OM Stensbeck was in charge of all the young horses at the Cavalry School in Hannover and was described as an affable and very scholarly gentleman. My mentor Schmit-Jensen knew him and Gimpel, as he was at the 36 Olympics with General Decarpentry his friend and mentor at the time. OM is one of the finest examples of riding we have ever seen past or present, and an excellent example of correct seat and hands so little seen today.
