I'll be honest, I bought this guitar because I'm a huge fan of Dime, but it's quickly turned into my favorite guitar. The body is comfortable and well balanced, the tone and sustain is amazing, the neck is satin finished and perfect for my hands, tuning is rock solid and the action can get lower than on my Ibanez RG570. In short, it plays better than it has any right to and it just looks so gorgeous. I can really see why Dime loved this body shape so much.

It was stolen in 2017 but I just got it back 😱 waiting for the replacement tone knobs and some packs fr my sponsor ghs strings to come in before I make a video talking about how I got it back. Anyways, wanted to share that. I’ve always loved ML’s and this struck a little chord with me ❤️🖤
My house contractor gave me a dirty guitar with 4 strings. It was 2009 Dean MLX. It has good bones but is missing a guitar jack. I took it to my guitar tech in Chicago. I'm looking forward to the rehabbed Dean MLX.
What a beauty. Thats not the ML standard though thats the select trans brazillia, ML is 6-700£, yours is 8-900 and is a lot better than the ML. Love this. I have a dime from hell and a slime stealth love them both. I want this next.
It would be nice to see somebody do a review of the ML WITHOUT, and I can't stress this enough, without playing Pantera or with Dime like tone settings. Something with some more sludgey or boosted midrange. In the vein of Mastodon or the Melvins. I've just seen so many reviews of the ML and they are almost always having Pantera played on them. the ML has so much more potential than just Pantera riffs and licks. Not hating, I'm just saying the ML is mor than just a Pantera guitar. All the love to Dime, but i feel like this had to be said

Me, I bought one to use in my sludge metal band, and it works fuckin well with a more boosted fuzz tone.
Pantera, specifically Dimebag, made Dean and this guitar famous. The only reason I know about Dean guitars is because my dad played one in his old band and because he and I both love Dime. If you want to watch people play anything other than Pantera with a Dean ML, then you're in the wrong place. Try school of rock, lol.
I've always wanted a dean but I'm a lefty and finding a lefty dean that's not crazy expensive has been rough! Shecter is home for most lefthanded artists

I'm looking into buying my first guitar and this was the one I was wanting as a back up from the Razorback guitar. and well I'm very pleased with the sound of it. it still has a very very heavy sound that I'm looking for. it sounds very relaxing.
I own a custom shop dean from hell .. that one you have there is the only other one I want .. hope you enjoy it man . Looks great 👍 and sounds pretty dam sweet as well

Is the neck on this Dean ML Select thinner than your Dimeslime neck? I really want a Dimebag guitar but I had the chance to play a Dimeslime once and the neck was a little big for me.
Not as heavy as you might think... I haven't weighed mine, but it weighs less than most Les Pauls I've tried and seems to balance better (no neck dive). I'd take the ML over an LP any day.

I just bought the Dimebag Stealth version of this guitar, it'll arrive on Sunday. Can't wait to finally try a Dean Dimebag guitar.

Dean history is Pantera/Dime history. The two cannot be discussed separately.
If you don't like it, buy one and make the video yourself, otherwise, stop telling creators how to create.
Straighten the neck a little helps with those dime squeals they usually come with a little too much neck relief
Like you said it's not a "Dime only guitar". Sounds like it has a pretty balanced sound, curious to see what stings, and pickup change will do.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the new dean select series all have factory a SH5 in bridge position and a APH1 in neck position .
Yeh you are correct tb5 and aph1 but I think mine was different as it was sent from the USA custom shop. But I could be wrong to be fair
