Parris Island...We Make Marines

- The OBHS MCJROTC Cadets have completed their 3 day Leadership Camp at MCRD Parris Island and are headed home. We want to congratulate each one that participated in this event and challenged themselves to go outside their comfort zone. We feel that each cadet learned something while at Parris Island...and will leave a little of themselves on the depot. Till next time!
For everyone that has a negative comment. Keep it to yourself. I applaud these kids. They are doing things that some cannot and will not do. They may not join my beloved Corps and some may. But if you are a Marine on here you were taught better. These kids are our future. Let's encourage them instead of poking fun at them and ridiculing them. Semper Fi
William Parker ,., well said 😎
Oorah!
William parker, i agree.. i am a college professor and i wish i could discipline my students the way they are
OOOOFUCKINGRAAAAHHHH that's how its said and done ladies and gentlemen.
He doesnt understand the humor
Starting in 1967, I served 21 years in the Marine Corps with 3 years in combat. Vietnam was a hard year. God I love the Marines. The greatest honor in my live was leading Marines.
I'd do it all again if I could.
Semper Fi brothers.
BMF6889 thank you for your service and Semper Fi, thanks for watching.
Thank you for your sevice Sr! God bless you!
Thank you for your service Marine! Oorah! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
It was harder for me. I profusely disagree your compassion. Do we really want weaklings to be our Marines? Come on man.
These kids deserve major credit for even putting the time and effort to wanna do this..
Lt.Dal94 TexasCommand Some of these students have been on this trip more than once. We only choose a select number of cadets, they have to be able to handle the little bit of stress that’s put upon them during this trip. Glad you enjoyed it.
@@clevercompanyjrotc4125
Y'all have my respect!! Outstanding bunch Sir..Looking forward to following your channel..
+Lt.Dal94 TexasCommand thank you.
Lt.Dal94 TexasCommand THANK YOU, I HATED EVERY SECOND OF IT.
@@aaliyahjane which one was you??
I was so ashamed until I realized they were just JROTC whewww
same
yes i was like these recruits are so unsat. look like they were talking in the messhall. feet not at a 45. then at the end he said these cadets. i then let out a sigh of relief.
I was wondering too cuz I was thinking are they receiving battalion or TAD or something maybe a group that being processed out but it definitely don’t look like they’re going through training
Yea was wondering how some people made it even though they’re likely over their max weight
Yeah I was like some of them mfs are huge and are half ass doing PT!! 😂💀
I wish I could do it again, this was a great group of cadets, and an amazing staff.
Can I just say that this Drill instructor has a beautiful voice and some real talent went he is leading the kinds from place to place? He is singing out loud it’s really good. Proper respect to him. That kind of singing would literally get me mentally ready for the next thing ahead.
Drill instructor: shurjsbzfgeizkzbxgdnzby do you understand?
Me: NO SIR!
+Chef Beatz that’s about the sum of it
This video was a pleasure to watch. The entire platoon was happy to be there. You could easily see they put work into their appearance. When this much respect is extended to leaders, that same leadership had better be on their "A game" to return the courtesies extended.
Bring back lots of memories of boot camp from when I thought it in the 60's
Little did they know hotel company just down the road was cleaning the house with the scuzz brush
Sgt Lyall will teach you to scuz. 2041 knows
Leonardo Nardin wassup Nardin it’s Marcus LAMOO i said the same shit
Joseph Manning Sgt Lyall was my heavy for plt 2004 he’s a senior and a staff sergeant now trust me shit gets stupid
I was Echo company but we had 2 pickups from hotel..yo the stories
I joined my high schools MCJROTC group with long hair, an earring, ripped jeans and a metal music group T-shirt. “This place is a joke, man. I can do everything you put me through.” Boy was I wrong! I was put through a local obstacle course. My hair got in my way, my jeans fell off, my earring got ripped out of my ear by my shirt. After a couple of weeks of verbal instructions and physical “guidance” from my other cadets, I fell into place and became part of our rifle team and drill team. If not for the guidance of my instructors Msgt Vicory and LtCol Bracey, I would have probably be under the ground with either a bullet in me or from an OD. Thank you U.S. Marines for injecting those fine, brave “jarheads” into my life. Semper fi and God bless
Papa down the street from the chow hall getting SLAYED, I remember wishing I was only there for 3 days like them
06:00 so this is a push up now?
Beerrunner81 that’s how push ups have always been you must not work out because people who work out new that
@@thebravedestroyer2262 Belly to the ground then up all the way. This ain't it snowflake.
@@beerrunner8153 Ok Boomer
Beerrunner81 I’ve never seen belly to the ground. It’s always been 90 degree angle for me.

Haha that was my chow hall back in boot I was HOTEL COMPANY oh man the memories I have from there I will never forget
Antonio Chiaramonte yeah the feel of Parris island never dies

Rah man, i’m Hotel Co , graduated Oct 4
Admirable dedication and discipline. I envy them
MCRD San Diego, October 1965, platoon 1020 guide, Honor Platoon. Lived in Quonset huts with fuel oil heaters. This looks like Disney World. Discharged 6 years later as Engineer Equipment Chief-E-5. The Corps has changed. Semper FI !!
James Fischer thank you for your service
this popped up on my timeline ♥️ still can’t wait to go back for the real thing.
Wowww these kids are the most snappy cadets I have ever seen.
Msgt Thompson, my senior drill instructor platoon 2002 Gysgt at the time
phillyrican04 yes it’s me. I’m a MCJROTC Instructor now...great to hear from a former recruit. Hope you like the video. We visit Parris Island once every two years to provide the cadets a first hand feel of the island.
Man I would've BEEN inside that pool...
Madisøn Marshall Mathers .. no you would not have, trust me.
@@aaliyahjane Why not
Madisøn Marshall Mathers They swim with their BOOTS on
@@aaliyahjane oh nO
Theyre staying in my barracks. Graduated from Horn Lake and went to india company plt. 3097. rah
I was confused when he said "last cadet". They are Juniors. Got it
Oh my gosh, this reminds me of last year when my schools NJROTC went to Parris island. we ate at the exact chow hall they have in the beginning.
Exciting to do your job's dear friend just jokes about that 😜 how 💪 are you my dear ❤️ too much dear 😍 respect for the world freestyle sir yes 😎 sir
Everything feels calm for a day on Paris island and it feels good, keep howling comrades 🦊 🐺
Thanks Top. Semper Fi!!
I love your videos.
Im thinking about joining the Marines and I want to be more than prepared
Glad you like them. Go for the challenge.
Thank you for this video Semper Fidelis
I think it’s time to change the training protocol! Technology has evolve and so, has everything else! Tradition is great but, I feel there are new ways of training we can explore!
Dwain Floyd yes some adjustments can be made.
Nah it’s making them softer unless you talking about being more strict
One thing I tell poolees before boot camp is “scream fast, move loud, think later”
I was there in March watching my nephew graduated from the Marines 3010 Platoon I am so proud of him it was a very nice ceremony
+maniac MFWIC yes the Marines really know how to kick off a ceremony well.
3010 graduated on feb. 22
I graduated from 3013, same day, same company.
+Hunter my son graduates tomorrow. Same company as me back in 1991
Sgt benton I remember that voice from anywhere
Conrad Matrix he’s got some good cadences
Lol
Took me 8 minutes to realize these were JRs
I only watch these kinds of videos bc I’m gonna join the marines
Destanie Ellis best of luck to you.
Clever Company JROTC thx 🙏🏻
Destanie Ellis I watch them to get myself motivated. It’s a little too late for me to join.
Marie Katherine oh well that’s what I do sometimes too 😂
That’s my drill instructor
00 Trunks lol what’s the chances. Small corps
Proud parents of a marine he now is E1
Latonya Soloman awesome
@@clevercompanyjrotc4125 thank you he made it one thing he was worried about was the swimming quads he succeeded successfully
Even me THAT one is my drill master in 1914.18
Oh the memories.
My brother is on his 10 days of liberty off base
Aldrin Karpaiya my son graduates in December
What day
I think that was my DI in Fox.
Pineapple Shake he appears to be a busy guy
Oof, Echo Company Plt 2089 Barracks, out in the middle of the range
Bang...Bang
I will say what many are thinking, and yes these are kids, in ROTC
Now MCRD is coed.
This is a preview of how the Corp looks today, it was week then as it is now. Ask yourself what is this purpose, in battle many of our best men have sacrifed there lives, it takes a strong man to be top Marine, it is our Honor to protect this nation, it is not the woman who our enemies look up to, we have just weekend our fear factor as men.
Hell I guess technology is the future. Terminator knocking
I watched a young man loose his voice for over a month because he could no say iisir correctly. True sacrifice
Amazing for just 3 days .....
06.22 Good morning dear friend I am like you guys ❤️💪 Can do for the best freedom Country dear
You make sailors into Army soldiers!
+Aztec Warrior lol
Ay aY siR... reminds me when I was in bootcamp... now I'm in a holding platoon at soi...
My brother graduated march 29th of 2019
+Bryson Vaughn awesome, so where’s he at now.
@@clevercompanyjrotc4125 Lejune
Bryson Vaughn Been there many times, just never actually been stationed there but know the area...hope he likes it.
How come they are not "asshole to belly-button" when just standing there? I think my friend Terry Philbrick enjoyed that command better than any of the others. If you know what I mean. (Plt. 3101 November 10, 1966)
LMFAO thats Sergeant Benton. He was the senior drill instructor for platoon 2081 during my cycle, Fox Company from September 1st - November 25th 2020. I was platoon 2082, those poor kids in 2081 got fucked up by him more than anybody else. He was the kind of senior DI who missed being a green belt DI. He's the lead series chief now for Fox company. Those poor kids who are on the island right now are prolly getting fucked up by him at series PT lmao
ah the memories, that’s my chow hall, mike company 3012
I wish they showed you how it really works. This is stepped down 90 degrees . Show first phase recruits that's what is really like
No quater deck? No sandpit?
DNCipher unfortunately not. They’re just kids lol
Man as a Marine if I ever did push ups like that.....it would be a bad day
Damn right. Army don’t mess around either. It would be fail fail fail. Ok get up go to the back of the line and figure out what you are doing wrong...
When u had 3 weeks of forming then 12 weeks of boot camp back then u had CCP, Conditioning Plf. there is were u went if u failed your PT test.and u also had motivation Plt u went there if your DI felt u were not putting out 100% I never went to any of them but I know of recurites that have
Marshall Cecconello. USMC 64 -- 68. Hello Paisano from Siracusa Sicilia. What year did you go through. Semper Fi.
They don’t go in the pool? I’d be really disappointed! I’d want to be trying the activities, the water challenges in particular!
❤🇺🇸🙏🏻
I liked the combat boots 🥾 better
I was in hotel company lol. I’ve seen these kids before
+Utra Ninja its a small world
I was in Hotel Company too lol
What plt or graduation date
Jordy Tellez 2078 October 4th 2019
Utra Ninja nice I picked up the cycle after you and who was your senior
Regnar come now freestyle sir yes 😎 sir
I was a bit worried then I read the channel name 😅
drill better then most recruits
My fiance did 8yrs in the marine he was in Paris Island
so with the JROTC is there no weight requirement?
+Shenique hines unfortunately not. We can’t set that type of requirement on students. The class is an elective credit. It’s voluntary.
Clever Company JROTC When the obese kids get a taste, who knows? It may inspire them to get fit. The discipline alone can make a big difference to someone who’s used to living by no standards.
Marching like 2nd phase recruits my ass
He said last cadet. 🤷🏻♂️
They're a bunch of jrotc kids
+Julio Valladares yes
@@clevercompanyjrotc4125 🤦♂️
Julio Valladares oh ok. 👍🏼
MEMORIES SEMPER FI
The army is hell enough. The marines is worse than hell. You can have the marines and the army. Go air force or navy . work smarter, not harder.
ShaaaaaaaaaaaaDahp! Boot!
Jrotc, Pfff... those made to play believe!
+Ethan Clarke they had a great time as well
5:57 - 6:10 smh tsk tsk tsk ... facepalm.
+Ethan Clarke gotta be hard work
Pushups really???? Some were barely bending elbows. Butts in the air. Unacceptable!!!!!!! FIX IT!!!!!!
Lame
Was für ein Blödsinn.
These are definitely jrotc cadets. Males and females don't train together. That would be a disaster.
