Yes. Nice having a shop to work in. Kinda hard to take it on the road though so I always have to think ahead and decide what to bring with me and leave behind. Very difficult choices :)
I love watching your projects: the creativity applied, the clear and concise descriptions and depictions, the precision work and the high quality of the video production. Very satisfying to watch. The stained wood ledges were a surprise and made for a beautiful and integrated look. Now all we need is for some manufacturers out there to adapt your ideas and put them in their rigs!
He's got A LOT of ideas that the Thor or Whinnie companies should be adopting and making "standard" on their trailers and coaches! His projects just make sense and make the camper more usable! Plus, there's several that are inexpensive too!
What a BRILLIANT solution, Brian; sorry, no breakthrough suggestions coming from me. You, always, do a fantastic job with your "little" projects. The wood "toppers" to the mini-wall really makes it look original to the other wood. Great work! Y'all Be Safe!
Thanks Phil! Glad you liked this project. It was a last minute thing. We're getting ready to hit the road and my wife said "you're going to fix the shower before we go...right?" and I said "Uh...wasn't planning to" :)
Great eye for detail Brian. There are always other ways for solving the problem but I always find your solutions to be simple and aesthetically pleasing to the eye
That would have worked. But there's wiring nearby in the cabinet that I'd be concerned about getting wet. Didn't want to fix one issue and create another :p
What is there to improve on in Master workmanship ??? Another great looking DIY project. You are amazing ! Yes, we love seeing all the changes you make. Your teaching methods are easy to follow. Thank you !
As always, stellar job! It looks great and serves the purpose. The wooden shelves gave the finished look. I am 1 year into my 32 ft Class C total restoration and remodel. 1 year seems like a long time, but I work a full time job and only have 2 days a week to work on the Motorhome. No help. Just me. I'm about 60% done. There was a lot of rot and water damage when I bought it due to it having sat for 2 years with zero maintenance. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us all. It matters! And for everyone taking on a project like mine alone just remember, "Slow Progress is still progress!"
Dry nice! I’m impressed with your skills and ingenuity. I’ll remember the foam for my future repairs. Repairs and upgrades are a constant thing with RVs. 👍
Yes. I like the idea and will probably use this method again in the future. It's pretty strong once all glued together. Next time I'd probably create a large panel and then cut it into the appropriate size with a table saw after glue up.
Beautifully thought out project. If our "not square" shower enclosure in our Arctic Fox fiver ever self destructs, your design is at the top of the list as a fix.
I dont know why I doubted you Brian, your projects always turn out top notch, but when you broke out that foam board and plastic laminate I was thinking to myself, how is he going to make this look good? You proved me wrong for sure and those wood ledges really set if off, nice work!
Tito, I hope the RV manufacture are watching your videos and getting better ideas for future RV's. It looks great and looks better than most RV's have now. Great job and another great video.
Brian Great job as usual. I like the idea of walls being lighter in RV's any weight savings is a plus especially for Conversion projects. As a construction note. I have used a table saw to cut foam board in the past. It allows for clean precise cuts and I have not had issues with the foam board melting. I also have used the table saw to cut FRP sheets, slightly thicker than what you used but again good cuts. Wearing a mast is a necessity.
Your skills and desire to always improve never fail to impress or inspire me! I wish I had your patience. We just go for the practical, not necessarily pretty. We used that same waterproof plastic in our tub/ shower install and after 2 years it is bubbling a little. I think your way of applying adhesive will probably hold up better.
I subscribed to your channel, and I don't even own an RV. I travel in a Minivan. lol You are so good at your demonstrations, and you are so talented at fixing things, that I watch just to learn more about how to construct things I might need in my Minivan. You are a very interesting guy to learn things from. Thanks for the great content.
So glad you subscribed. I really appreciate that feedback. BTW I'm a van lifer at heart and have owned two converted vans in my life (a '86 Dodge van with shag carpet and a 1970 VW Westfalia camper).
3M 74 Foam fast is a great product to adhere the plastic and foam. Works like a laminate glue with very little swelling. Lowe's brand foam doesn't have scoring cuts which occasionally can cause problems. Excellent eye for design and detail.!!
Great idea. I'm usually a pretty resourceful person and am a semi expert DIY'er but I never thought about building something like this. Our shower in our RV is same shape with the same issues. I must try this. Thanks for sharing. Looks fantastic.
I would have done it a lot simpler and a lot faster. And mine would look a lot simpler and a lot faster. The little wooden ledges detail really give it the "finished" look. You make me want to do better work.
Simple and fast works too. If it does the trick. Thanks about wooden ledges. That was a last minute touch. I had originally planned to have a plastic ledge which wouldn't have been as nice.
That is fantastic looking. One possibility for you - you have a lot of space between the medicine cabinet and the shower. I may consider adding a shower "niche" looking towards the medicine cabinet from the shower. Continue using the foam board/plastic building combo that you have done, just add another cubby (possibly with a rimmed metal shelf to provide the base), and you have a nicer place to hold all the shower goodies one needs, and it is outside the normal shower. It would reduce a bit of elbow room, however.
Thanks. My rv bath is gutted waiting for remodel. Sort of got stopped trying to come up with a good wet environment ceiling material. I may have settled on same sheet material you used. However I haven't figured out how to cut to fit and attach to the ceiling yet. I had the classic Rv sliding plastic and metal shower curtain that attaches at top and bottom rail channel. Your ceiling mount sliding rail channel solution looks like my windshield sliding pleated shade rails but those are metal. I think this is a good sliding curtain solution and will use it. For my walls I'm ditching OEM tub/shower base with new shower base from lippert, and the OEM surround. I'm using the pvc wall tile panels from brand Dumawall. 100% waterproof. Look at UA-cam install videos for Dumawall. With your UA-cam rv business you can buy direct and save a bit from Dumawall . Lowes sells a limited selection of Dumawall tiles for more. Also business owner can call Dumawall and get samples of tile and edge trim. Dumawall tiles are not for floors . For the floor am using a very close match to my Dumawall tiles in rigid vinyl floor tiles from lumber liquidator, now call LL Floors? If your foam pony walls do not perform you may think of using the Dumawall tiles glued to foam or each other? to build the pony walls. In the alternative, buy HDPE or other rigid plastic sheet material and cutting it down to fit to build a strong wall. US plastics or other plastic sheet supply firms have multi sizes and sheet thickness. Hope this helps you for future remodel.
Great suggestions. Thanks! I've also been considering Dumawall tiles and would love to ditch the existing shower base and figure out a way to re-plumb the existing drain and p-trap. We'll see. Thanks again.
Wow, that is so elaborate! I cut down some regular plastic shower dams to fit the trailer shower and used silicone adhesive to mount them. I then used velcro to hold the curtain in place while using the shower but soon found out that the self stick velcro doesn't like moisture. I replaced the velcro with "heavy" lead sinkers to hold them in place on top of the pan and that seems to work. I sold my boat so I don't do any ocean fishing anymore.
Nice job! The ceiling track idea is what Roadtrek uses for the aisle shower but I think the track is aluminum instead of plastic. Love the laminated plastic wall to keep weight down while looking nice. Happy new year!
I have to say, when you were describing it, I had serious doubts. Shame on me for doubting your amazing skills. It looks great! My husband wants to get rid of our glass doors as well. Unfortunately, I’m a “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it” kind of gal. I imagine it may mysteriously get broken one day 😉
Nice job. For the curtain rings, check on Amazon for Book Rings. No rollers on them. You can get them in various sizes. Also, if your walls don't work out, look up a product called King Starboard. It's what boat interiors are made of. It can be cut and shaped just like wood with the same blades, drill bits and router bits. Anything made of wood in my RV that needs to get replaced is going to get replaced with King Starboard.
YES! Thanks. That's what I was looking for. Will definitely look for some King Starboard for future projects. I actually ordered something similar from Amazon, but the order fell through, so I built this instead :)
Absolutely amazing. Great job. The only thing I would worry about is a little water getting on the wood and messing it up over time. If you keep it dry it probably wouldn't be an issue. Seriously, great job!!!!
Thanks. It shouldn't get very wet. If it does, I've coated it with a couple layers of polyurethane which should do the trick. If that fails, the wood is easily replaced.
Hi, Brian. Excellent job. You can also add magnets to the curtain and have them attract to the metal (if it is magnetic.) The wood caps are a VERY nice touch. Love your channel. Say HI to Melissa for us.
For those that cannot get a short enough shower curtain for their setup, I have cut one and put it through a sewing machine with no ill effects. It worked great! ymmv.
Amazing! Seriously, this looks fantastic! The only suggestion I have would be to change the curtain to a fabric microfiber one with bottom edge weights. This type is more comfortable to work with when showering, easier to clean, and the bottom weights help keep the curtain in place, even if there isn't anything metal with which they can connect.
Thanks for the suggestion. This curtain does have bottom weights. I've left it to my wife to choose the next curtain. Nice to have decorating options now.
Looks great. A lit better than I would have done. Like another commenter said I probably would have stopped with a shower curtain. Only "improvement" I would consider would be to support each stub wall on the end where you walk in to the vanity (on right) and the other wall (left) incase someone would accidently hit them with their knee. Only thing I could think of as seems the ends are just "hanging" out there. GOOD JOB Keep the vids comming
Looking good. The job looks good and should do what you want and didn't cost a lot of money. I love your ideas. I myself really like doing this kind of work.
Two things: First, I recently put styrofoam in my garage door panels, and discovered that the best way for me was to use my table saw to cut the foam. Straight lines, clean, fast, and safe. Worked great! I felt like a genius for ... days, until I screwed something else up! LOL Second, magnets for managing the bottom of the curtain, maybe? You do great work!
Masterful and beautiful work, as always!! You are amazing. As you asked for suggestions, I’m wondering whether an accidental kick on the lower wall might break or bow out the foam eventually? Custom sized acrylic blocks (and/or extending the wood shelf to flush with the sink and cabinet if desired) should work. You could get the blocks “printed” in solid white (simulating paint) if you don’t want clear.
Thanks! Not worried about the kick so much unless one of us starts doing the Elaine dance in the shower. I have found that the shower base flexes a little because it's plastic. That causes the sealant and adhesive to separate. I'll have to secure it from underneath somehow. Working on it. Thanks for the other ideas.
Thanks for this. It inspires me to do this type of modification to ours. Right now, our shower door is removed, and we use a shower curtain where the door was, but we still have the remaining glass enclosure on the sides. If I do like you did, we will gain a good bit of room in the shower. Thanks again.
Nice job! My only comment is that I would have cut the foam on the table saw. Quick and precise. As far as the project itself, I probably would have opted to replace the glass doo with a plexiglass replacement.
Replacing the glass with a lightweight material was something I considered. You're right about the table saw. Next time I'll make a full size panel then cut it down with the table saw.
I can just imagine Brian walking the aisles for hours at HOME DEPOT saying to himself "hmmmmm, maybe that will work & hmmmmmmm, could that work?" We've all done it.
Some thing I did on my RV I installed a curved shower bar (slight modify to fight) to get a little more space, Then I installed the nickel plated round neomagnets 6 each side along the side using the same holes from the shower door frame. Then i took 1/2 inch galvanized emt and sewed pockets on the shower curtain too slip the emt inside. I did hang the emt on rolling curtain hoops at the top. This made a very good magnetic seal at each end and was strong enough to stay close but easy enough to open and the curtain stays taught enough not to move in and out. Works great But you have a corner, looks good I always get good ideas from you. BTW i brought the Electro volt LI on 100 amp Batteries you recommended Unfortunately Amazon only gave $250 off on one battery. Even splitting the order did not help. Let you know how they do.
Definitely keep me posted on the Electro Volt batteries. I have a big project coming this year and am looking for a good BB alternative. Thanks for the magnetic tips on the curtain.
Honestly, it looks amazing. It’s depressing how your “temporary fix” is way better than any attempt I’d make at a permanent solution!
Haha. Thanks! I figured if I did a decent job with the temporary fix, then the permanent fix can wait a bit longer :)
Good God your temporary fix, looks like something that came out of a factory. Love your diy stuff. And that your RV has a full shop. Pretty cool.
Yes. Nice having a shop to work in. Kinda hard to take it on the road though so I always have to think ahead and decide what to bring with me and leave behind. Very difficult choices :)
Brian's "first try experiment" is many times better than my finished product! It looks fantastic man! The wood accent tops just made it stand out!
Thanks! The purpose of the wood accents are to take your attention away from any other imperfections :)

Thanks for the generous feedback. I'm so glad you're enjoying the mods.
@@andrewk1916 Andrew, we are in complete agreement. Good design doesnt have to cost more, in just requires manufacturers to care about it.
This is and excellent example of experienced craftsmanship. Well done.
Thanks. Still a bit of trial and error involved, but a great learning experience for me. Glad you liked it.
YOU sir, are an amazing craftsman! I am always amazed and impressed with your creativity and workmanship!
YOU are very kind. Glad you liked it!
What a BRILLIANT solution, Brian; sorry, no breakthrough suggestions coming from me. You, always, do a fantastic job with your "little" projects. The wood "toppers" to the mini-wall really makes it look original to the other wood. Great work!
Y'all Be Safe!
Thanks for the vote of confidence :) Have a good one.
Brian - you never disappoint! You humble us other DIYers, but you teach in the process!
Thanks. I was originally going to do a wood wall, but I figured I'd try the foam thing. I'm pretty happy with the outcome too.
I would have called it done after the shower curtains haha.
That would have worked. But there's wiring nearby in the cabinet that I'd be concerned about getting wet. Didn't want to fix one issue and create another :p
Looks like a professional job. Looks like it belongs there to me. Great job
Thanks 👍
Amazing. Can you please do a full RV tour please 🌷
your temporary fix is better then what my rv came with great job
Better than what our RV came with too I think :)
What is there to improve on in Master workmanship ??? Another great looking DIY project. You are amazing ! Yes, we love seeing all the changes you make. Your teaching methods are easy to follow. Thank you !
Thank you very much! I appreciate you following along with my experiments :)
Great job as usual, I'm impressed every time I watch you do/build something.
Thanks! Lots of lost sleep thinking about "how am I going to build that..."
As always, stellar job! It looks great and serves the purpose. The wooden shelves gave the finished look. I definitely get it. I've found that the longer it takes, the better the solution. I'm sure your restoration will be awesome. Good luck!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING? :) Sounds like the wood ledges are serving their purpose.
Wow, I see that as an upgrade, awesome idea and work! I like having elbow room with a curtain over bruises from elbow smacking on door
Agreed. That enclosure always got in the way.
That turned out nice for a temporary fix!
Who knows...might be temporary for a while :)
Tito, I hope the RV manufacture are watching your videos and getting better ideas for future RV's. It looks great and looks better than most RV's have now. Great job and another great video.
Looks fantastic. At first I thought the bottom was going to be too big. With the addition of ledges though it is perfect.
Thanks. The bottom needed to thicker and "wall like" or the ledge would have looked pretty silly.
Brian, you come up with the most clever and attractive ideas. Those wall sections look like they’ve always belonged there. 👍
Thanks! Pretty happy with the final outcome. I'll do some more tweaking to improve it.
As always, your ideas and workmanship are impeccable. Thank you for sharing
Thanks and You're Welcome!
love it works great. just the right size
Super ingenious. You're amazing.
Thanks. I can't take all the credit. Just copying what I've seen other do with little of my own tweaking :)
Impressive. Wood ledges are great!
Thanks! Definitely would have just looked plastic without them.
Thank you so much for showing all the steps. You are helping this novice learn how to work with materials.
You're welcome! I'll do the experimenting so you don't have to :)
That was a great video. Giving me inspiration for our shower that I am in mid process of fixing
Glad it helped. It's been working out great so far. Good luck with yours!
Yeeey!!!! finally..... the shower remodel
Haha. Yes. Finally :)
Brian Great job as usual. I like the idea of walls being lighter in RV's any weight savings is a plus especially for Conversion projects. As a construction note. Man that looks great 👍. You are a pretty talented guy!
Glad you liked it. It was a fun experiment.
This is my first time to see one of your videos. Terrific work! Looks great and very functional!
Thanks. The shower has been working great. Even the boss likes it 👍👷♀️
Your skills and desire to always improve never fail to impress or inspire me! I wish I had your patience. We just go for the practical, not necessarily pretty.
We used that same waterproof plastic in our tub/ shower install and after 2 years it is bubbling a little. I think your way of applying adhesive will probably hold up better.
Thanks Terri. I'll keep an eye on the bubbling. It shouldn't really get wet since it's mostly covered by the curtain. But you never know :)
As with all your other projects, it is outstanding.
Thanks. I appreciate that!
I subscribed to your channel, and I don't even own an RV. I travel in a Minivan. lol You are so good at your demonstrations, and you are so talented at fixing things, that I watch just to learn more about how to construct things I might need in my Minivan. Brilliant work - simple and elegant! Thanks for the tips!
You're very welcome!
Looks GOOD, you always come up with good ideas. 👍👍
Thanks! I appreciate that.
You are "The man".Looks great .
Thanks Buddy!
As a wife, if my husband had done this reno, I would have loved it! Looks beautiful.
Glad to hear. My wife likes it too, but she definitely had her doubts early on :)
Looks great. We are going to be removing and replacing our shower walls with a PVC “marble” boards this winter.
Cool. Good luck with the project!
Wow! Nice job. Very impressed.
Glad you liked it!
Really excellent solution! Love it.
Thanks! 👍
3M 74 Foam fast is a great product to adhere the plastic and foam. Works like a laminate glue with very little swelling. Lowe's brand foam doesn't have scoring cuts which occasionally can cause problems.
Excellent eye for design and detail.!!
Great tip! Thanks. Didn't know the Lowes foam doesn't have scoring cuts.
Great idea. I'm usually a pretty resourceful person and am a semi expert DIY'er but I never thought about building something like this. Our shower in our RV is same shape with the same issues. I must try this. Thanks for sharing. Looks fantastic.
Spend a few hours roaming around Home Depot looking at everyday materials and the ideas will materialize...or not (the risk you take) :)
Will probably use this to replace my basement shower. Super cheap, looks decent enough !
Great job w the foam
Thanks. First try with foam. Will definitely incorporated it into more stuff.
Clever solution.
Thanks!
I plan on adding something similar, but on the other side.

Looks great. Probably better quality than most RVs begin with.
One suggestion. Maybe add small strong magnets to the curtain and side supports.
Magnets are definitely a consideration down the road. I've showered in it though and it doesn't seem to be needed.
very nice , good idea and implementation
Thanks!
Always love your Renos!
Glad you liked this one.
Tito, it looks factory quality , but better!!
Thanks!
Sounds similar to my original temporary solution.
Where did you get the flexible track and what is the description? I need to get one ordered asap!
@jasonblancett3002 Here it is. amzn.to/3prBoAg
Great inspiration for some curtains we need to put on our bunks. Nice work!
I'll definitely be using that track for other stuff as well. It's very inexpensive.
As always a great video with a helpful project that turns out looking truly amazing! Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome! Glad you liked it.
Nice job! The ceiling track idea is what Roadtrek uses for the aisle shower but I think the track is aluminum instead of plastic. Love the laminated plastic wall to keep weight down while looking nice. Happy new year!
Thanks! It would be nice to find an aluminum one. Aftermarket tracks are hard to find. Happy New Year!
Looks great!
Woo hoo. My wife likes it and that's what matters most :)
I had my doubts but Kudos great job.
Haha. Sorry to leave you hangin :)
Just WOW Brian, nice!
Hey, thanks!
I have to say, when you were describing it, I had serious doubts. Shame on me for doubting your amazing skills. It looks great! My husband wants to get rid of our glass doors as well. Unfortunately, I’m a “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it” kind of gal. I imagine it may mysteriously get broken one day 😉
Think about the weight savings (if you're concerned about it). This is great!

Hi, Brian. Excellent job. You can also add magnets to the curtain and have them attract to the metal (if it is magnetic.) The wood caps are a VERY nice touch. Love your channel. Say HI to Melissa for us.
Agreed. Magnets would work great if needed. Glad you liked it and Melissa says Hi.

Keep the vids comming
You're right. Could happen. I'm carrying an extra tube of caulk just in case :)
Looking good. The job looks good and should do what you want and didn't cost a lot of money. I love your ideas. I myself really like doing this kind of work.
You're right. It was pretty inexpensive to boot.
Very nice work. Thanks
You're welcome.
Awesome job, it looks great 🤙😎..
Shaka Bruddah! and Mahalo!
Looks good
You do good work, thanks again. Happy New Years
Same to you. Happy 2021!
Looks great.
Glad you like it!
Looks good I think.
Glad you like it...I think.
Look factory! Very nice 👍
Two things:
First, I recently put styrofoam in my garage door panels, and discovered that the best way for me was to use my table saw to cut the foam. Straight lines, clean, fast, and safe. Worked great! I felt like a genius for ... days, until I screwed something else up! LOL
Second, magnets for managing the bottom of the curtain, maybe?
You do great work!
I agree. Next time I'll probably build a 4x8' wall panel then cut it down with the table saw. Lessons learned.
Tito that looks great!
Thanks!
My mind couldn’t figure out the large ends were for when you in the shop. Outstanding job again! Ok time to tear out entire bathroom and redo😃
Glad the outcome didn't disappoint :)
Nice work. For the curtain use stick on Velcro strips on your shower curtain and the wall. :)
Thanks. Yeah. That's an option too.
Great Job!!! Looks great
Thanks!
looks pretty good especially since you didn’t show many out and check it in place and tweaking as you built it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
Yes. That certainly did happen a couple times :) Happy New Year!
Very clever!
Glad you think so!
Nice work, love the wall construction, it looks very lite.
Thanks. It is super light weight and surprisingly sturdy.
Very nice.
Thank you
Masterful and beautiful work, as always!!
The side pieces would be easy to put back if you don't like it. Mine are still intact too.
I think it looks good. Time to go camping
Yeah we're on our way soon.
Great Job!
Thanks!
I didn't expect anything less you do excellent work it looks good. Happy New Year stay safe
I certainly had doubts, but would have scrapped the whole thing if it turned out like crap :)
Looks awesome!!!
Thanks!
Looks Great !!!!
Thanks!!
I can just imagine Brian walking the aisles for hours at HOME DEPOT saying to himself "hmmmmm, maybe that will work & hmmmmmmm, could that work?" We've all done it.
You know it :)
Excellent. Thanks
Works great
But you have a corner, looks good I always get good ideas from you.
