Shindong is the bigger guy, but as SJ themselves say if the avengers have Hulk, we have Shindong! He's a big part of SJ (no pun intended), he's a choreographer, dancer, concert director, MV and VCR director, he's also an MC and has a lovely voice! He got in SJ because he wanted to work on TV and that was the original plan, but SJ became hugh, the fans love them so much that after almost 20 years he's still part of the group while also working regularly on TV! he has his own production company as well! I'm surprised that young kids are listening to the K Pop of my generation. The members are 36-41 now, which is my age. Nice to still see Super Junior appreciation. First of all, how the group was made: they're supposed to be a 12 member project group called super junior 05 meant to graduate after a year and go on different paths - singers, actors, comedians, mcs. They are the first large boygroup in kpop consisting of leeteuk, heechul, hangeng, yesung, kangin, shindong, sungmin, eunhyuk, siwon, donghae, ryeowook, kibum. 2. But they were really popular, that's why after 6 months, SM announced they're going to be a permanent group (no more graduating) with the addition of kyuhyun as the 13th member. 3. Fans didn't like that either, adding new members. So they stopped that, too. 4. The story of Shindong: He got into SM with his dancing skills. The SM CEO that time wanted him to become a comedian. However, after a few days, that CEO was replaced. 😂 He was then added as a Super Junior member. 5. You're right, that was the Singles Inferno MC, kyuhyun. A lot of them are staples of korean variety shows. 6. Super Junior year of birth ranges from 1983-1988. They have 40 year olds now. I just saw them this weekend in a concert and they still look hot. 😍 They look "average" on screen but they are 10x better looking in person. 7. One thing about Super Junior is their superior vocals. If you listen to their songs that were not auto tune heavy, you'll realize that they have one of the best vocals out there. Their harmonies are 🤯. Even their rappers can sing very well! Kyuhyun is considered the best vocalist in kpop with his incredible range and techniques. Ryeowook almost always comes 2nd, he's got perfect pitch. Super Junior KRY, Super Junior D&E, Super Junior LSS: active subunits. Super Junior - T and Super Junior - H: not active anymore. Super Junior - M: they're made to promote in CPOP and have 2 additional members,Zhoumi and Henry, that were not part of the main group. 10. Currently the group have 10 members. 1 inactive member, Sungmin, doesn't peomote with the group anymore. 3 members left the group - Hangeng, Kangin, Kibum. The current members are Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun. However, Heechul started to not promote much with the group since 2017 because they doctor said if he didn't stop dancing, he'll damage his leg and not walk forever. He got into an accident in 2006 that got his leg crushed. The agency didn't give him enough time to rest and heal that's why his legs didn't heal properly. He danced for years after that until the 2017 diagnosis. You'll see him in MVs but you wouldn't see him dancing. Sometimes, he'll not be in the song at all. He also stopped participating in concerts. If I continue, this is going to be endless. I suggest you go into a deep dive. Go from their earliest songs to the latest to understand how they evolved musically and conceptually. The first K-Pop music video I ever saw, I was like, “I want to know what this is called K-Pop,” and I looked it up and this came up. I liked. But I didn't really get into K-Pop until 2020
shindong ended up in the group despite his weight because suju was supposed to be a rotational group, where the members would eventually graduate (leave) and go do other things like solo music, MCing, acting etc etc. shindong, and the rest, were put in the group with this mindset, but then the group was made permanent because the graduation system doesnt work in the korean market (thats a whole other thing) and thus suju ended up with a lineup thats multitalented in literally everything entertainment adjacent. shindong is my fave along heechul because as a bigger person, seeing someone who looks like me succeed despite the RAMPANT fatphobia is cathartic. and hes talented as hell obviously :3 sincerely, an elf of 16,5 years. ❤

The first K-Pop music video I ever saw, I was like, “I want to know what this is called K-Pop,” and I looked it up and this came up. I liked. But I didn't really get into K-Pop until 2020
shindong ended up in the group despite his weight because suju was supposed to be a rotational group, where the members would eventually graduate (leave) and go do other things like solo music, MCing, acting etc etc. shindong, and the rest, were put in the group with this mindset, but then the group was made permanent because the graduation system doesnt work in the korean market (thats a whole other thing) and thus suju ended up with a lineup thats multitalented in literally everything entertainment adjacent. shindong is my fave along heechul because as a bigger person, seeing someone who looks like me succeed despite the RAMPANT fatphobia is cathartic. and hes talented as hell obviously :3

Super Junior ha batallando y recibido mucho odio por su edad ya que para la mayoría de fans ser idol a los 30 en adelante es ridículo, por tener un idol con un peso fuera del estándar coreano, por estar algunos casados, por decir lo que piensan que esta mal etc
Son mas que idols, son MC de programas de televisión y radio, actores de series y teatro, autores, escritores, productores etc
Por eso ELF que es su club de fans que también llevan 18 años de vigencia siempre lo ha apoyado y los apoyaran
