Na, speed runners will always be looking for wild skips. If you ever want to see a hilarious graph, look at the Any% history graph of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It was a 5-hour speed run for 4 years and then over the course of 1 year got down to a 1-hour 30-minute speed run.
Don’t worry, nintendo has confirmed it will release this year, we have never gotten an official release year untill now, the date is still unconfirmed

@@Trithis2077 I love looking at the evolution of speed running. Watched a video recently about how the master sword speed run in BotW was several hours for years and was totally rng, then in a matter of months it dropped to 30 minutes.

That's why Silksong hasn't been released yet. We haven't found all the possible tech in its predecessor yet.

@@danielibarra8032 fire has a vid on it! basically if you have vsync on and shoot a fireball at a downward slope at just the right spot, the fireball is "stalled" by the slope and stays long enough for the knight to pogo it.
it can replace monarch wings in certain cases, notably the one jump in white palace for which wings is *required* and that means the low% TE speedrun route no longer includes wings (and the person with vids on that is skurry) it's pretty fascinating
Stallball is more worth though it takes longer to figure out ad perfect since vs is the first spell of the game
@@danielibarra8032 certain rooms’ platforms’ geometry causes the vengeful spirit projectile to slow down - or “stall” - to the point where you can pogo off of it

@@bumfuzzeler50 That’s not a feasible method on its own, but since the nail makes noise when it hits walls you could use those to make consistent strats for room navigation. The main issue with blindfold is the bosses, since their patterns are rng.

The window is about 0.08s (4 frames on 50fps). If you try it yourself, you should be able to get decent consistency pretty quickly.
Can't you just use shriek and spam down and attack so you pogo when shriek ends?
You have to double jump and immideatly pogo

This is why I adore speed running. These monumental discoveries can be found YEARS later and it has the chance to redefine certain parts of runs

I think I found a possible new "trick" a few days ago in forgotten crossroads. in the first room that has Goams with the mask shard, you can pogo a background object to get up to the mask shard area. it's not even that difficult to do. don't know if this was known before, but I made a short video getting up there at the beginning of the game (so no charms)
maybe it could save a little time on like a 112% run but idk
Wait what? I knew you could use a vengefly to get up there early, but I didn't know there was any background objects making it possible. I doubt it makes any difference since players collect the mask shard much later anyway, but still.

If you have full soul and there is a place somewhere to Cdash stall to wait for the extra soul vessels or whatever to activate, you could propably get pretty far with this.
I wonder if someone will ever find a way to go infinitely upwards.

Team cherry is just seeing how far players will go while waiting for silksong at this point
I'm like truly godawful at hollow knight so despite a lot of time sunk into it I've never been able to progress very far and seeing videos of the later stages is kinda mindblowing, it literally looks like a whole different game 💀

this also makes the game beatable without using mantis claw
we can chain 8 shriek pogos to get up to lurien without downpatching (using 3 soul vessels + spell twister), and then we can chain 2 or 3 to get up to monomon in a humanly-doable way. all other wallclings had already been solved, though shriek pogos trivialize a bunch of them
in fact, the max% possible clawless is 109%, 2% of which is mantis claw itself. the other is white palace, which has a vertical corridor that needs more than 8 shriek pogos in a row, which isnt possible

The insanity has spread like infection.
Community’s mental health starts to get more questionable as Silksong is still missing.
Only the pure vessel ,Silksong, can contain this madness and even that is not limitless.
