I'm excited about this video Bill, I seem to have taken your advise before you gave it to me. This video fits right in with the progression of my early watch collecting years. I have a Seagull 1963, 38mm. I have a Muhle Glashutte SAR with the "woodpecker neck regulator". I also have a Dornbluth & Sohn 99.1 with a highly modified Unitas 6498. My past self thanks you for this video. Best regards, Brian
Many thanks, Bill. I DID purchase the Petit Seconde ,following one of your astonishing previous episodes. It was 400 dollars at Jomashop .I enjoy it so much . Many thanks Nizar
Just a quick reminder the Chinese chronograph bought the rights & blueprints from Venus(Swiss) allowing them to produce the Venus 175 . Old tech. still beautiful!
Great choices i have the Seagull 1963 38mm with a Swan neck regulator. I've had it maybe 5 years had no problems. I think i paid $179 . Great little watch.
These are nice, I agree on that Tissot Heritage. That’s a solid choice. By the way do you happen to recall when it was that ETA acquired Unitas? I assume it was during the quartz crisis winnowing, but I haven’t been able to find out exactly when it was.
As always Bill, you have some interesting choices here.If I were that chronograph kind of guy, the 63 is both interesting, and certainly cheap enough to take a chance with,
This fella named HK Ed also makes some interesting versions of the 1963. Bigger dials, sapphire crystals, and different colors. Might be worth checking out.
