Probably more like 6 bucks a month. So if they get 1/5th the number of customers for 30 bucks, they'll just be able to do better customer service and have easier clients.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but 4 minutes in and everything you've highlighted can be done in Gmail but with a more intuitive interface and better automation. From Superhuman's website it looked more magical, like AI would automatically take care of a lot of this stuff for you, like summarizing emails, automatically scheduling meetings against your available time slots etc.
I think this is the video I've been waiting for to make the switch 👀 This is such a great video! I really like how you included your personal experience!
Tried before. It really is as good as they describe. I’d be happy to pay the subscription fee as I get more more than enough bang for my buck. Dealbreaker for me is that they currently only support gmail. Since my company uses O365, I unfortunately do not have the choice to change my email provider and therefore need to sit out on the SH benefits until they can handle O365.
@@toolfinderhq yes, they also told me that it is on the way. I tried out SH long enough on my gmail account to know that I would be happy to switch as soon as O365 support is available. I have also tested probably every email client available for Mac, and I have unfortunately had to settle for one that has the least dealbreakers for me. The one month test of SH didn’t show any elements that I would consider as dealbreakers.
Hmmm, I use Spark Mail, which seems nearly all the features of Superhuman with a much cheaper subscription. Also, how are emails managed in Superhuman Superhuman? Is there a folder structure? Maybe I missed it.
Superhuman has only supported Gmail for years, and nothing else. Nothing Microsoft or iCloud. They should have supported more options by now, years later..
@@toolfinderhq which is great…however Superhuman should/needs to have more support besides Gmail. So many people use Exchange or Outlook or iCloud they would like something other than Apple Mail or Outlook
I do work for serval businesses and Superhuman is nice to use on the desktop when these orgs use g-suite; however, my desktop app of choice is, without a doubt, MailMate. I am not a fan of Superhuman on mobile, so I end up using Preside Email on my iPhone. Still searching for the best cross-device solution…
I know that this is kinda good, and heard about that from a couple of my colleagues, but 30$ a month! Not sure if that's really worth it. I suppose would be better if they give the customer at least a 1-month trial to understand how bad they actually need it. For now, that looks like a fancy mail client for "elite people" who don't care about paying 30$ a month for the features available in alternative free mail clients, ok, perhaps, not so fancy and fresh. If the product really has a bunch of killer features that really make your daily routine easier and faster - they would definitely give you an opportunity to try it. For now, looks like I will just pay, and play for a month, understanding that there is nothing special excluding UI, and then come back to Outlook or a similar free app. The modern world taught me not to pay for anything before trying that.
Hi Yaaqoub, Alana here from Superhuman! I've used almost every mac email client available and still haven't found the perfect solution. The closest I have found for my needs currently is EM Client and I hear they have an ios app coming soon. I love the fact the UI is customisable with a bit of CSS knowledge. Newton was great but I had regular issues and the support is abysmal so I stopped paying them £45 a year. Mac Mail doesn't have the advanced features that all the other email apps have these days like snooze, send later, reminders, etc. Are Superhuman still charging $30 a month? I know its a premium service but $30 a month is too much.
@a I am now using Spark and apart from threaded/conversation view (which I'm not a fan of personally), I am really impressed with it. Very stable and I can file emails away to folders quickly.
@@phil_hallam I'll bet you wrote this before they released V3 and completely destroyed everything awesome they'd built so far and turned it into a completely unintuitive mess.
@@les_invisibles My comment was before V3 was released but I have been using V3 since launch and personally I really like it. Sure, there are things to improve on but they seem to be regularly updating it (which is what you would expect from a yearly subscription). My favourite feature is the "Block Sender" option so emails never appear in my inbox again. This has significantly reduced the amount of spam email I receive. Several other email apps have tried this but I prefer the way Spark Desktop have implemented it.
@@phil_hallam Maybe I didn’t give it enough time, but I’m pretty bitter I guess. I loved it the way it was and they’d always preached that they were getting their money from selling the teams features. So to completely redesign everything and then right away ask you to pay for it, definitely left a bad taste for me. Maybe I’ll give it another shot at some point. Some things just seem like such glaring oversights, like it was about 75% done before they decided to release it. Anyway, that’s encouraging to hear it’s working for someone.
@@phil_hallam I was excited when spark came out with a windows app but when I found out they don't support read receipts I backed out. Still stuck on Newton mail.
Superhuman looks great and the functionalities seem to be interesting but 30$ per month is way too much

I pay less per month for my daughters Creative Cloud subscription. I don’t care how good of an email client is. That’s a ridiculous monthly sub price.
If it's too much, that means you're not the target audience.

You lost me at, “This video is sponsored by Superhuman”.
That's a shame.

Checked it out based on this video and instantly found google only - no thanks then, basic email prerequisite now are multiple account functionality.
For me, I'm only using Gmail - so it works.

Hi Will, Alana here from Superhuman 👋 I'm excited to share that we're working on support for O365, to be released later this year!
@@alanatees6997 That is great. I would love to use the service and try it out. I heavily use O365 daily.

Helpful - thank you!
How does Superhuman manage multiple email accounts? Including if some are Gmail and some are Microsoft
I'm not sure technically, however, I use 4 Google accounts and they're separated by workspaces essentially.
Gmail is rapidly incorporating AI and tying its products to its email client. It's changing fast. Of course you save about $400/year
But not available for my mail provider. 😢 so no option for me

My biggest concern is security.

what if i don't have a command bar...I am using a pc
Only support gmail.... what? ....
The Price!!!!
ALL of these functions exist in almost every email client in existence. Sounds like a shiny, new scam.
Love it, worth every $. 💪
meh, only supports google so not really a client...
Lol can you imagine paying three to four times as much for a basic GUI than you do for the actual email license ? What a ridiculous price point
