I know what you mean. When paying the big bucks to a concert I want to hear the hit that's on or was on their album, not the band's mood that day. I understand that they tire of singing it the same way but I feel cheaten out of my money when it's too fast or not song like it is on their album. It's almost like seeing a great Cover band! instead of the real thing. M. Jackson understood that, although he would extend his songs it was still sung the same.
It has nothing to do with technology, it's about music you fucking dolt, most of the people searching for this music are from that era, they want the original for nostalgic reasons, so it could bring back positive memories, personally I like this version just as much as the original, but when I see ignorance I have to step up and say something. Yes technology moves fast, just as the human brain has evolved to take in information at a quicker rate, it's part of evolution, and even evolution plays no role in this, nor does technology. Now let's say if someone took one of your favourite songs and makes a bollox out of it, you wouldn't be happy, because you would be looking for that song out of nostalgia. So it's really about nostalgia and music more than anything else, if you can't comprehend that, then you're the one that should be left behind to rot, and that's the only time you will ever serve a purpose, when your rotting corpse gives nutrients to the earth to help grow more plants and trees so that we can have more oxygen, because obviously you serve no purpose to the world, you might as well top yourself now. Oh and before you correct my spellings, I'm not from the USA, I'm from a different country where we spell words differently, like 'favourite' in America that would be spelled as 'favorite'. Go and rot! :)
