The Woolly Worm is best tied on a small streamer hook in sizes #04-08. The Woolly Worm is a very versatile pattern. It can be dead drifted, stripped back or swung in the current. One of my favorite flies the wooly worm, it was one of the first fly lures I used and I caught many big bluegills and decent bass, and this video showed me how to tie it like a pro, great instructions and detailed I'll be making some soon!
Great pattern, well explained and thought out.
I do dry fly and use a 3x forged hook with peacock hurl with a cardinal tail and super grizzley hackle. and a sparse dear hair wing . a variation on the spruce fly.
Good tie and vid.
Thanks

I thought most fisherman graduated past wolly worms 40 years ago.
But you gotta admit it still catches fish.
There is a reason why the old flies are still used.....THEY WORK.
Way too much off-camera action. please show everything you're doing.
