Window view from TAM Bolivia's 727-224/Adv registered as FAB-111 while operating service F850 from Cochabamba's Jorge Wilsterman Airport (CMB) to Santa Cruz El Trompillo Airport (SRZ). The flight took place on October 26th, 2012 and originated from La Paz El Alto Internacional Airport (LPB). The footage was recorded from seat 26F. Active runway for departure at Jorge Wilsterman Airport was Rwy 14 and arrival was on El Trompillo's Rwy 33 with a slight crosswind component. At the end of the video you can see FAB-111 departing for another leg, strangely nobody cared us hanging around on the ramp. - Авто та транспорт
Those JT8Ds have the most beautiful and real jet sound. I remember 727s were all over the place. Such a beautiful bird. Thanks for sharing!
Love the 727! T-tail, high lift wing, 3 big ol' JT8D engines going full-blast is awesome. Thanks for the video my friend, good stuff!
Love the sound of these engines!
beautiful video, thanks for sharing
This is great. Que buen tiempo.
Great sound! Pratt and Whitney JT8D engines.
Fantastic video of the 727
Best airplane ever! Great video.
Cochabamba muy linda Ciudad de Bolivia.
Wondered if it was ever leaving the ground. Those flaps are massive!
Perfect! Thank you!
thank you
Looks like flaps were set at 10 degrees at takeoff also...
Awfully long take off roll, looked that 727 was never going to be able to leave the ground and was going to run out of runway.
I noticed the flaps were moving about alot during the takeoff roll. Is that ok? Wonderful aircraft but seems to struggle in the air a bit in comparison to today's tech.
Yes, normal movement due to the rather complex triple-slotted flap mechanism. Today's flaps are usually single- or double-slotted, and hence are a little more stable.
Nice video. Subscribed
Climb rate is so low, reminding me of altitude there
Choi: A 75 or 319 would practically climb straight out of there by comparison.
Wow, Very high Take-off and Landings speed. For the Takeoff he used 2/3 of the full runway. I saw the Landing marks at the other end of the runway so there was not much left. Is the landing speed just super fast or because it is a not so big aircraft so everything looks faster tham when you land in a very long 777-300. There it looks like you fly very slow.
Cochabamba is at 2558 meters above sea level, so the air is thinner and thus a longer takeoff run is needed to get airborne.
Wouldnt the FAB registration be from the Bolivian Air Force?
hi, years later answer but yes FAB is Air Force registration and this plane has it becasue TAM airlines is administrated (or better say WAS) but the Bolivian Air Force back then hence that is why this plane landed in SLET (El Trompillo airport) which is located in the middle of the city and operated mostly by the FAB, than landing in the commercial and Internation airport Viru Viru SLVR
I love that reg FAB-111, just shame it's not on BAC 111.
Waouw. I will go in Bolivia this month and I wish to fly their 727 and F-27. Is the 727 always flying between Cochabamba and Santa Cruz or is it changing every day? I will be staying at Santa Cruz.
Régis Sibille What type of aircraft did you end up flying on?
yeah tell us about your adventure,. sadly is no longer possible to fly on either 727 or F27 nowadays
Kkkk pensei que fosse a TAM do Brasil, mas é a TAM da Bolívia! Kkkkk
Eu também estranhei
grait songs
Think my voice kinda screwed this video after takeoff XD
👍😎👍🇧🇴
Loud.
El Alto International Airport no longer is named "John F. Kennedy" for a long time ago.
You are right, thanks. I will change the text accordingly.
tupac katari? las pelotas
haha nobody cared that you were hanging around because SLET is like that.. you can just enter the runway and go around on your bike and nobody will care
thank you
