There are sprays based on citrus oils that will dissolve adhesives without destroying your walls. I would highly recommend using those next time. They're safe and organic and smell like orange peels. :)
Good idea, but there’s another option. Use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm up the adhesive. When adhesives warm up, they will usually loosen up as well and peel away clean. This also works for stickers or any glue backed label.
But it's magnetic strip, heat will weaken the magnetic effects ... It's like an important rule for magnet care, no heating or direct heat, no dropping it from x height and no sudden impact like hammering it and such ...

I was thinking heat gun, but yes, same idea. If you can find a chemical that will dissolve the glue without dissolving the wall, that would be even better. Perhaps 90% isopropyl alcohol.
@@redpillcommando - Not sure what chemical would work without ruining the paint job too. Though, oil is supposed to help loosen sticky stuff. What is that stuff called, Goo Be Gone or something. But all it is really oil. Any oil, olive, baby, etc works the same.

This video makes me really emotional because I lost my cat just three days ago. He was nine months old and he got hit by a car. He was the sweetest, cuddliest cat I've ever met and because of Jun I taught him to give me his paw before he got food. I'm going to miss him so much
My cat was 11 years old, died 3 months ago. My dad closed the garage door and didn't know him lying under the door. It's still a huge pain for me. I raised 4 generations of his family, he was the last. He was smart, well behaved. I taught him to wait for food until I pat his head, then he was allowed to eat. Never in my life, I have imagined that he could be death because of his own house. I feel sorry for your loss

Jun, just a small FYI, I have found that nail polish remover does help in slightly reacting with most glues, thereby making it easier to remove the backings. Hope this helps in future.
