I remember youtube recommended me this song, probably soon after it was released and I was obsessed with it, I still have it in my playlist. I didn't know the word kpop back then. I checked a couple of other TVXQ songs, but they didn't catch my attention as much as mirotic did, so I didn't get into kpop at that time. but nevertheless mirotic will forever have a special place in my heart. it is pretty funny how legendary mirotic is in the kpop world. I don't know if it is true, but I have heard it is the most covered kpop song ever. and the reason it is funny is because the song author sold it not only to the east but also to the west - there is a very similar sounding song of a German singer, but that song flopped so bad. like non of Germans I know has ever heard it lol.

The song's name in Korean is 주문Which means spell. I believe Jaejoong made up the name mirotic. Miro is a maze in Korean 미로, and added tic to make it an English word.
I remember TVXQ was so huge and the fandom Cassiopeia really crazy. I think they're the group who suffer the most from the Sasaeng. It's really a waste they're disbanded.
TVXQ are not disbanded, they're gonna celebrate their 21st anniversary this December! Although I'm a Cassiopeia that joined after the breach in 2010 so I've always known them as 2 members I still love all their ot5 songs. But just because they're not the same lineup doesn't mean they disbanded, they still have the same name and their music is still amazing!

You are not wrong about the sound quality. (Commenting on this way late of course) This song was released in 2008. At that point UA-cam had only been a public platform for like 2 years. They didn't/couldn't support the kinds of bit rates etc that we take for granted now. And UA-cam was not giving royalties regularly or protecting copyright much back then, it's really hit or miss with music videos of the era. (Vevo agreement didn't come in until 2009)
A good song is always a good song. I love every Kpop cover of this song, no matter who (though the best in my opinion includes, Yoo Taeyang, Moonbin, Hyunjin, WOODZ, Juyeon).
