks alot better
No self respecting driver uses the outside view, it's hard to judge corners, you end driving with the back of the car, in car is easier.

that's a driving assistance option for rookies. You can turn off any assistance (traction control level from 0 to 5), driving line, etc...
It's been available on every racing games for decades now. You can turn it off, it's just an assistance.

Are you serious? A game where i can't aford the dream car, or have to work and pay, way too much for them, thats bulls... Where is the fun. Looking at things i can't play with? It could be the best Raceing game of all time but i don't like to be scamed. I have to pay 60e or Dollar for the game and then i have to buy cars waaaay to expensiv, or grind for hours. No thanks. You can easily grind 1-3 million credits easy an hour you don’t have work that hard. Just a bunch of crybaby gamers who expect everything given to them

They definitely made these cars overpriced to force people into the microtransaction.
Microtransactions have been around for years now in games, but GT7 really made obvious the fact that they wanted people to buy virtual money. Grinding doesn't add value, it's just something really annoying and repetitive to do.
There should be a sweet spot between having to achieve something ingame (win a race, a championship etc...) to unlock something, and forcing the players to do the same thing for hours and hours (a chore basically) so they can buy an overpriced car.
GT7 is still a very good game, but Sony is incredibly greedy and they've been like that for years now.
It's a shame they have such a dominant position on the market, I don't want to think about what they would do if Nintendo and Microsoft weren't around. We would probably pay $150 per game with a $30 per month PS+
How do you play all tracks, dont say I have to fuss about earning to get them one by one ??? I am 62, I dont want to ass about doing that, I want to have fun and do all the tracks and cars from the stat. Thay have lost Millions on dong this, as so many are not buying cos of this, and I think I will and back if I cant, as unsure ???

Nobody wants to play a game where everything is already unlocked and accessible. What would be the point of playing then ?
If you just want to have fun, maybe you should play something different. Gran Turismo has never been a series you could start with everything unlocked.

It's now an outstanding game? Lol, it always has been. It's a shame that people will say a game is not outstanding, because it has some microtransactions that were unpopular to the public. It's a simple solution, DONT BUY THEM!!!! GT7 has made many improvements that makes it an even better game, but it is always been an outstanding game, since day one.
