A friend recently bought an A4 estate with the 3.0 TDi and she was amazed at how fast it is. The phrase "like a freight train" definitely came up, they are deceptively potent engines. The thing that really shows how highly spec'd that A6 is that it has pretty much everything you expect in a brand new car. Maybe not quite as nice, especially the screen, but the kit is all there.
Hi Matt, I have the exact same car, same plate, same model and spec. Mines on 220,000 and never misses a beat, they are very fast, strong and powerful cars. I was so happy to see that this video was coming. Keep up the good work mate ❤️❤️💪💪
Concerned about depreciation on his 2 year old BMW 520d touring my brother sold it and bought an ‘08 A6 for a few thousand pounds. The Audi was a nice car , 12 years old with 120k plus on the clock and ran well doing 80 miles a day for a couple of years. It occasionally came up with some random warnings about the centre brake light not working but once you’d learned to ignore those it was a great car!
I was born in 1953 and fast forward to 1993 and 40 years of age, I guarantee that every A6 equivalent 20 year old car from the early 1970s would be crusty with rot everywhere and residing in the boneyard where we would kick holes in them for laughs. A goldmine of electrical and mechanical parts though. Today the yards are full of cars with perfect bodies that are uneconomical to repair because of electrical faults. What a turnaround!
all because labor is too expensive in the uk, and 3-500pounds a month can get u a preety decent newer car. me coming from eastern europe, where labor doesnt cost as much, we fix and use theese cars for longer. heck even so most peoplejust dont fix at all and run them to the ground and you would be amazed how long they last. plus mot here is not as strict ;)
@@richardsheil5289and if that don’t work, disconnect the battery, leave it overnight for the electrons to dribble out, then try again. Trust me, it works.
Really enjoyed this video, Matt. The fact that you were honest shows you're a good used car seller. Sometimes these EML lights come on, but the car runs fine! Ive known this happen a lot.
Swirl flaps are a non-issue on these ... you can simply disconnect the swirl flap motors and use VCDS to map out the "self check" that gets performed at startup - if the arms are worn even a tiny bit, they will throw a code the 2nd time the swirl flap doesn't fully open when starting the engine. I had mine done 2 years ago and the car remapped at the same time - zero issues since.
why would it? Their purpose is to help improve airflow into the air/fuel mix via the intake to improve low down torque when starting off - there's no carbon@@Tom3294.
Matt's covered why previously on a video. Basically in the UK because of being rhd and rusting a lot because of the weather UK cars have no export market so are cheaper. Not to mention the mentality of the general public that cars with above 100k miles are ready to scrap even if they're pretty new.
@@joshua6244 they do yes quite a lot of it😂. We don't have much snow tbf but they use salt in most winters anyway just in case I suppose. I also forgot to mention in my original comment that diesels have absolutely plummeted in price in the past year because of all the low emission zone rubbish that is popping up all over the country
Not to mention no market for RHD cars in Europe other than Ireland, and since Brexit that's gone too as UK is out of EU and huge VAT makes any savings not worth it anymore.
There is alot to be said for cheap old motors....! I was driving a £45k which developed a fault so while it was away I picked up a merc e320 cdi estate (for the dogs) cost me 2k and I LOVE it!!!! When my other car came back I sold it and still running the merc with nearly 200k miles on it. Free motoring 😊
Chris I 100% agree. After a messy divorce back in the year 2000 I came from driving a brand new £25,000 Alfa 156 to a £350 Audi 100 I got from a friend. The feeling of freedom from depreciation, damage, expensive services and monthly payments was exhilarating. In saying that I’m back in brand new executives but the 2 years I had that Audi was brilliant and I sold it for £350 so it cost me nothing.
Great workhorse these cars are. Matt you’ll also be pleased to know these A6 C6 models with the 3.0tdi actually have the ZF 6 speed torque converter box, not a multi-tronic (or multi-tragic as otherwise known) 🤘🏼
I've always felt the Carly diagnoses had a whiff of BS. Now it's confirmed. Your diesel apparently has an ignition coil fault. (08:35) Yes, an ignition coil on your diesel.
Audi A6 C6 models with 3.0 engines always had a 6 speed ZF torque converter transmissions, not the CVT multitronic ones :) Also torque wise, 2004 -2006 C6 models of A6 3.0 had 450nm of torque and 221bhp. Its direct competitors of this era E60 and W211 had 500nm of torque with similar bhp. This would be more in comparison to a W211 280 CDI. I owned a 55 plate S-Line 3.0tdi Avant for a few years. Really liked it.
I have a 2006 2.7tdi manual Avant and love it. Owned for nearly 13 years, showing 229k and still going strong. Still scrubs up well and great Audi build quality. Who needs a new car! 👍🏻
I had one a few years back. Bought it late 2017 58 reg…… 35,000 miles paid about 8,000 retail. Got frustrated with lack of technology….. Bluetooth and Reversing Camera etc. traded it in for a new Grand Jeep Cherokee in Feb 18….. got 6,000 for it. Was a great experience. It was the peak of the period when diesels were persona non grata….. the Jeep Cherokee was pre registered with delivery mileage….. got that for 29,500 and still have it 60,000 later.
you can get a swirl flap kit from poland , which I did for 200 Euros and then just get local garage to fit it for couple of hrs labour.. anyway you have moved it on already .. I now have A4 ( Euro 6) 3.0tdi avant quattro which is a lovely drive and quiite a Q car as 0.60 in 6S
I had an A6 Avant S-line 3.0 Tdi of that era. It never once let me down, a perfect workhorse. I really liked the steering, it felt sweet and ‘oily’. Great car Matt.
I owned the same car but 2008…had the swirl flap issue and paid £1400 to have it fixed, this was a few years ago. But one of the few cars I regret changing. The 3.0d with Quattro was great just so much torque, it just kept pulling and was economical too. Stage one remap made it a very fast car for the size. I remember driving it in some heavy snow and most cars couldn’t get up a small hill near where I live this just went up without any issues the Quattro system is excellent.
£1,400? Ouch - I got mine remapped and had the guy disconnect the swirl flap motors then turn off the swirl flap self-check in VCDS... no problems for 2 years now.
My 07 had the longest car name of any vehicle I've owned, Audi A6 3.0 tdi Avant S-Line Le Mans Special Edition. Also swirl flap delete, also perfect for munching motorway miles effortlessly with avg 45mpg (19 kpl) and a very comfortable interior to do it in,
I have this car, in Le Mans spec (2007).. absolutely love it, I do take good care of it, serviced twice a year, just put pilot sport 5s all around on it. Mines done 130k, I reckon it’s good for another 50k. It’s fast, comfortable, grips well… will be sad to see it go when it finally does. I highly recommend to anyone thinking of buying, £1750 is an absolute bargain!
I had a 3.0 Allroad. Amazing car but I highly recommend getting VCDS. They are difficult to sell because of the car tax. People expect cheap cars to have cheap tax. But these cars were over 40k new. They’re getting a lot for the money!!
I'm on my 3rd 3.0 quattro ..now with my A7 3.0 bi turbo...just done the ZF 8HP gearbox service myself . I love it ..320 ps . Absolute rocket ship but practical too as tows the twin axle caravan lovely and with honeycomb grille and Rs rear valance looks unreal . I service mine every 6k myself..what a car
Great videos Matt. I have a late 61 plate version with the 3.0tdi engine. The later ones were 240bhp with around 500nm I believe. You can get 50mpg on the right roads. In regards to the engine light, it is fairly common. My OBD reader says it's the EGR which sometimes sticks if you drive it too conservatively. So a good push every now and again will clear it out. You did well to get your gearbox serviced at that price, I paid around £400 all in. Think they take 9 litres of oil. Stupidly Audi claim they are sealed for life.Very nice cars for the money. Although I think I paid a bit too much for mine two years ago...11k and it had 86k on the clock.(Covid prices)
That really is a fine looking vehicle for the money not to mention the Michelin Cross Climate tyre being a super choice for an all season car such as this. Blimey full tank on a part exchange. Don't see that every day. Likely about a 70 litre tank in that A6 too. Thank you.
I think the snazzy keyring doubles as a knuckle duster. Looked great after the work, Matt. I think you should start a charity rescuing old motors. Seriously. Sad to see so many cars scrapped before their time.
My parents had one of these car. Black A6 Avant Quattro 3.0tdi with 250 bhp. Took it on vacation from The Netherlands to France and really liked how it drove. Amazing highway cruiser and really enjoyable at pulling away at traffic lights
I like that era of Audi interior , they are just class. My dad had an old 2004 A4 2L its was lovely. Way better than the 2001 Proton Saga he had before it ( even tho they where MUCH better cars than they looked ).
In 2006 I had the saloon version as a company car - the 3 litre quattro. It went like stink but smoked a little even back then. I found it nippy but the power band was quite narrow - unless that was a diesel thing. In it's day it was quite something, as was a large powerful diesel engine. Diesel still had a bad reputation though more and more people were starting to realise they could be nippy. It was weird listening to you start yours up. It sounded exactly the same as mine did almost 2 decades ago. Brought back memories.
I've got a 2006 Audi A6 C6 2.0tdi avant. I can honestly say it's been the best car I've ever owned. In my 12 years of ownership it's been absolutely faultless. Thanks Matt.
I got a 57 plate A6 Saloon Le-Mans spec'd 3.0 TDI, and that thing pulls so effortlessly. Although it's now sidelined as I needed a car for getting in and out of London's money making scheme (ULEZ) I want to get it fixed up and put back on the road as the MOT has now expired, I got to fix the adaptive cornering unit and high beam on one headlight thanks to biodegradable wiring inside the unit, replace an engine mount which has failed, clean a clogged EGR cooler and service the gearbox. I wish I could keep using it on a daily basis, because it has given me countless hours of driving pleasure, and have managed ridiculous mileage out of a tank of V-Power.
Good result. As honest and straight as we are accustomed to. A lot of car for the money despite the engine warning light issue the buyer is fully aware of.
I've just bought a 57 plate A6 C6 Avant SE Mutleytronic 2.7 Tdi 1 owner from new, I actually like the CVT, I had it on an A6 C5 saloon 1.9tdi 130bhp. Have also had a 2.5tdi A6 Allroad auto but that was hideous on fuel due to the weight and undergearing
I had one of these in Australia but it was the 2.4 litre V6. It was a lovely car and a great tourer. It also had the Multitronic gearbox which gave no problems but I sold it before it had chance to play up but after 5 years the car proved to be faultless.
Cracking cars. I've owned four of them and I'm currently running a run out 2010 A6 saloon that I purchased in January with 34000 miles on the clock. I've owned a saloons an estate and an allroad and they are all good. The C6 variant is rock solid. What's a shame is that finding big saloons what are low miles retirement cars will be a thing of the past in a few years. We can thank the popularity of faux SUV's for the demise of the big saloon/ estate.
I had 2.7tdi saloon. loved it. did 180k miles over 7 years. The engine went at 225k miles. The inlet manifolds were done on mine via a German eBay seller who shipped out refurbished ones (with the flap link fixed) to me and I shipped back my original ones, for just £250 per side. It never affected the drive and I had the engine light on for more than half my ownership before the repair. The gearbox was always brilliant also. Mine smoked under harsh acceleration and used a bit of oil between services. gutted when it went! Sold it for £1400 spares or repairs...
I thought you can't pass MOT with engine management light on. I paid £1k to resolve an EML on my 2.0TDI A4 because of this even though it drove perfectly fine, it was a stuck piece of plastic apparently on a small motor on the manifold which didn't affect the drive. I should've left it.
@@ln5747 Yeah, technically you can't pass a MoT, but if the light is not on, at the point of inspection (and you have a cheap code re-setter in your possession) you can... Its crazy to think its pieces of plastic and plastic joints that cause the problem and relatively easy to fix.. I have seen a lot of Audis fix the issues with cable ties...
I have a dump run car. It's a berlingo. Vans aren't allowed at our dump without a permit costing £50 per visit. What's a van but not a van? :) It also gets used for furniture. It actually gets used quite often even though its not the daily driver and since I brought it pre trashed by a dog owning family, I don't need to worry about keeping it nice.
I had bought one of these as a main dealer px a few years back. It was a 3.0TDI Avant 1 owner on 250K miles and it drove perfect. I daily drove it for 6 months and sold it. Never had an issue.
Can you pass MOT in the UK with check engine light on? In some US states you can’t, and that is most likely the reason our beloved XC 90 will be decommissioned at the time of the next state inspection. We have a check engine light that doesn’t affect performance at all, but we can’t get rid of it. Not without spending $1200.
I would put a set of glow plugs in it there not that expensive if you know somebody who can do it for you probably a couple of hundred quid and I would give that engine a full Terra clean and carbon clean sometimes cleaning all the injectors inlet manifold. Swell flaps EGR valve veins on the turbo can help sometimes and you don’t have to do the swell flaps there just full of gunk and shite
Bought a 3.0tdi special edition avant few months back 2011 plate , i replaced my 535d and can honestly say its better in every way ! The sound system (bose) is awesome
I have a 2008 A6 2.0 TDi. Sits on 164k miles currently. Paid £650 in May last year as it came in part exchange at work and I needed a car quickly. The turbo seized, so I replaced it. Debated getting rid of if plenty of times, but minus the turbo it's never let me down. Now had a full service, cambelt and waterpump, and had the wheels refurbished. Instead of spending thousands buying another car which could have more issues than the Audi, I'd rather spend some money on the A6 and keep it on the road.
The major problem, as far as I can tell, is that when the car takes its annual test and the "dreaded" eml stays on, it will fail, so unless the local dump is at the end of your garden, it is the end of the line for the "cheap" runaround. Darned shame, especially when it doesn't seem to affect the running. Had a V70 once that threw the engine light on every time it rained. (Just checked the weather forecast before submitting and happy days).
this guy he is actually trying to get to every pithole I was thinking about Yes these can be bought for literally few hundreds unfortunately 2.0PD TDI was not one of the finest diesel engines out there compared to indestructible ASV/AHF or later PD engines. Oil pump problems not correct oil supplied send it to death after 60k miles really. Automatic gearboxes on these are not finest either their manual counterparts have dualmass flywheel which goes quite often as well. Injectors are major issues as well on these if you dont take quality diesel list goes on in typical Audi fashion DPF added to these and they were disaster.... KUDOS up for your bravery as always
One of my friends’ dads has the exact same year and spec but as a saloon. Car is at well over 250k miles and just keeps going, think it’s had its engine light on for the best part of a decade but as it’s a pre 06 car it gets away with it come MOT haha. Always been fond of it, despite the age feels far higher quality than some much newer Audis I’ve been in
Always loved the A6 Avant, my personal favourite is the twin turbo V6 diesel All-Road. I remember driving one of those almost 450 miles up to Dundee, and when I got there I felt as fresh as a daisy. Ever since then, it's been on my lottery win car list, amongst many others!
I like this era of Audi's. Smart, and a darn good workhorse. That'll do at least another 50-60 thousand miles easily before it needs some serious looking at! Keep it up Matt!
Had about 5 of these in my lifetime 3 sedans ( 1 2011 facelift, 1 2008 and 1 2006 ) 2 estates both 2007 3 of them went away from the fing gearbox, terrible gearbox on the 3.0s, cost almost 5k to fix 2011 one was amazing, with the led lights and everything
I like close to London and I'd love to buy one of these beautiful diesels but I'm stuck with a terrible 1.6 high consumption petrol focus ..... these awesome cars are getting destroyed for no reason
Have a 2010 audi a6 c6 avant I use as a cruiser to the south of Italy, a 1750 mile trip. For a yearly 14 year old car it gets 48 mpg fully laden, is more comfortable to sit in than all the other 3 to 4 year old cars I’ve done the trip in and it just eats up the miles. The only thing I dislike is that the standard xenon headlights are naff having experienced LED headlights in newer cars. You can in this sense feel the car has dated technology. Otherwise for it is ideal for these kind of trips.
Another video featuring a normal car with normal issues is a bit like feeling peckish and finding a bar of chocolate you didn't know you had! Keep them coming!👍
Hi Matthew, another great video of an under appreciated car. Not much better than VAG diesel estate. Thanks and keep going, speaking on behalf of everyone of your subscribers I'm sure, we love the videos. Good luck!
Isn't a engine management light on an mot failure meaning its probably going to cost alot more to fix, having said that it's probably worth spending reading some comments on here.
I don't know how you do it one minute you have god knows how many faults, I drunk my coffee hand you have fixed all the faults and made about 3 grand! Amazing 😊
The Audi MultiTronic was the beginning of the modern era of CVT’s and is possibly the best of any CVT to date. It’s responsiveness, traditional transmission feel, reliability and repairability is fantastic. It’s even more fun when combined with anything above the 1.8LTurbo.
My uncle had the same car he bought it brand new from Doğuş Automotive in Turkey it was a 3.0 TDI Sedan with all the options he used it as his company car but after some time he retired the car he drove the car until a year ago it had over 400.000 kms and he was servicing it every 10.000kms the car didn't have a problem it had small problems like electronics failing and a DSG gearbox failure (it was a gearbox brain failure so a small issue) so overall it's a great car if you maintain it
Used to have a 2007 Avant 3.0 TDI quattro for 6 years. Really liked that car and it never left me stranded (apart from the battery dying from no driving in the winter a few times). It was in beautiful spec too, originating from Italy: Daytona Grey Pearl with base exterior but S-line interior, suspension and brakes. I had to address several visual issues which can also be seen on yours, mainly the side sills starting to rust from the stone chips coming from the front wheels and the plastic rear lights on the boot lid becoming sun damaged (you really should have fixed those as well since you were already doing the front lights!). Also seems that the rear window washer motor breaks on pretty much all the Avants.
Rear window motors on pretty much all Audi breaks... I had A3 bought almost new and shortly after it broke. It's the most common problem I know with them if you're ever behind Audi, just have a look 90% will be hanging broken...
My brother-in-law bought one of these 2 years ago in that bronze colour 08 plate with 176,000 miles. Unmarked paintwork has never missed a beat for £2,500
I had a 2lr diesel A6 Avant, great car. I had an A4 of that era, it had 280,000 on the clock when I sold it, still went well. My current A5 has 230,000 miles, look after these and they go forever
Great video Matt. My Dad had a green A6 Avant with the reg LY55 HYZ when I was growing up so they must have been registered at almost exactly the same time!
Used to have the a6 C6 all road.. Sadly they suffer from wet floors.. Cowl drains are just to small for the size of the car... But C6 is bulletproof and best looking a6.
You get a lot of car for your money. I bought a 2002 A6 C5 1.9 130bhp pd 6 speed sport that needed a bit of tidying it had 124,000 on the clock. It was back in 2010 for 2.2k. The new price was something like 33k in 2002! Very reliable engine! Only the electrical issues let the car down I had to get a secondhand replacement comfort module and keys. Then both rear window wires broke in the feeds to the doors I had to solder in a new bit of cable made me think it might have been a limo or taxi. Then a tyre fitter in France blew up my air conditioning compressor rubber safety clutch doing 120 mph in it without telling me he would test drive it. I then had to do the journey with no air conditioning as I had to take the radiator out to replace the pulley.
Lovely to see you get your hands on one of these Matt! I have one in silver, a 2006 2.7TDI Quattro avant (basically the same engine just a little less power). Absolutely love it, bought it back in 2019 with 145,000 miles and it’s now on 180,000 and the only faults have been a dodgy rear centre brake light and the fact that occasionally the engine light will come on for an hour or so and then go off again. Not too worried though as you said. Mine also does smoke a bit when you put your foot down. I believe the Quattro models have the tiptronic gearbox rather than the multitronic and it’s apparently a much stronger box, deffo can be a bit clunky at times though. Hoping to get a couple more years out of mine before either the gearbox or timing chain goes Great content as usual !
I wouldn't worry too much my 2001 2.5TDi quattro puffed a little bit of smoke which I had from new (as a personal import.. remember those days) when booted but then again it was still on the same clutch at 260000 miles in 2008 before I sold it to a czech guy who hammered it up and down Autobahns. A great car which I really miss.
Good work done on a car not ready for the scrap heap. Your mate will get many years tip and dog runs out of this car without ruining his daily driver. Keep it up! Well done.
I missed you browsing the service history! Always love to see that. Tells a lot about the car's life. Great car! Amazed about the low car prices in the UK.
Have a 2008 plate 3.0tdi allroad Bought it at 120,000 very extensive service history and now 156,000 Apart from the air suspension ( bag and valve block replaced ) not much trouble Have a 2015 a6 allroad now and it’s not the same, lovely but not just different Something about this era of a6 !
I recently purchased a 2006 Audi Q7 with the 3.0 TDI. It has 255,000 Kilometer and the interior shows it. many bits and pieces missing despite this one being top of the line with 2 tone, panoramic sunroof. Everything works. with that being said, i bought it cheap and it comes with 1 previous owner and all of it service records. it drives awesome. however, it does have the airbag light, TPMS light on, and it states that there are light bulbs out despite them all lighting up as they should. Also, the MMI system is stuck on radio mode. I think think that is where i should start. The timing belt has been serviced at the correct intervals. What's your opinion
Those diagnostic ones especially the cheapo ones are useless, they always throw up stuff that are not needed.I had a problem with my Audi and the mechanic used diagnostic machine which said i need some part that cost me £80 then fitting cost . Of course once it was fitted it never sorted the problem, wasted all the money.I had same problem with a VW golf in the main dealer it flashed up 5 problems. It was none of them , a local guy found a little wire had got the coating rubbed off it fixed with a little wire. The problem is real proper diagnostic machines cost thousands and the people that have them don't know what the figures mean when they use them, especially main dealers. Check out O Rileys you tube channel on diagnostics its a revelation.
I had an Audi A4 3.0tdi from the same era... Looked after it faultlessly but then the engine gave me issues.. I traded in after for a new A4 Allroad 2.0tfsi.. Miss the extra torque and the 25% loss in economy but I still prefer the petrol.. Don't miss smelly diesel and diesel rattles... That was a great deal and you hardly made any profit at all - real mates rates...
On an early 3.0TDI an engine light would normally be coked up inlet manifold flaps. Both banks can be replaced with uprated units for about £450 easy fix!
Had one of these but a saloon about 8 years ago. Loved that car and a great engine. Had a 2012 a4 a few years later and it wasnt a patch on the a6. Felt audi really let their interior quality drop significantly. Great cars that era of a6

Wouldn’t disconnecting it just cause a large amount of carbon buildup, even more so now that it’s been mapped?
why would it? Their purpose is to help improve airflow into the air/fuel mix via the intake to improve low down torque when starting off - there's no carbon@@Tom3294.
Man its crazy how prices differ between the UK and EU. Here in Czechia this could be a 8000£ car all day!
Matt's covered why previously on a video. Basically in the UK because of being rhd and rusting a lot because of the weather UK cars have no export market so are cheaper. Not to mention the mentality of the general public that cars with above 100k miles are ready to scrap even if they're pretty new.
@@Afraz_9n3 Plenty of snow in Czechia winters. Do they use salt on the roads there?
@@joshua6244 they do yes quite a lot of it😂. We don't have much snow tbf but they use salt in most winters anyway just in case I suppose. I also forgot to mention in my original comment that diesels have absolutely plummeted in price in the past year because of all the low emission zone rubbish that is popping up all over the country
@@Afraz_9n3im from Portugal and there 100k.miles is just a new car hehe
Not to mention no market for RHD cars in Europe other than Ireland, and since Brexit that's gone too as UK is out of EU and huge VAT makes any savings not worth it anymore.
There is alot to be said for cheap old motors....! I was driving a £45k which developed a fault so while it was away I picked up a merc e320 cdi estate (for the dogs) cost me 2k and I LOVE it!!!! When my other car came back I sold it and still running the merc with nearly 200k miles on it. Free motoring 😊
Same here , I bought a e320 estate for £1300 in 2013 for my dogs whilst driving a brand new XF. The jag is long gone but I am still running the Merc !
The Multitronic is fine, not great in this initial configuration but after 07/08 they are little trouble and better than DSG that's for sure.
@@ln5747 I'd rather have to maybe repair the DSG once than have a CVT in a 3l diesel.
Nice one Matt, keeping these old cars on the road is great and more people need to do it, great video great car keep it up
I've always felt the Carly diagnoses had a whiff of BS. Now it's confirmed. Your diesel apparently has an ignition coil fault. (08:35) Yes, an ignition coil on your diesel.
Audi A6 C6 models with 3.0 engines always had a 6 speed ZF torque converter transmissions, not the CVT multitronic ones :)
Also torque wise, 2004 -2006 C6 models of A6 3.0 had 450nm of torque and 221bhp.
Agree these are brilliant cars, my friend had the 4.2 V8 petrol SE model in Avant and it was a rocketship
you can get a swirl flap kit from poland , which I did for 200 Euros and then just get local garage to fit it for couple of hrs labour.. anyway you have moved it on already .. I now have A4 ( Euro 6) 3.0tdi avant quattro which is a lovely drive and quiite a Q car as 0.60 in 6S
I honestly love this guy. Your videos are so entertaining to watch makes me happy as soon as I see another one uploaded 😊
Glad you like them!
I wouldn’t say overspending I would’ve said if I bought a car from this chap I’ll get a decent motor
Why not just do a swirl flip delete

It’s fast, comfortable, grips well… will be sad to see it go when it finally does. I highly recommend to anyone thinking of buying, £1750 is an absolute bargain!
I’ve just bought a 2010 version of this lemans beautiful car
Try getting Carly to use in a Jaguar XF, I tried but only sorts the very basic package faults so not up to speed on Jags as of yet.
I'd love a A6/530d/E350d wagon any day. Pulls like a train, looks representing and nice out and inside, a lot of space. Perfect
Although it's now sidelined as I needed a car for getting in and out of London's money making scheme (ULEZ)
I want to get it fixed up and put back on the road as the MOT has now expired, I got to fix the adaptive cornering unit and high beam on one headlight thanks to biodegradable wiring inside the unit, replace an engine mount which has failed, clean a clogged EGR cooler and service the gearbox.
It also gets used for furniture. It actually gets used quite often even though its not the daily driver and since I brought it pre trashed by a dog owning family, I don't need to worry about keeping it nice.

Just bought a 2011 Audi A6 avant, 2.0 170bhp but it was a hell of a find, one owner from new and serviced every 10k miles!

I know a friend who has one, has had no issues with it so far, sadly his isn't the v6 diesel it's a 4 cylinder diesel ,but he's more than happy with it
this guy he is actually trying to get to every pithole I was thinking about Yes these can be bought for literally few hundreds unfortunately 2.0PD TDI was not one of the finest diesel engines out there compared to indestructible ASV/AHF or later PD engines.
Always been fond of it, despite the age feels far higher quality than some much newer Audis I’ve been in
The interior is in crazy shape for 18yo audi 😱😱😱i love it
Great video once again.
I saw an A6 estate in a car park only yesterday, and it looked great. Nice, big and useful.
Except this needs some serious looking at, NOW!
And it won't pass an mot with the engine light on.

What a beautiful looking car
Honestly I really like it, I’d buy that as a winter car then next year get the bits done. ✔️
Quattro luckily never had the multitronic, they all run with the ZF 6 speed converter
Unmarked paintwork has never missed a beat for £2,500
It's not a Multichronic on the A6 Quattro but a proper ZF automatic.
It is a tiptronic gearbox in the quattro, only FWD models came with Multitronic
Hoping to get a couple more years out of mine before either the gearbox or timing chain goes
Great content as usual !
Try some Redex injector cleaner and giving it a motorway run every few months, it helped reduce it on my 07 3.0tdi.
I'm sure Matt you've got quite a few friends who like to have a particular car for tip runs. Interesting circle of friends.
Good work done on a car not ready for the scrap heap. Your mate will get many years tip and dog runs out of this car without ruining his daily driver. Keep it up! Well done.
Lovely big motor, you did okay and so did your pal who bought it, nice one Matt

Something about this era of a6 !
filter change and a can of red x and a blast down the motorway to see if it clears out
I recently purchased a 2006 Audi Q7 with the 3.0 TDI.
Great motors, mine’s the same age.. currently sat on 262,000 miles. Still has plenty of grunt and a great motorway cruiser.
Nice one Matt on that Audi not alot of profit but the car went to the right person at a very generous price
