useful video - came across this while watching Tomasz' videos on the rage 5s (I purchased one BEFORE I watched the reviews!) & yes his videos are great. Appreciate some of the things you have covered as well though - the table saw sled rails but the router table blocks are bang on & Im definitely going to get those. I bought a tooltronix bench mounted one at the moment & it is absolutely awful - it has grooves on the top surface, which causes material to get jarred sometimes. Its so bad its going to the tip as soon as Ive built a router table top using these table blocks. Keep pimping the Rage - looking forward to future videos!
Thanks, Grumpa! You've given me the inspiration to spend an idle (i.e. wet) Sunday stripping down, cleaning, fettling and rebuilding my Rage 5. Slot runners and big stop switch ordered. Haven't been able to find a zero-clearance plate yet...
I couldn't believe the amount of gunge in mine - it was severely limiting the movement of the blade assembly and had been compressed over the years. Took a lot of scraping out, but all good now!
Adding the 3D printed upgrade bits and a *soft start module ( *See Casual DIY channel) really adds to this good value saw.. As for the tired fence you could just order a replacement.
Hi Jack. I believe the original rage 5s had the 1800watt and there is a newer model with less accessories around the fence? Not sure. If yo saw my last video, health issues have kept me out of the garage past few weeks , but I have upgraded! 😱
Agree the saw is best bang for buck. Had mine for a few years now and only recently bought a third party mitre gauge (see the Hooked on Wood channel). Also, I’ve used Bosch full curf blades and have had no problems. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
Great video 👍 and thank you for the mention and kind words😁👍

There is a nut to adjust how tight the fence clamps!
They come 1800 and 1500 watt, do you know if there's a difference in them by much?
