  • In this video I tell you what happened after I signed my first smma client along with all the mistakes I made during service delivery of our first client. After almost 2 months of signing my first client, here are the 3 mistakes you should avoid specially if you are a beginner agency owner doing lead gen for local businesses and you have a guarantee in your offer. These are things I wish I knew before we signed our client.

Actual practical beginner advice for issues you’re guaranteed to run into. Most of the “experts” aren’t even saying this. Keep it up man. I started around the same time as you and its scary how almost identical our experiences are based on watching your last couple vids.

I'm thinking about taking on a client on for free just to get some experience with the service delivery. The outreach doesn't feel that scary anymore, but the idea of jumping into local business advertisement without any experience scare the shit out of me. + I can actually get some testimonials before I start reaching out to paying clients.

Great work Juan brother! An idea for you and your brother to consider, incorporate a consultancy aspect into your offer and service delivery.
Be clear in your onboarding what defines an appointment but throughout the month, track your clients appointment to sale conversion rates identify the pain points and reasons as to why the customer is going. You can leverage this additional aspect into your offer and charge more of a retainer. Just an idea brother, wishing you the best!

Hell yeah, it counts toward the 10 appointments.
Matter of fact, there's even a difference betweren booked appointment and showed appointments.
So these certainly count, you can't control how good they are at sales.
If someone phyisically drives to a location, they have high intent.
That's on biz owner if they didn't convert.
The offer wasn't 10 conversions or sales.
It was 10 appointments, which you should clarify, 10 showed appointments.

Hey Juan really love your content, incredibly insightful for those in the early stages in their SMMA journey! I have some quick Qs:
    1) How do you change # of booking guaranteed depending on the client's ad budget? (or do you have like a minimum ad spend ?)
    2) What is the process from the lead gen form being filled out to taking deposits?
    3) Did you find your booking rate fell noticeably after implementing deposits? (I assume it's easier to convince people for free appointments as opposed to deposits)
Thank you so much, wish you all the best and I'm now subscribed along your journey :)

It is extremely important to be open and transparent with the customer. In addition, the procedure should be explained and the expected result clearly defined and written down.
All daring statements, which can be misunderstood even in the smallest way, should always be defined and explained in writing!
I have already learned that too ;)
But also your problem can be solved! Work out a "training course" where you teach the customer how to successfully close the appointments and increase his closing rate. You can then sell this again for an extra charge if there are problems in this regard.

    • @goodxaimer3061

If you are only getting paid when there is a conversion to paying customers you should get loads more money than just lead generation. I would cancel the deal with the customer as you should be getting paid per lead not on conversion. Usually, 1 in 4 convert to paid customers and I would guess the client knows that and is just being tight.
