So you just answered my question i had for someone else 🤣 so this shanghai is a movie - okay dang she was making movies 🤣 and i think this was a good weight her clothes fit her well
It's so common now, but you have to know having a performer both sing and dance on stage for an entire concert was so rare at this time. Most singers either stood, pranced or flailed around on stage because singers weren't dancers. Only Michael Jackson could compare. Madonna set the mold for all future female singers
Awww Shit! Madonna feelin herself full and fed after them checks started coming in. Seriously though she mentioned during interviews later on that at this very point she knew she had made it. Hi Empress, I don't expect you to remember, but I detailed my Virgin Tour experience for you in another video. I was 13 and it was amazing. But I want to point out the audience. No cell phones! Notice that everyone was in the moment and enjoying the performance. I miss that. But you are right about her appearance. From the VMAs in 1984 to the Virgin Tour in 1985, Madonna had a fuller figure. I thought she looked beautiful and glamorous. After this era, she started her fitness regimen, and by the time the second video (Open Your Heart) for the next album (True Blue) came out, she had transformed into the thin, muscular Madonna that we've known for decades. It wasn't until after the birth of her first daughter in 1996, that we would see a voluptuous Madonna. She appeared at the 54th Golden Globe Awards in January 1997 in a Dolce & Gabbana gown that highlighted her post-partum body. She looked spectacular!
You’re still watching Madonna the pop star. With her next album True Blue she started becoming Madonna the artist. Never been a huge fan of the LAV era or tour. Stay with your journey bc Madonna ups her game and art and gets MUCH better.
So happy you’re on this tour. No, actually back then the tabloids used to make fun of her weight, and call her chubby, they were ruthless, hence her life long devotion to exercise. Fun facts: the paisley outfits were designed by Prince and this was filmed in her hometown of Detroit with her father in the audience. ;)
Oh wow? Prince designed for Madonna? Madonna was fat shamed? 🤣What? This is the only time I've noticed her looking different? Is it during this tour it happened or before?
They must've had a really diffrent idea of what was considered chubby back then. Cuz I don't see it 🤷🏿♂️ lol but yeah she definitely toned up her body after this tour. I'd never consider her thic tho
@@EmpressReacts yup... I remember everyone commenting on her round belly and her showing off her belly button was such a news item like it was so scandalous. Some were saying it was great to show a not perfect body for young girls so they didn't think you had to be model thin to be pretty... others in the media were just really nasty. But Madonna has always been given a rough time in the press. What male artist would ever get so much criticism for what they wore? Not David Bowie, not Elton, not Mick Jagger, not Prince... no one. The sexism she faced all her career was brutal.
I use to wake up at 6am when my parents went to work and watch this concert over and over again .I learned all the dances and still can recite the spoken word parts 'that goes for you too grandma" lol made me laugh cause I say that all the time 🤣... looking back knowing what's coming for your journey is exciting...
@@EmpressReacts i think she was, her family always comes to her shows.. you'll see some of them when you watch her documentary 'Truth or dare' but that came out after like a prayer the album so you have a while for that one if you wait to watch it in order which I recommend because its better to see them in order to see the progression as an artist and performer.
This was the last of THICKDONNA. Yes the epitome of the 80's. Those dancer's hips were not lying on Dress You Up. You can peep the future Madonna in this first tour.
Front row seats! Lol. This was fun high energy. It always amazes me that these artists can jump around on stage to that extent and still have breath left to pump out some lyrics. It’s seriously not easy to do. I never really paid attention to the weight thing, but I guess you’re right. I kinda like her a little thick. She got a little too toned up at times in her career. It was fun to hear these songs live with you Empress! And, yeah, I’ve always liked that jacket too! ✌🏻🙂✌🏻
You are witnessing the moments of an explosion, this outfit , the fingerless gloves caused a craze in the 80s. Girls who loved Madonna, copied her look it was crazy, the plastic brackets, earrings, necklaces, etc. This tour was so simplistic, but I still watch it from time to time and still love it. Classic Madonna! I agree with a comment below, I think the girl was thinking "FINALLY" some real food. I am so enjoying watching you take this journey and sharing it with us all. It truly has been a lot of fun and I can't wait for you to discover more of her catalog. One thing I will say about Madonna is that she always takes you on a journey with her tours, not only are you getting a different sound at times to her songs, but you have to watch her, those dance moves etc. The girl is singing and dancing at the same time. I have totally respect for her, to have a career in a cut throat industry for as long as she has is pretty amazing!
OMG! Thank you for doing this great video combo! I get chills watching this! This was my favorite video of her tour, it just captures the essence of Madonna! The musicians are awesome and dancers as well, and the beat is spot on! And like someone mentioned Madonna's dance moves are landmarks in History! She was a culture changer, how many young teens, older teens and mid 20's girls became Madonna clones! I'm more of a rock fan, but hell Madonna just knew how to capture an audience and I loved her her songs and her moves! Can't say enough! I've played this back like 5 times in a row, using my digital surround sound so the whole neighborhood can hear it! Damn those were some great times back then!
Her first major American tour and she kills it. I loved the guy dancers and you should really react to when she performed at Live Aid with Michael and Lyndon to back her up.
Yes! Obsessed with her backup dancers 🕺💃🕺They complement her energy, not just physically, but also in a feminine/masculine sort of dynamic as M really benefits when she is surrounded and supported by men (male energy) to play off her femininity (female energy). I’m always amazed at how in sync they are with the choreo. It’s not difficult, but it just flows so naturally with the music. Have always ❤️watching that staggered side slide in the middle of Holiday... that move must have a name because it is just so ICONIC to Madonna. Empress, don’t forget to react to the Live Aid performance of this as well (please?).
@@Gholden1972 Yup, Michael Perea. Looks for days and totally Madonna’s type (though I’m “guessing” he was gay). He started off as Cher’s backup dancer for many years and can also be seen in MJ’s Smooth Criminal and Lionel Richie’s Dancing on the Ceiling. Passed away in 1989 much too soon. 🥲
‘Oh yeah’ 80’s carbs...sexy as. Geez I’m partial to a tambourine. Madonna and a live band is a pure treat, she sounds great, holding her own. Her choreography draws me in every time. It’s a joy watching her image evolve. One thing with Madonna.....she never chased her phenomenon, she did what she did then moved on to something else.....like a brand new artist, logo or collection...but I digress.
She wasn't pregnant, that I know of, but I do know that she started working out more around this time. And, she becomes a working out fanatic. And, it's definitely an 80s concert, but it's the first step in that evolution of her career as well. Her third one set the standard for tours even years later.
So happy that the tour reactions have started! Yes Madonna is a little larger than we are used to her looking in the years that follow which contributes to her looking a bit different here. I wouldn't consider her overweight by any means but not as lean and athletic looking as she becomes later. I think also the exaggerated eye makeup and the thicker brows also add to her different aesthetic in this era. Madonna has naturally thick bushy eyebrows and this was before she really went for a thinner and at times lighter brow based on what hair color she was rocking at the time. I'm loving going along on this journey with you and your other subscribers! Thanks for adding some lighthearted fun to my days. Take care.
MADONNA IS ONE OF THE ALL-TIME GREAT STAGE PERFORMERS OF ALL TIME. She brought a lot of fun soul and life to her music. I went to see her live performance in S.F. and she blew it up. You wanted to jump up and start dancing. Back in those days going to the clubs, girls dressing up, and dancing all night long was it. The 70s,80s, 90s were the best club days. All I can say is different times, eras, genres that will never happen again. Oh well, that's life.
LOVE IT! I love this tour so much! It's still one of my favorites of hers. The look, the songs, the energy, and she sounded great too. So early in her career and we didn't know what we were in store for. She will go on to become one of the GREATEST live performers we have seen. Period. Her tours are an extravaganza. An event. Many other concerts pale in comparison, and I have been to many. This woman works her ass off and doesn't get the credit she deserves for her singing and musical abilities. I love Into the Groove, Dress You Up, Crazy For You, Holiday and Angel off this tour. Sadly Angel, Boderline, and Burning Up were left off the home video release. Never knew why. I hope it gets released in full one day on Blu Ray!
I remember in the famous Time magazine cover article "Madonna: Why She's Hot" one of her band members said that when she stops Holiday and then starts it again a capella, she was always on key and he marveled at how difficult that is. I think she's always been underrated as a singer. She doesn't have the range or power of someone like Mariah, Whitney or Celine, however she's still a good singer and is just as good as any other mainstream pop singer. Again, why is she compared to singers like Mariah when male rock/pop stars are never compared to 'great' singers like a classic tenor, for example? Is Paul McCartney on the same level vocally as Pavarotti? No. I remember Janet mocking Madonna at one point and I was like, bitch, step down. Janet is a great dancer and I like a lot of her music, but as a singer, her voice is thin and reedy with absolutely zero range. Madonna has a lot more emotive quality to her voice and more range.
@@graphiquejack I have been to both Madonna and Janet concerts. They both have great songs. But the visual spectacle of a Madonna concert is unmatched in my opinion. It’s not just the singing, it’s the visuals, the dancing, the backup dancers, the talking to her fans, the MESSAGE and inspiration that separates a Madonna concert from all others.
This is one of her concerts where she dances a lot more I mean street dancing than she did on her other tours this tour is more about her dance abilities than her just showing off and having a great stage production that is why this is my favorite tour of hers it was very RAW and in your face .
I believe the intro, was Madonna doing an impersonation of a Hollywood golden era actress from the 30’s 40’s era,you know like from those old black and white movies.....I believe they call it performance Art...Good Observation...Always an Excellent reaction, because you see the little nuances of an Artist..Madonna is still very influential, you see that in artists as varied as Lady Gaga and Doja Cat👍👍👍👍👍Empress!!!
I thought M’s eye makeup was too heavy at first. But I’ve actually grown to like it. I think it might be because it’s a huge concert arena and it all had to be “extra” due to the setting? That heavy mascara was an 80s thing though...
@@EmpressReacts LOL. It’s a bit of a raccoon look, right? But I knew plenty of girls in college at that time that applied tons of mascara just like that.
Great to see your reaction to her first concert tour-and it was a tour de force. She dazzled with her hit songs, her charisma, sensuous appeal, her dance moves, her energy and her fashion look that set a trend among girls then (the Madonna Wannabes). Appreciate you sharing your journey through Madonna’s iconic artistry.
I love how this concert sounds, I mean in the 80s the music concerts in general sounds so live so real, you can perceive all the instruments for separate, vocals, etc.. not how nowadays because all the music is recorded and plays program music, I do not how explain but you all know what I mean
The press called her fat at this period ( which she was not IMO) and it affected her so much she lost so much weight and probably went to far in the years after
Oh wow! Crazy. But its still like that. Some ppl think a certain weight is fat while others think its normal 😔 everybody still has their own standards but the "curvy" body is more accepted in mainstream media today
Madonna’s once favorite brother Chris (later enemy) detailed this in his tell-all book (he was her backstage costume change). He said after 3 songs she would fly backstage totally winded from the big vocal demands coupled with non stop dancing. She trimmed off the extra lbs to give an even more streamlined look and cleaner performance going forward. And it glammed up her image too.
When Queen of Universe firmly landed on earth. This and Nothing Really matters in Celebration tour are the best tour openings ever. This one was like a thunderstorm. Nothing really matters was reflective and biblical.
I saw this concert on video tape so many times as a kid. Haha. I loved the extra lyrics on dress you up, the choreography and just check out that crowd!!! All those kids and teens. I love how her crowd became more diverse after this tour - white, Latino, black, straight, LGTBQ. Nothing fancy here - just raw giving to the crowd.
I adore your authentic reactions to Madonna. You can see the pride and appreciation in your facial expressions and commentary for another woman making her own decisions, money, and art! Kudos! Another Madonna fan on board I suspect? Keep them reactions coming - entertaining, great job!
Once you're finished with this concert you should move on to her full Live Aid performance, which took place before the release of her next album True Blue.
Empress, I knew you would get to this! I had this concert on VHS tape, that's how old I am. This video is taped in Detroit (May, 1985). I saw the show in Chicago one week earlier...It was the bomb! Do they still say that? Oh, well. Another video from this is Into The Groove.
My friends a couple attended said concert tour in SAN DIEGO. Much anticipated I imagine. They reviewed the 1985 madonna for me . I remember them remarking she wasn't much of a dancer pretty stiff. Rick said she only has room for improvement and he expected her to get much bigger. She forgot to wear her corset on the outside of her dress.
Dress you up, this version the concert became the official music video in July 1985 on MTV , Vh1, and B.E.T, that's when these networks had Music videos. LoL🤣
Yes she was a little bit "chubby" here, but this the ONLY concert tour where you get to see "Chubby Madonna". This tour made her a GLOBAL SUPERSTAR (Not the Queen yet, that came later) but a world wide success, and after this her career simply EXPLODED and I guess she decided then to start working even harder in order to maintain that level of success and that included her fitness as well.
@@EmpressReacts Yes, she looked good to me too. It was the press at the time (as I remember it) that said she was a bit over weight. Never the less, after this Madonna transformed her career, her looks and her fitness. From this point on she acquired an athletic look.
This is what I have been waiting for. And another here on the virgin tour is Everybody and crazy for you are also my favorite. thank you very very much Miss Empress.
Dear Empress, Here we are with the first tour. Yesss so glad to live It with you. Nice reactions as always. But...ehm... holiday wasn't finished there 😅 just an interruption eheh Please don't cut the end of the song 🥺 Love you Empress ❤️
Haha.. I have waited for this moment.. am actually excited to see you watch this concert and I'm experiencing it again with/through you this is fantastic. The intro is the original intro from 1985.. xx Loved your reaction...when u start it again start it in the exact same spot you stopped she breaks down and tells the audience why xx it's her home town(ish)
No one was doing anything like this at the time except Michael Jackson! All other female singers just walked out onto the stage and stood in front of a microphone and sang. As far as her weight, Madonna gained weight on this tour due to the traveling and eating nothing but room service and eating at odd hours. She got serious about losing the weight once the filming of Shanghai Surprise was finished and the True Blue album was complete. She was chunky/curvy up until the True Blue video. By the time Open Your Heart video was filmed, she was very thin due to a better diet, weight training, running and a vegetarian diet regime. She was totally ripped by 1990 and the Vogue era. Her intense workout schedule would continue in this manner until she gave birth in 1996. Afterword she would adopt an even stricter macrobiotic diet, yoga and pilates regime. She was never heavy again except for a brief period in late 1994 during the Bedtime Stories era when the press speculated she was pregnant (see the Versace ad campaign of late 1994/early 1995 shot at the Versace mansion for reference) It actually had more to do with 1994 fashion as the 1940's silhouette was in vogue at the time and the ultra thin waif movement (think Kate Moss) of the Grunge Era had come to an end.
From here on she started fitness to the extremes later. This concert registration misses a few tracks, Borderline, Burning up and Angel, because they thought her vocals were not good enough for the VHS. Her live voice has always been criticized, especially with all the dancing going on. This is only the beginning, she will get better and better at performing. You should watch Live Aid after this, it was in the same year. That's when I saw her live on television first.
So for some reason they cut the performance of angel from the footage. I remember reading something about it at one point. Also there is a balloon drop so thats where the balloons come from.
Her look defined the eighties. Notice all the wannabes in the audience. I’ve been obsessed with this performance since the first time I saw it. Her dancers were awesome too. Her handlers were worried she would not be a big draw but then they had to move her to larger venues. Her star power was continually underestimated.
when you get to Blonde Ambition Tour, you got to play “Like a Virgin”!!! It was so controversial that she nearly got arrested and banned for that performance alone 😂.
To me this is kindergarten Madonna. Lol. She was good but was not really doing anything dif from anybody else in her first two concerts. I still love the way she looked back then. Her hair was everything and that outfit is iconic. I know we got a ways to go but, I CAN NOT WAIT until we get to the Blond Ambition Tour. That tour changed everything. As usual thanks for the smile today. ❤🙂

Yep i remember the night of the concert experience 🥰 And wow true, everyone was paying attention 🤯 crazy 🤣🤣.
Saw this concert in college. Lol!
Me too lol
🔥🔥
Moment #1: Madonna does the dab 3x for her entrance... 30 years before the dab goes viral. Epic!
that's true... she did the first dabs and the first selfie in DSS
🤣🤣🤣 wow that was a slick dab
You’re still watching Madonna the pop star. With her next album True Blue she started becoming Madonna the artist. Never been a huge fan of the LAV era or tour. Stay with your journey bc Madonna ups her game and art and gets MUCH better.
And with The Blond Ambition Tour it was Madonna the legend
Interesting ‼️🔥
So happy you’re on this tour. No, actually back then the tabloids used to make fun of her weight, and call her chubby, they were ruthless, hence her life long devotion to exercise. Fun facts: the paisley outfits were designed by Prince and this was filmed in her hometown of Detroit with her father in the audience. ;)
Oh wow? Prince designed for Madonna? Madonna was fat shamed? 🤣What? This is the only time I've noticed her looking different? Is it during this tour it happened or before?
Her whole families in the audience. When she said "That goes for you too Geandma!" At the start of holiday she wasn't kidding lol
@@graphiquejack ppl were just hating on madonna str8t up💯
I use to wake up at 6am when my parents went to work and watch this concert over and over again .I learned all the dances and still can recite the spoken word parts 'that goes for you too grandma" lol made me laugh cause I say that all the time 🤣... looking back knowing what's coming for your journey is exciting...
🤣 that's so 🆒️. Was she talking to her real grandma since she was in Detroit?
@@EmpressReacts i think she was, her family always comes to her shows.. you'll see some of them when you watch her documentary 'Truth or dare' but that came out after like a prayer the album so you have a while for that one if you wait to watch it in order which I recommend because its better to see them in order to see the progression as an artist and performer.
Lol Empress gave us a Holiday cliff hanger y'all 🤣
🤣🤣 i aint even know
This was the last of THICKDONNA. Yes the epitome of the 80's. Those dancer's hips were not lying on Dress You Up. You can peep the future Madonna in this first tour.
🤣🤣🤣 yaaaas boys and THICKDONNA had a booty go awf ‼️🤣
Front row seats! Lol. This was fun high energy. It always amazes me that these artists can jump around on stage to that extent and still have breath left to pump out some lyrics. It’s seriously not easy to do. I never really paid attention to the weight thing, but I guess you’re right. I kinda like her a little thick. She got a little too toned up at times in her career. It was fun to hear these songs live with you Empress! And, yeah, I’ve always liked that jacket too!
✌🏻🙂✌🏻
Right! That jacket is 🔥🔥🔥 and i like the weight too
Wait to you see the transformation for the Papa Dont Preach video.
👀👀im excited
Yep, i only have respect💯💯 can't wait to continue the journey
Michael was in the Material Girl vid
@@Gholden1972 Yup, Michael Perea. Looks for days and totally Madonna’s type (though I’m “guessing” he was gay). He started off as Cher’s backup dancer for many years and can also be seen in MJ’s Smooth Criminal and Lionel Richie’s Dancing on the Ceiling. Passed away in 1989 much too soon. 🥲
Michael and Lyndon? The two dancers? I'm def gonna check it out🥰

I still have the Virgin Tour somewhere on a VHS tape....

Interesting...sounds like she knew when to stop riding a wave
I've never watched this tour. Excited to watch it with you for the first time!
Okay, turn up‼️‼️‼️ 🤣
She wasn't pregnant, that I know of, but I do know that she started working out more around this time. And, she becomes a working out fanatic.
And, it's definitely an 80s concert, but it's the first step in that evolution of her career as well. Her third one set the standard for tours even years later.
🔥🔥
Oh no you cut holiday to early! 😉 Great reaction as usual!! 😍 one of my fav tours... raw 80s pop.
🤣yeah checkout pt 2 🤣 i didn't know
So happy that the tour reactions have started! Take care.
❤❤❤my pleasure ‼️
A big round of applause...👏👏👏👏
💯💯
Oh my god, I can’t wait for you to see her Blond Ambition Tour, the evolution is unreal.
👀👀 can't wait ‼️
@Pray ForMe amen. Preach. Lol
Wow surprised it hasn't! Seems like something that would make 💰
@@EmpressReacts exactly! Hardcore fans like me have been wanting it for years. Lol
Did you notice her dabbing!
Haha. I guess technically she created it?! Never thought of it that way.
She was also the first one to twerk when she sang Sooner or Later at the Oscars. She does it as she's walking of stage.
🤣🤣 not til yall mentioned it. Madonna - the dabbing pioneer 🤣
"She can't sing" the critics after attending one of her concerts,"We love her" the fans!!!
🤣🤣🤣 madonna isn't the best singer and that's part of her appeal
@@graphiquejack 🤣🤣🤣they both have their strength and weaknesses.
@@graphiquejack I ❤️ hearing the part about how she restarts Holiday totally in tune. And the choreo is also in sync as well!
I'm being spoiled. First Kate Bush and now Madonna's Virgin Tour. This is so cool!!! I can't wait for Part 2!!
😇😇😇
The queen!!
🔥
I haven’t watched this concert in a long time, but I still have my copy on VHS 😎
I got the vhs too! My favorite concert! I'll never get tired of it!
🆒️😎
This is one of her concerts where she dances a lot more I mean street dancing than she did on her other tours this tour is more about her dance abilities than her just showing off and having a great stage production that is why this is my favorite tour of hers it was very RAW and in your face .
interesting!
This is so exciting! I've seen this concert a billion times but watching on this journey with you just makes it feel so LIVE!!!! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
TURN UP‼️ Madonna girl we in the building 🤣🤣
I’m loving your Madonna journey !!!!!
Glad you're enjoying ‼️ its 🔥🔥🔥
Would love to go to a concert with you Empress!!!
We lit ‼️🤣
I believe the intro, was Madonna doing an impersonation of a Hollywood golden era actress from the 30’s 40’s era,you know like from those old black and white movies.....I believe they call it performance Art...Good Observation...Always an Excellent reaction, because you see the little nuances of an Artist..Madonna is still very influential, you see that in artists as varied as Lady Gaga and Doja Cat👍👍👍👍👍Empress!!!
thank u!!!
yeah finally this reaction
🔥
This brings back so many memories!!!
😇🥰
This is soooo good. Madonna looks beautiful. Love it.
🔥🔥
I thought M’s eye makeup was too heavy at first. But I’ve actually grown to like it. I think it might be because it’s a huge concert arena and it all had to be “extra” due to the setting? That heavy mascara was an 80s thing though...
Nah im not feeling 🤣 it took away from her looks imo
@@EmpressReacts LOL. It’s a bit of a raccoon look, right? But I knew plenty of girls in college at that time that applied tons of mascara just like that.
@@tomrobinsondc 🤣🤣😂 no girls

Great to see your reaction to her first concert tour-and it was a tour de force. She dazzled with her hit songs, her charisma, sensuous appeal, her dance moves, her energy and her fashion look that set a trend among girls then (the Madonna Wannabes). Appreciate you sharing your journey through Madonna’s iconic artistry.
Glad you enjoying!!!
This is the more Madonna Madonna
She's got some catchy tunes, some clever music writing
Yasss more more Virgin tour !!!
🔥🔥
I'm so glad you caught this. ;) Also, fun fact: Beastie Boys were the opening act for this tour. 😘
I love her!❤️
This still is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 to this day
💯💯
I love how this concert sounds, I mean in the 80s the music concerts in general sounds so live so real, you can perceive all the instruments for separate, vocals, etc.. not how nowadays because all the music is recorded and plays program music, I do not how explain but you all know what I mean
Yeah i get what you're saying
The press called her fat at this period ( which she was not IMO) and it affected her so much she lost so much weight and probably went to far in the years after
Oh wow! Crazy. But its still like that. Some ppl think a certain weight is fat while others think its normal 😔 everybody still has their own standards but the "curvy" body is more accepted in mainstream media today
Yeah. I thought she looked perfectly healthy in 85. U should see how she looks in 87. Major changes. Keep up the good work 🙏🏻
Madonna’s once favorite brother Chris (later enemy) detailed this in his tell-all book (he was her backstage costume change). He said after 3 songs she would fly backstage totally winded from the big vocal demands coupled with non stop dancing. She trimmed off the extra lbs to give an even more streamlined look and cleaner performance going forward. And it glammed up her image too.
🤣🤣 dang enemy - what Christopher did? 🤣 Was it you who sent me the link to his audiobook?🤣🤣 I gotta listen cause he's not lying Madonna was winded 🤣
🤣 yeah all i see is DJ and Kimmy ib the crowd aaaand yaaaas to those extra lyrics 🔥🔥🔥
Glad your enjoying it😀 amazing she can still carry a tune and all of that dancing!!
Yeah this is 🔥🔥

I adore your authentic reactions to Madonna. You can see the pride and appreciation in your facial expressions and commentary for another woman making her own decisions, money, and art! Kudos! Another Madonna fan on board I suspect? Keep them reactions coming - entertaining, great job!
Wow, thank u‼
Once you're finished with this concert you should move on to her full Live Aid performance, which took place before the release of her next album True Blue.

4:44 LOVE THAT PAUSE!! May go to the tour and make that my FB wallpaper
That is dope 🤣
I know you’ve heard this before but your awareness of pop culture history is so refreshing. “Dropped off at the mall” lol too funny and too accurate
Wow,thank you‼️
Empress, I knew you would get to this! I had this concert on VHS tape, that's how old I am. This video is taped in Detroit (May, 1985). I saw the show in Chicago one week earlier...It was the bomb! Do they still say that? Oh, well. Another video from this is Into The Groove.

Loved your review! Can’t wait for part two! The guy on the guitar was so damn cute! 😍
😇🥰 thanx and yeah he was slick cute 😎
My friends a couple attended said concert tour in SAN DIEGO. Much anticipated I imagine. They reviewed the 1985 madonna for me . I remember them remarking she wasn't much of a dancer pretty stiff. Rick said she only has room for improvement and he expected her to get much bigger. She forgot to wear her corset on the outside of her dress.
interesting!!
Dress you up, this version the concert became the official music video in July 1985 on MTV , Vh1, and B.E.T, that's when these networks had Music videos. LoL🤣
Looks like our Empress GOT TO IT!!! And yes Madonna was a little bit thicker on this tour.
🥰😇 i ❤ the thickness
I think her vocals are great considering she just doesn't stop moving.
Yeah, they weren't bad
Yes she was a little bit "chubby" here, but this the ONLY concert tour where you get to see "Chubby Madonna". This tour made her a GLOBAL SUPERSTAR (Not the Queen yet, that came later) but a world wide success, and after this her career simply EXPLODED and I guess she decided then to start working even harder in order to maintain that level of success and that included her fitness as well.
She looked good at this weight imo
@@EmpressReacts
Yes, she looked good to me too.

‘Dress you up’ was the first single I ever bought when I was like 9 yrs old. I still have it in my old vinyl collection.....lol
🤣🤣🤩so cool!
Will def check it out ✅
So for some reason they cut the performance of angel from the footage.
Oh wow! That's even more amazing
