TVXQ is the og O.G. of kpop. Spellbound is 5 stars, the song just keeps on elevating, and it's deservedly 4-minute long too!!! And Mirotic, don't get me started on Mirotic. I'm literally addicted to that song. Tons of smooth b-sides too: Smoky Heart, Love Again, etc etc. The day I discovered TVXQ is one of the most unregrettable days of my existence.
I miss TVXQ so much i got into kpop back in 2014 and they were one of the first groups I fell in love with with they never fail me I need them to make a new album now!! Yunhos solo held it down for me tho it was so good!!
When I first got into Kpop, every idol group was covering Mirotic. It was pretty much a standard for groups to do at year end shows etc they have an amazing legacy.
Moonbyul is a fan of them, she even did a cover of Before U Go.

Before You Go is one of the songs Moonbyul covered in one of their concerts! She is a known TVXQ fan, so she did a whole cover medley of their songs ^^ Also, maybe the more you learn about these guys, you'd see that Moonbyul grew up watching TVXQ since her style of dancing (whenever she dances freestyle) have some U-Know/Yunho (her bias) style in it ^^
the first time I heard before u go I thought 'fifi would love this'. it fully sounds like something my dad would put on in the car when I was younger. tvxq's vocals are actually insane - they're performers, they PERFORM
How nostalgic!! Keep your head down was the first song of theirs I discovered, cruising SM's youtube page after stumbling across a SHINee dance practice on my youtube front page. I have never been a stan, but I appreciate a lot of their music (I even own two albums)!
I highly recommend Yunho U-know solo songs. His album Noir is a masterpiece. His nickname is mister passionate at SM because he has an amazing work ethic and just puts his all into his music

This is my generation. This is the TVXQ generation, the 2nd generation of groups, where we all have fights but we are altogether and solid as fans.
THE LEGENDS. Groups love to cover Mirotic (love EXO's & Monsta X's, but my fav is from B.A.P- they actually have some songs very influenced by TVXQ). TVXQ music is a staple and the vocals are 👌 *It's Yunho time*

I still to this day find it so impressive that Spellbound was a one take music video.
YAAAAY IM SO HAPPY!!! When I saw them on the schedule I got so excited jdbxjdbcjxj. TVXQ (aka gods of the east) currently consist of Yunho and Changmin (don't worry, p much no cassie calls him Max jdbcjd). Originally 5 members (all korean), they were originally supposed to be an acapella group, so every single one of the can SING. Around 2009-2010 there was a whole big lawsuit regarding their treatment etc, to this day a lot of people in the fandom are bitter about it, with a lot of misinfo spreading - it is/was really messy jsbdjdhdh. The other 3 members formed another group - JYJ, but sm basically blocked them from attending music shows and such. Two members - Jaejoong and Junsu, have very good solo + musical careers (Jaejoong being one of the best kpop vocalists of all time imo, alongside Changmin). Since then TVXQ started to function as a duo! Honestly Yunho is probably my favourite male kpop dancer of all time, he has this Sass and air of confidence about him when he performs that just blows people away :D I cannot express how excited I am about you checking them out, kinda knew that Before U Go was gonna blow you away jdbcjdbhdhd.
Some other mvs/tracks that you might like are Truth, The Chance Of Love, Something, and Rising Sun (rising sun is kinda the I Got A Boy of TVXQ) :D

Such a pity their Japanese releases might be taken down, Hot Sauce is an amazing music video. You may not react to it, but check it out, as well as their last Japanese album XV, it's flawless!
I also recommend Love Line, Humanoids, Truth, and of the group as 5, you CAN'T MISS Rising Sun, Triangle, Wrong Number (you'll like it, it's r&b) and specially Balloons, which is a cultural reset. No other boygroup has the guts to promote such a song and concept like Balloons, for general public, I garantee.
Also, YOU NEED TO REACT TO YUNHO'S SOLO "THANK U", no other kpop group has released a masterpiece of this level. His last cb NOIR is a whole package, all songs of the mini have a short, super well produced MV.
JYJ have some r&bish songs, like Backseat. Check that too.

I miss this K-pop era where the music video had a story line and not just colorful or weird. This K-pop era was the bomb. The Idols, variety show and also tje K-Dramas

Changmin has done a few other solo songs, but they’re mostly B-sides and SM Station songs, so it’s not like they were really promoted. “Me, Myself, & I” is from his “Chocolate” album, so I’d recommend that one-it’s super chill and has a super chill video to match. 😎

The other member is Dancing king u-know yunho he’s my bias!!😍💖 And yes tvxq (also know as dbsk = dong bang shin ki) originally debuted as a 5 member group in 2003 u-know yunho, max changmin (the maknae), hero jaejoong (my other bias), xiah junsu and mickey yoochun (btw the first parts of their name were their stage names no one uses them tho to refer to them lol). The 3 members that left due to sm’s mistreatment of them, unfair wages & slave type contract at the time which was a 13yr long contract & the lawsuit was very messy so im not gonna go anymore into it anyway they made their own group in 2010 after leaving sm called JYJ their music is so good too defo recommend checking them out too only if you want to ofc!

Keep your head down is also one of my all time faves it’s one of those songs that just never gets old no matter how many times you listen to it at least for me anyway lol What you said about Rnb SAME!!! Btw defo recommend checking out tvxq’s b-sides once you’ve seen all their titles their b-sides are so good they do not disappoint!!!
Wow TVXQ! Glad you're reacting to them! Mirotic was my first ever K-pop song before I even knew what K-pop was back when I was 8 so this is really nostalgic! The 3 members that left went on to make a group of their own, JYJ. I don't really know what happened but it was something to do with SM's treatment of the members and the contract so they ended up filing a lawsuit (I think) similarly to Luhan and Tao. I didn't follow JYJ when they left but they have a pretty big fanbase too. Changmin and Yunho are seniors to most of the SM groups and I know a lot of the EXO members are good friends with them! TVXQ, along with Rain and BigBang are the sole reasons that brought me into Kpop period. For TVXQ, I got into them when they were just splitting up, "Mirotic" was my jam. And then "Put Your Head Down" or another title "Why" slayed me totally. Those outfits I thought were weird and off the wall, but the music got my attention big time. I started watching so many different live stages of "Why", and said "kpop is so different, I need to watch more!" Rain was the disco groove sex symbol with "It's Raining", and I fell in love with TVXQ "Spellbound", what an absolute gem! Then of course Exo came along and stole my heart. But yeah, Yunho or Uknow, who is Max's partner when they became two, he has a banger of a solo mv called "Drop" which I absolutely love. He's such a boss, or king in the mv. The narrator at the beginning says "This is King's speech"...then it takes on a revolutionary feel with Yunho being a leader type. A hidden gem of an mv, not many know of it, but I think I'm going to watch it right now, it's been awhile.💙🌺

You don't even know how many Korean babies were made while Before U Go was playing. Because that's some 90s baby making sounds right there. Can you imagine if a newer group came out with this now, same dance and vocals? It would blow all the others out the water. I believe DBSK is like a sub unit. That's why less members.
Before You Go is a true masterpiece and I knewww it'd be your favorite!! I highly recommend you to watch / listen to 'Something' and also some of their Japanese songs especially 'Love in the ice' Tokyo Dome Live & Doushite Live in Japan. Their live vocals is top-notch

'Rising Sun' is probably up there with 'Mirotic' in how iconic it is and how it blew up their popularity back in the day.

YES. I’m waiting for TVXQ to drop another Korean track as a group so people will rediscover them. The industry moves so fast that people forget you exist if you haven’t dropped a track in 6 months.
Their Japanese stuff has been fantastic lately though, so I wish the Japanese labels weren’t so aggressive about stomping on reactions. I don’t think they realize it’s free advertising, especially in foreign markets. 😭

Fifi~~ I was so waiting for this and your reaction as always was amazing! I knew you'd love Before you Go, it was composed by the same composer that wrote Exo's What is Love and Tell me What is Love, that is why it sounds so EXO ( and many other songs). I remember I attended to SMTown concert back in 2012 and I honestly didn't know much about TVXQ nor their songs at that time, and I remember that their section of the concert was absolutely amazing, on Keep Your Head Down everyone was doing the head movement of the dancers absolutely epic. The three members that left had issues with their contract and well, you know how that goes, but they were not Chinese, all of them are Korean and formed a group together named JYJ. And yes TVXQ is known because ALL of them knew how to dance and sing ( like SHINee, many refer to SHINee as the second TVXQ). Hope you react again! Max an Yunho are absolutely amazing and actually they have more years being only two members than the years with the original line up 😅. Have nice day FiFi♡

Also, the studio version of Before U Go has more adlibs. The MV you reacted to was the performance version that omits some of Changmin’s adlibs because there are some that might be too hard to sing with a choreography. I highly recommend you check out the studio version, you’ll love it!

You should check out "Chance of Love", "Something", and "Wrong Number" with the MVs. Some B-sides you might enjoy are "Heaven's Day", "Destiny", "Good Night", "Honey Funny Bunny", "She", and "Rumor" for something pretty smooth and toward r & b. Hope you enjoy! My recommendations for future TVXQ videos: Something, Chance of love, O -正.反.合, , Rising sun, Love line, The way U are, Truth, and the live performances of Love in the ice, Begin and Bolero (beautiful soulful ballads that should appeal to those who are not into ballads).
