Go read up on his wife and how they continued to vote till today for the political party that imprisoned and beat anyone who spoke up against them. This is the tip of the iceberg.
Yeah that happened to our family.. They rape/ murdered families if they didn't get off their property, that they were still paying off their homes.. Thank u so much for sharing🙏 a lot of people have no idea this happened.
A Rhodesian crying victim - 'they murdered families'. We all know who the real thieves and murderers are, it's just the hypocricy that shocks. You are descendant of murderers, who inherited stolen land. You didn't come to Zimbabwe as immigrants, you came as criminals.
Fun fact: The vast majority of "native" Zimbabweans came from nomads that settled in the English colony because of stability, safety (from crime and racial and tribal violence,) and the superior quality of life it offered. Rhodesia, despite being a colony, did not "colonize" the vast majority of its inhabitants. Overwhelming odds are, that if you consider yourself a "African native" to Zimbabwe, you do not even belong to a family that lived in the lands of Zambesia or what would become Rhodesia... Before the Rhodesians settled there. Zapu and Zanu, backed by the Soviet Union and communist China respectively, put a lot of focus on racial hatred towards white people in order to paint them as the enemy so they could mobilize the surrounding Africans around Rhodesia to attack and attack to overthrow Rhodesia out of pure disdain and hatred. China and the Soviet Union obviously wanted this, because Rhodesia was a very powerful economic force in Africa, and very anti-communist. Getting rid of them would further destabilize Africa and make it easier for further conquest. When you read about the Rhodesian Bush Wars... You might notice it's not actually a civil war. Rhodesia didn't fight with itself to become Zimbabwe. It was Rhodesia, both black and white, against invading forces from other countries that wished to push their ideologies and "free the oppressed minority-ruled black population," or that was the claim at least. The vast majority of blacks in Rhodesia opposed Zanu and Zapu, clearly being smart enough to realize that they were conquerors and not liberators. Robert Mugabe, being directly tied to Zapu, and elected largely in part thanks to well documented coercion by Zapu forces that the UN for some reason found no problem with... of course he continued the trend of white hatred in order to unify the population through mutual hatred of a specific race or ethnicity (sound familiar?) In spite of his complete incompetence and inability to govern and lead the country (admittedly, that part sounds less familiar. He mirrors a certain someone else, but doesn't even bring the positives to the table like repairing and maintaining an economy or even being a partway competent warmonger, as exemplified by his conquests in the congo.) So of course, he continued to perpetuate the lies that the Zapu and Zanu forces were indoctrinated with, about all whites being oppressors and colonizers, and of course distorted the history of Rhodesia in order to paint it as a villainous and oppressive, to try and help people cope with the loss of the previous establishment, and look positively upon the new and improved black-lead Zimbabwean government. Imagine voluntarily joining a foreign settlement for your own benefit, and the crying "they colonized me!!!" When the popular narrative allows it. Of course, this could have happened with some, but with others, it could have been people who were a couple generations down from the nomads who originally settled in the English colony. So in that case would be more like great grandfather joined a settlement from a nomadic past, and the most recent generation believing that they were colonized. Indoctrination is a hell of a thing. Ironically, the Rhodesians were the ones who were colonized. They were more indigenous to the area at least in terms of being settled there, than many people who live in Zimbabwe today, or used to.
Guy is spitting facts. Wish more people paid attention. Abandoning the Rhodesians was shameful and hamstringing their ability to defend themselves was criminal.
You got a history degree from McDonald's. The Shona and Ndebele in Zimbabwe were there for at least 300 years before the British. Rewriting history males you no less better than the people turning white characters black in documentaries.
It is sad that most African countries have almost all the equipment to become richer than Europe or America, but it doesn't happen. Idk if the EU and the US influence them a lot, or if it is the education level of the countries.
I am 15 so when all this was happened I was only 2. Luckily my parents where on holiday during the farm invasions! This holiday could have saved our lives. They stole our farm we where living with my grandparents in town to stay safe from this violence. My grandfather was massive in an accounting firm yet his pension couldn’t even buy a loaf of bread (he is 82 and still has not retired). And the cherry on top of this is that we are headed directly back into this with the local currency rate 850zwl-1usd (this is the unofficial government rate)
@Theo Paidi Education and jobs..... think about what you just said. There wouldn't be education or jobs if it wasn't for colonization. The vast majority of infrastructure and education in subsharian africa was done by colonialism.
@Theo Paidi eurocentric no. Just not fluffing up a "society" that couldn't even develop the wheel or a written language. If anything civilization is mostly China or Arabic centric. Tell me again how they developed steel tools when they couldn't even refine iron... oh yeah trade with more advanced societies.
@@Logicalpoint They built the infrastructure for themselves. We shouldn't pretend like they decided "hey, let's do good things for the people we have colonised here." Do you know how they treated the Zimbabweans during colonisation? Africans were treated like animals and I don't think that was a fair price to pay for the 'jobs, education and infrastructure. ' Racism can never be justified, but if you know what they did to the Zimbabweans, you will understand why people like Mugabe had so much hatred towards the colonists. Zimbabweans do not owe them anything.

They were given electricity, concrete, roads, lights, cars, factories, farms, etc.. You say the colonists treated them like animals but do animals have these things, no. They were treated far worse before colonists introduced to them the concept if human rights. They slaughter each other every day enslaved and tortured to an extent you can't imagine. An no colonists didn't turn the hell that was Zimbabwe into a society solely out of the kindness of their hearts but that was a big reason for it as their religion dictates raising up thy neighbor for all the propaganda against them Christians do alot of charity for impoverished people even when for the sake of conversion. Not to mention the mutually beneficial motive of industry and trade. But no we have to rewrite the history into these people not being total savages who raaapppped slaved and murdered like crazy into being totally peaceful people that the evil white devils turned into livestock for no reason other than they are evil...
The solution isn't "stop printing money", the solution is giving back the land to the previous farmers, including compensations to get them to produce food
How will those farmers be properly compensated if the value of whatever they're given is constantly going down? Seriously, stopping the printing of money first would be the best first step, then enticing the farmers back.
Boet, South Africa wouldn't survive from the same problem Rhodesia & Zimbabwe is suffering from, Rhodesia had a 14 year Bush War, Zimbabwe has revolts since it's independence in 1980 then suffers from economic depression then such an inflation at the point you can't even get sugar, coffee, tea and bread, plus ZAPU wants to have a go with ZANU and if your sick you'll have to share a bed (In Zimbabwe). Soon South Africa will toil from the same outcome too, black and white man is racist towards each other and not giving another chance for each others like Mandela promised, red berets inflicting more hates, eugh, what can we ask for more? That were sorry, god?
Very similar events happened at Idi Amin's Uganda. He gave the indians shops-companies to native ugandians but they didnt know how to work. Economy got terrible and they declared war on Tanzania
Pres:"Here you go my people! A farm complete with fresh graves isn't it all you ever wanted?" Mr.F:"Umm sir, I'm a frycook... How do I farm" Pres:"Yes the people are happy indeed! Have a great day Mista Farmer" Mr.F:"FARMER WAS JUST MY LAST NAME NOT OCCUP...aaaand he's gone"
It’s almost as if attacking people by their race, not caring whether they were good or bad, and giving the lands to people who were not taught farming would ruin the food supply, economy, and maybe even lose support from other countries. Man, I hope the next one is Martin Luther King…
They took the land because they were at the bottom of the cast system due to the original cast system white people created people. I’m not justifying the murders or how he went about redistributing. Rather Zimbabwe is a result of frustration created by white colonialism.
Pretty similar to Idi Amin in Uganda, seized the businesses owned by Asian people and gave them to Ugandans who didn’t know how to run those businesses.

He mirrors a certain someone else, but doesn't even bring the positives to the table like repairing and maintaining an economy or even being a partway competent warmonger, as exemplified by his conquests in the congo.)
So of course, he continued to perpetuate the lies that the Zapu and Zanu forces were indoctrinated with, about all whites being oppressors and colonizers, and of course distorted the history of Rhodesia in order to paint it as a villainous and oppressive, to try and help people cope with the loss of the previous establishment, and look positively upon the new and improved black-lead Zimbabwean government.
Well said! This must come to light, the West are indoctrinated only make the situation worse
Guy is spitting facts. Wish more people paid attention. Abandoning the Rhodesians was shameful and hamstringing their ability to defend themselves was criminal.

I don't think you could pay native Zimbabweans enough to stay, let alone bring back the white farmers.
How will those farmers be properly compensated if the value of whatever they're given is constantly going down?
Seriously, stopping the printing of money first would be the best first step, then enticing the farmers back.
South Africa is doing the same thing.....And they are paying the same consequences
