The reverb from the original church was fantastic!! People forget that buildings like that were built with intent for that effect!! Very very cool, wonderful work.
And it was all done with craftsmanship. I was on a hike once, in a river valley, on a date, and noticed that there was an echo & reverb when I spoke loudly. So I went all "I'm gonna impress this girl".
I sang, with projecting (I was in choir all 12 years of school), the first two stanzas (trying to impress my date) of "Danny Boy". I stopped when the reverb reverbed enough to worry me about causing a landslide.
Shale, limestone, and granite will reverb like crazy. And it's why Cathedrals took decades to build: the craftsmen would spend weeks carving a single block.
Songs in many church modes were also written to omit dissonances and account for the reverb of churches. Just listen to Bach's fugues. The overtones lay over each other in the echoes so beautifully.

More than one reason cathedrals took over one hundred years to build.
She can perfectly sample that reverb to get the impulses for a convolution reverb

I'm Catholic and Veni Veni Emmanuel is one of my favorite hymns. I was in a choir in HS and was able to sing the Latin version of this in a beautiful cathedral.
I was born into a Jewish home, on Easter Sunday. Ever since I was a very little girl, I used to have dreams about Jesus, but didn't know why. I went to a high school that had an amazing music department, and I was in one of the choruses. Every year we did a Christmas concert. Our auditorium was called "the Chapel" because it had once been a church with beautiful stained glass windows. We sang this song, which is my most favorite Christmas song of all. As I got older, I began to search for a spiritual home, and have been a Unitarian for 25 years. BTW....I've had two great loves in my life. One was born the exact same day as me, except he was born in Australia. The other was born 3 years and 3 days before me.........we were all born on Easter Sunday.

Curiously, I already knew this video and the others recorded with the reverberation of the Church of the Encarnacion in Montefrío, but I had no idea who the singer was, especially because I saw republished videos and always wanted to know who she was.
A few days ago I found a collage video about Num Num Cat and your favorite participation was yours, because for me it is the most genuine in relation to the style, to Jazz, to Decó and the style of period in question, that was the way it was chanted in bars at the time.
So I went looking to find out who the woman with the red hair was and found the channel and by coincidence the video of the church of Encarnacion in Montefrío.
A strange coincidence.

Your crystal clear voice is absolutely perfect for this song and coupled with that church's acoustics, as clearly evidenced by the smile on your face when you started singing, makes this song come alive perfectly. How do we inspire you to commandeer that church for a full blown, all verses, acapella recoding?!!
