Casey and Crystal in the same video with Tony?! This is the best Valentine's Day present ever.
Agreed!
That might be the truest comment there has ever been 😂
Yes Casey and Crystal are awesome 😁
do you think Tony sniffs the seats after they gone?
@@MrBallTech i laughed, have a like
Sleepaway Camp (1983) had an arrow to the throat death scene! Mel the camp owner I believe
Probably my favorite kill in the first Sleepaway Camp, other than a particular death by curling iron!
The music, the mask, the kills... I have always loved this one. Easily my favorite of the post-Scream slasher era.
I love Valentine. It's one of the best slasher movies. It's something about it that really intrigues me. It has this sexy and guilty pleasure vibe such as the concept, element, tone, and theme as it was just constructed perfectly. It was such a unique and creative perspective in the slasher genre. The actresses did a great job portraying their roles. Also I love that twist ending and that song called Breed by Snake River Conspiracy that plays at the ending credits. It was just a really perfect way to end the movie. To this day I keep up a tradition of watching it every February and I consider it decent. Valentine is a true blue modern gem. Jamie Blanks directed a classic that will be in our hearts forever. It never gets old.😍😎👍💯
🤣 the artist guy is ALSO the artist guy from Empire Records.
The movie had already received an R rating from the MPAA, but a recent shooting spooked Warner Bros. into cutting blood and violence from it anyway. So they basically released a PG-13 movie with an R rating. Such a shame Scream Factory didn't add back the cut scenes for their Collector's Edition Blu-ray.
I think most of the cut scenes where lost to time
“Deck The Halls With Boughs of Polly” is a better name than Christmas Parrot and I think that’s how you should pitch it
Definitely a fun combo to review this Valentines Cult Classic. Happy Valentines Day to Everyone At Hack The Movies.

i love Casey’s voice
I like how Tony's viewing it from the killer's perspective. Yeah I played a lot of Friday the 13th The Game also
I'm actually watching this on valentine's day. Single just like the hosts
I’m on page 47 of writing Christmas Parrot!
1:19:38 The review on IMDB is referring to the Humor theory, an ancient theory on how the human body worked that pretty much fell out of fashion around 1850, but was regarded as mainstream medicine since ancient Greek times. Basically for the human body to work correctly there needs to be a balance of the four humors : Blood,Yellow Bile, Black Bile and Phlegm. People were thought to have different personalities depending on what humor was the prevalent one : Sanguine(blood),Choleric(yellow bile),Melancholic(black bile), Phlegmatic(you guessed it, phlegm). The wikipedia page is,for once, very well written so if you are interested in outdated medical theories feel free to read it.

Best Vday Gift ever!! Crystal and Casey in a horror review!
One of the best post Scream slashers. Jamie Blanks is a really interesting guy and both this and Urban Legend are really solid genre films of his.
Jamie Blanks is such a delight ☺️ as he is down to earth and genuine as you will absolutely and positivity have a blast with him.😍😎👍💯 Urban Legend was pretty good ☺️ but I definitely and completely love Valentine. The phantom of the mall:Eric's revenge has a kill in it that has Eric(the phantom) using a bow and arrow? Or Crossbow.. Joe Bob just showed it.. it was real dumb
Casey and Crystals hair game is on point. Tony..you too ;) lol
Crystal and Casey are definitely the "Dynamic Duo"!
I liked the dating advice and stories.
Every time I hear TLC my mind goes to wrestling lol
Who would stop texting Casey? Workouts and watch movies. That sounds great
I’m sure Jason would like this review. Lol Jason likes to talk about himself on his dates in third person.
I remember when this was new, TV Guide had the back pages for the premium movie channel listings, and the blurb for it was something like 'a kid who was jilted and beaten at a Valentine's Day dance comes back for revenge', and the 'kid jilted and beaten at a dance' part was what got me interested in seeing it. Like WHAT is that? Eventually I rented it from the video store, and I really liked the dynamic of the characters, how they really do seem like adults who have been best friends since junior high, and I really liked how they all got their just desserts. I felt REALLY bad for Jeremy, like WOW, and wondered just how broken his brain got between the dance and being Angel. The movie's look and feel seriously has 'Criminal Minds' vibes--if it was done a few years later, it would totally have been written and directed by Matthew Gray Gubler;)
I bought the same Valentine shirt at the same convention when I met you Tony! Monster-mania 🤘🤘 Also always loved Valentine!
I love crystal outlook on life 😍
Yaaay, it’s Crystal 😊
Can we please covert this into a dating podcast? Was the best episode 😂😂😂
You guys should do an episode on 1964's Straight Jacket starring Joan Crawford, directed by William Castle and written by Robert Bloch
P.P.S. The killer in Sleepaway Camp killed Mel (Mike Kellin) with a bow and arrow, lol.
Welp, I'll be spending this Valentine's Day by myself watching horror movies. Just like last year. 😅
It's really nice to see Casey and Crystal in an episode together! Great team, great episode as usual, nicely done crew! Hack them mooooovies, and talk about themmm tapes! 😁
Not gonna lie, these ladies are looking really good. Call me a simp, idc.
Also, I unironically love this movie for almost purely nostalgic reasons, lol. I never did see it until like a decade after it came out, but it reminds me of a bygone era of horror movies - like Tony said, the Post-Scream Era.
Tony is not a Lady!
@@Eisenwulf666 I was just gonna mention Crystal, but I wanted Tony to feel included.

Tony, when I was a kid I thought the TLC was a wrestling channel, and I’d get confused and disappointed that it wasn’t. When they air “Hoarders” and I be like “I guess there are tables, latters, and chairs somewhere in there…”
I'm excited to see Tony's Valentine's Day episode this year hopefully with Casey and Crystal again so we can get some more dating advice
P.S. Joe from Movie Dumpster described Brian (the "Wax it" guy) as "Danny Elfman fucked Vince McMahon", and I can't unsee it.
I have never seen this movie, but at 0:13 I saw the cast and already know what kind of movie this is lol
The characteristics Casey read off imdb are called Humorism. Ancient Greek and Roman doctors used to believe there are four types of fluid (or humors) in our bodies, and our personalities come from the balance among them. For example, they believed a sanguine person is friendly because they have a high amount of blood compared to other personality types. Humorism is a bit like astrology in that people used to think it was actual science, but now it's used more to categorize different types of people. For example, you could probably divide up The Golden Girls or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by which of the four humors each character represents.
Never heard of this movie before but I can't wait to hear what y'all have to say about it!
In the CREEPSHOW 2 story "Old Chief Wood'nhead" he took out Fatso using a bow and arrow,, but I guess that movie doesnt really count as a slasher flick other than that one segment.
35:20 just noticed but not only is dude checking Casey out but the old man and the young girl are looking at the due checking out Casey ( they’re on her left ).
59:07 WRONG Tony! TLC stands for: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs!!
If Tony really wanted a partner he could've got a mail order bride, I've heard that sometimes works.
Another example of TLC - the old R&B group.
Omg! Crystal, Casey and Stevie! Tony, you are almost too famous!
I miss the early 2000s/late 90s slashers. That's why I loved Thanksgiving so much. It was definitely in my top three 2023 right next to infinity pool and strays.
anyone else keep hearing Tony call her Darthy instead of Dorothy? man needs to get his jawls looked at

Just started this vid and had to stop and say Casey is an absolute delight. After catching the end of a live show on the conjuring series rankings, her and Tony really shined (not in the Kubrick sense) and showcased her truly sweet personality. Not only being oblivious to the Tony from Hack the Movies love of mommy milkers, but apologized to the Tony from Hack the Movies for interrupting him. She is the warm hug of movie reviews.
The book is whole literal different beast guys.
Tony / Casey / Crystal might be one of my new favorite combos on this channel
You guys should totally review the original 1981 classic "My Bloody Valentine" next year!!! I live in the area where that movie was filmed (Nova Scotia, Canada) and just recently met the actor who played the killer in it at a reunion event for the film.
Hope to see Casey on the show a bit more too! Great fun 👍

This was a fun episode!! I am still trying to remember if I watched this movie...hahaha I think I saw it
Oh man can't wait. This movie has one of the funniest deaths i cried
Kacey, character archetypes or tropes via adjectives from IMDB. Shorthand for core character traits. Feels like Sleepaway Camp or The Prowler. Fun time, kids!
I remember taking my girlfriend to see this on Valentine's Day. I had to use David Boreanaz as a way to convince her to see it with me. The stabbing scene in the morge was intense.
The opening scene is terrifying and effective as you are being pursue by a serial killer all by yourself late at night in a morgue. It's a very freaky and creepy scenario nobody does not want to be in.😅😰😱 Katherine Heigl did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Shelly Fisher as she put tons of emotion and depth into her role. To me she really got the movie to a good start as it sets the tone.😍😎👍💯
Casey and Crystal dressed like that look like a 70s folk pop act
Somethings different about crystal in general in this and I can't figure out what
A bow and arrow was also used in Sleepaway Camp... Have ya'll done the Sleepaway Camp films? Those would be fun.
I thought I was the only hot girl who liked horror, I'm so happy I'm not alone. Lol
tony you magnificant lucky bastard! straight pimpin!
The most memorable part of this one for me was definitely the soundtrack
One of my favorite songs of the soundtrack is Breed by Snake River Conspiracy that was use for the ending credits as it was just a really perfect way to end the movie as it really identifies and analyzes the concept and theme as it has a seductive, sexy, and guilty pleasure vibe and tone.😍😎👍💯
Happy Johnny Valentine's Day.
It's def one of the best looking slashers ever made, between the beautiful women, sets and elaborate but nonsensical murder setpieces it feels almost more like a giallo throwback than a slasher throwback.

Casey and Crystal are sweethearts! And that Tony guy… he’s pretty cool
My ex and I missed the first 10 minutes of this in the cinema and thought it wouldn’t matter until we watched it again a few years later.
The nose bleed thing just made me think of Anime 😂
I love Tony's crystal and Casey personalities by the way crystal and Casey are really gorgeous and I love them all they and I just laugh so hard with everyone that comes on there
I liked the video, first time hearing about this movie, seems bad but maybe in a fun way, but does Casey dislike any movie? She always seems so happy to be in the videos talking about every movie, even the ones that are miserable like Rob Zombie's The monsters. Nothing bad about it, it's just always such a wholesome thing
I'm sure someone has already brought this up, but the Sanguine, Melancholic, Choleric, and Phegmatic thing refers to an old personality type theory. This also goes back to the medieval medical theory that people were governed by their "humors." So sanguine=blood=passionate, outgoing and phlegmatic=phlegm=people with the personality of loogies
hearing Crystal call Tony selfish is probably one of the most hypocritical things I've heard in a while. Now i remember why I'm happily single.
I don’t know much about her, but how is she selfish?
Why is that? Why is Crystal selfiish?
I don't know her in person but from what i've heard she is quite the opposite. She even does charity (and i'm not talking about her sex life). But who knows, maybe you know her in person and can spill out the tea. We stan Crystal here though
The hot tub scene is one of the more blatant rip offs. It's straight up just the hot tub scene from Halloween II
Paige's death scene is one of the most memorable and iconic scene in the whole entire movie due to the works of director Jamie Blanks as it was just constructed perfectly.😍😎👍💯
Tony The Mack !!!!!!
1:16:20 Dang it!😢 I was gonna use this joke but now I can’t! To quote Darnell “Crab man” Turner from my Name is Earl, “ No thanks, I boil animals to death for a living. If I get in there God may strike me down just for the irony of it, my uncle Thurgood was a fisher man, he choked to death at a sushi restaurant. Big man’s got a sense a humor.”

This is one of those films Hollywood should actually remake
Men that know better have women walk on the inside of the side walk because if you have them walk on the outside closest to the road it means you're trying to pimp them out
Tony! 1st, you STILL didn't take the girls out to dinner??? WTF?
2nd, I can't believe those 2 beautiful women beside you are single.
3rd, Crystal, I'll drive down from Montreal just to take you out on that dinner.
Happy Valentine's day.
also, my aunt has a hot tub with a locking top but it's not clear and her hot tub is outdoors. so I'm assuming most hot tubs do come with tops. whether you need it or not is depending on where you put it
This movie is also a guilty pleasure for me. It came on TNT one morning while I was getting g ready for school and I had to go right after the arrow kill. I went put of my way to finish it and looking g back it's boring but had potential and I love it for trying

Casey and Crystal remind me of Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane. Casey is sweet and knowledgeable and Crystal is energetic and interesting. Tony reminds me of my college buddies who I was most comfortable being myself around. I love them all.
I think at 1:24 Kate ran up the stairs because she was looking for Dorothy
Tony,i love your hat.
I wish I could've been apart of this
I still to this day am thoroughly confused about the ending of this movie, and I still have no idea who the killer actually was. And it's NOT a good sign when you come out of a whodunit and you don't have an answer
My thoughts are:
1. The guy somehow dressed Dorothy into the outfit and mask and pushed her out of the room so that they would fall down the stairs and he could play hero.
2. He and Dorothy were in kahoots like Scream, but betrayed Dorothy to tie up loose ends.
Jeremy dressed Dorothy in his costume to frame her and ruin her life like she had ruined his. Kate was nice to him and so she got to live and he got to be her hero.
@@strifenineteen and he did this when and so fast how?
@@BRCBrick between killing Paige and when Kate sees him and they dance with no music. He somehow knocks out Dorthey, puts her in the suit then acts drunk to basically herd her upstairs where Dorthey is so he can play hero
The true killer was Jeremy Melton. Jeremy framed Dorothy for the murders just like Dorothy framed him for sexual assault. Wacthing Jeremy getting his revenge on Dorothy was so satisfying as it put a smirk on my face as she deserved everything that came to her as she was the main source of Jeremy's public humiliation.😏😈
