I know my results aren't the best but I just got back to sim racing and nearly never drove on this track, I went from 1:29.958 to 1:25, thanks for the tuto!
Great guide but those lap time references are quite optimistic. Add 1s to all those tmes. Anyone running 1:20s here should be driving for an Esports team.
I've been following your guides on a bunch of tracks... my first session on Laguna Seca I did a 1:25.7 w/ 40L of fuel. This is the first time I've watched a guide and actually hit close to a "first time target" on any circuit for my first laps out. Thanks for helping a fella get better!
"AM [1:25.00] represents a good time set when you're first learning the circuit, PRO-AM [1:22.50] is a good place to start if you want to race online --" After setting a lap time of 1:26.25 (hotlap, aggressive preset for McLaren 720S GT3 2019) in my first ACC session at Laguna Seca, it seems the recommended prowess for online racing far exceeds my current capabilities. Hopefully, one day I'll reach the race pace required for online racing.
Thanks Max, I appreciate that! Of course these times are made up and based on using a wheel and the PC version that I'm more familiar with, so just glad if it can help you improve your times regardless! Have a nice day :)
1st day on 1st lap valid 1:28 720s i learned how to gsin a while second just in the first two turns i ruin the lap on the hill thx for showing how to do it will try again. On controller xbox
Great guide. I love how you show each turns from multiple angles. But all four wheels are clearly outside of the track limits in serveral corners. How can this be a valid lap?
Thanks! With track limits I always push the boundaries, but every lap in this track guide series is a valid lap. Sometimes ACC allows you to push a little more than you might expect, a very good example being Zolder! Always worth pushing the limits in practice and seeing where the limits are for yourself. Best of luck with your racing! 😊
You guys REALLY need to have the controls HUD box when doing these guides. Seems so strange that you put in so much effort, but miss such an obvious thing.
Three years later and I just realized you misnamed the turn numbers. The Andretti Hairpin is turn 2, the downhill kink is turn 1. It doesn't really feel like it, but it is. Hearing you call turn 5&6 "4&5" was really irking me. Nonetheless, it is still a good guide and has helped me shave some time off my PR.
I recommend getting involved in our discord server, get the ACC role on your account and post a video of the lap in there. I will happily review it and give pointers if you fancy? - Rwaggy
I’ve been at 1:30 as well we’ll see what I can get to after watching this guide! I think I’ve been breaking to late and push to hard through the corners
I like that you have listed Pro, Pro-AM and AM times as reference. May I ask where these lap times are published? Thanks.

That’s amazing! Great effort 🎉

Man, ever since I've done my first laps on this track I fell in love with it. The flow, the cambers, and the risk-reward relation are just amazing.
Why are these videos not more popular? They’re so well made. Thank you man!
Appreciate it!

This is also with the McLaren 720s... which I've since learned is the worst car on this circuit, whoops! Guess I need to learn more cars ;)
Awesome to hear, well done Ben!

good time? i can't even crack 1:26... a 1:20 feels impossible
These guides are really great. I try to learn the tracks on my own and then use the guides to see where to improve. Very helpful, many thanks! 🙏
You are very welcome, glad you find them useful!
Another great guide! Can't wait to practice!
Glad you are enjoying them! We will have every circuit covered over the coming weeks 😊
Not enough likes for this quality guide. Thank you sir. Although I'm on XBox so you AM/ProAm/Pro times are alien to me hahaha

I did a 1:27 yesterday. With this vid I das some handy stuff. TY!
Great to hear it!
Great video and explanation of how to achieve a good lap around this great circuit. Now I just need to put it into practice!!
You can do it!
Love these track guides they are my go to! Can you update the target times for the 1.9 release?
Great content but I have one request. Could you turn on your hud so we can see how you manage the pedals?
Thanks for the feedback Ralph, we will do in future 😊
please add hud n imputs tho maybe!., tho imho still the best track guide's on youtube!
Definitely taking that feedback onboard, we will be sure to include that next time round. Really appreciate your words! 😊

I get so excited being a whole second up that i mess up and can’t finish the lap 😂😂

awesome except ,,brake at the 1 board heading into the corckscrew,, that is straight up suicide
You say brake at the 1 board in to the corkscrew but you brake at the two board?
Apologies, I meant to say first board! Definetely brake before the 1 board😂
@@TraxionGG yeah, braking at the one board most definitely does not work 😂😂😂
@@TraxionGG thanks for clarifying 😂 I had to look at the comments to make sure I wasn't going crazy lol
And here I was thinking I know the McLaren's brakes aren't great but damn thats a short distance to stop within haha
@@kevchallis2371 so all of us actually went bang into the wall after this video lol

These were recorded some time ago and we've ensured going forwards that any new guide will have the HUD showing.

i. sadly. am still hitting 1:30 on a good lap. really wondering what I am doing wrong here. maybe i am braking too much.
