Well I’m a little bent out of shape with UA-cam’s algorithm. I had no idea this video was even out until about 20 minutes ago. Travis my long distance friend what can I say, it just looks absolutely incredible! I’d say the majority of those that watch your videos or have the privilege of seeing you daily have no idea the amount of time and dedication it takes to accomplish what you have on your property, it’s truly amazing. Being a little ocd myself I can appreciate that you’re so meticulous with details. No doubt your mother and father are proud of their son. Along with Kristin and your children. Heck I’m proud to have been able to witness this journey even from several hundred miles away. It has to be exhausting but please don’t stop.

@@seanyoung3577 I appreciate you following along Sean, thankfully I am closer to the end than the beginning. I sometimes have more ideas than I have time but the challenge is what I enjoy. I am definitely ready to wrap it up and move on to something else. Thanks as always!

Looks great to me. Not surprised at all about the quote. Those quotes always make me second guess my career choices.
House is looking good! Family before UA-cam for sure.

Thanks, I think we should get into the porch building business if that is the norm

Porch looks awsome man! I think the same way. 40 hours to complete the job means he would have been charging you over $500/hr. Kinda crazy if you ask me.
My septic install cost me $21,000 and he had it done it 1 day.
Our local Sanitation dept does not let home owners install unless you have taken a class on how to install them.
I imagine the material was around $10,000 since we did a peat moss filter.
    So $11,000/8hrs = $1,375/hr.
Next time I am taking the class and doing it myself.

Thank You. I don’t blame you, I am happy to pay a fair price but double and triple I can’t go along with.

Your short rafters as you’re tapering down to the corner of the porch are called hip rafters. They are called hip rafters because you hip roofed the outside corners of the roof. If you had a porch with an inside corner the short rafters would be called valley rafters. Boy, you sure are a learning lots of new things. Hopefully, not things like: There ain’t no good in an evil hearted woman, and I ain’t cut out to be no Jesse James, and you don’t go writing hot checks down in Mississippi, and there ain’t no good chain gang! 😂
