I've been waiting for this guitar for a year or so. And i got this! Very cool guys!

I think what you have there is just changes that happened when Dean moved over to India. Imo, they're by far better than the Chinese.
i have now 4 deans. 2 china and 2 korea. i had indonesian once. In my experince the indian ones are the worst

i also bought a ML79 (same colour in front (backside and neck is wooden red), but a non FR Version) from Thomann. The Guitar came in a great condition. the nut is perfectly nutched, the string action (neck) was userfriendly adjusted. Ok, after changing the strings to a customized set (011- ...) i had to say hello to the truss rod. ...btw. my ML was build in Korea.
As far as i know the Korean models were the best. How much it costed? I had the chinese model before this one. It was quite good, but had a lot of finish flaws so decided to sand it back.
You may have gotten old stock for the Korean example.
Indonesia world factory and some factory in India Also China but Korean are the older ones that have been discontinued I think.

They have no Ml's now. It was one year ago.

If possible always go to store and try the guitar you want in the store,or I order through store and have shipped to store and I open infront of them if its not what I ordered or it has issues, I give them the opportunity to fix ,if they can't wont or refuse then they can keep it,doesn't seem to matter if its 400 or 4000 all companies have qc issues 😒 🙄 so you might get a dud once in a while but deal with a good dealer and all issues will usually be sorted out deans are nice just step up to the select its a better build 😉 😊 😀 once you get it tuned up you'll love it

This is the new model! Thomas did a good job of sending you this model! The model that's listed on the website is the older Chinese production model until 2021. Now its produced in India that's why its different if you check it on dean's website you will see your guitar!
Dean website says it is made in china.
@@ManMark7 they are dumb as hell too. On the photos of the guitar at the back of the headstock it says Made in India and its made in India. But on the explanations part says China! 🤣
Actually I am in Italy and still been thinking of buying this model. But since I was waiting for someone to make this video with this model and I am dissatisfied by the quality!

i orderd a far beyond driven dean and its really great i still think im gonna upgrade it (tremolo and pickups) but iver all it has a really good quality

@@ManMark7 have an indian explorer DEAN since 6 months and its really better than my old GIO ibanez lolll but its a 5-600$ guitar. but when I bought it, they polished my frets, adjusted my fingerboard, cleaned and moistened the neck, adjusted my tuners and seriously I have nothing mechanical to say about the quality of my DEAN ZX trans brazilian made in India.
What worries me is the colour of the wood behind the cover on the neck , mahogany wood is dark red in colour and is a hard wood , why would thay paint inside the covers? Hiding something?

I would recommend 2 other German stores instead, Musicstore and Kirstein. Faster, better customer service, and better quality control.
Had to sell my ESP 1000 series, all 3 models, base, 7 string and baritone in 2014 and wanted to get back into guitar. Thanks to Thomann, I still haven't received a functioning guitar and I have been on it since August last year. No quality control and infinite waiting times. Bought a 750 bucks Cort KX507... And the quality control sign that comes with a guitar was not signed, the fretboard was completely dry and cracking, and the color on the back was literally falling off... Kirstein also actually adds photos and actual descriptions to B-stocks, So you can actually see what you get

Yea ok. Special writing? If the FR says special on it it’s crappy pot metal. Most likely won’t stay in tune especially if you use the tremolo a lot. If it doesn’t say special it’s a FR 1000 which is legit.
Dude, did they gave you a Far beyond Driven instead of a ML79? Because if you did, you got a better guitar!!

Can anyone tell me the difference between Floyd Rose Original and Special? For me, it's a new world and i want to buy this guitar.
Special is made of cheap zink material. Much less durable and solid than original

Got my dean far beyond driven today and it's made in India also and it's not good! The inlay on the 3rd fret is smashed and the 9th is damaged! And looks like it has a pickup in it that's not for a Floyd rose as the poles do not line up !! I'm sending it back to gear4music who are also useless ! As it took them 2 attempts to send the right guitar..........
While I have been waiting for them to pick it up I decided to take another look at the guitar and well, I have found some very interesting poor qualitys of work! It has filler yes epoxy filler on it with an air bubble in it, on the rear of the guitar where the strap attaches to the body on the lower part of the neck , it also has a human hair in the clear coat! The headstock is made from 8 small pieces of wood! , And there is a green patch of bad wood in the body that's been stained the clear coated .........there are other paint defects too.....small dents painted over and runs.........................
If you can live with all that bad quality then buy one but I couldn't so it's going back!

No. I've got older Korean Dean Cadillac and Evo and a new select Z and they are great, the Z is made in Indonesia world factory and it's perfect on everything And far better than the Korean. I've played the Chinese and India Dean guitars and they aren't bad it's just the Indo factory is far superior. Get the Indonesia model and be happy !

Chinese clown guitar. Save up your money and get a used USA ML. You'll be glad you did. No comparison in fit and finish and quality control.
