That has turned out absolutely fantastic. you did an great job with the herringbone for your first time doing it. Sonny looked like he enjoyed his spots time. thanks from Australia
I like hot pink, but oh my! I have to wonder what the rest of the room looked like. I’m not always a fan of painting wood, but it was the only way that this cabinet could be salvaged. I really like the herringbone design on the door. I can understand why your beautiful wife wanted to keep this piece. Your attention to detail is incredible, and the finished project is gorgeous. Sonny is just too cute!
Subscribing to your channel is a pleasure. Love each one and a treat to see the little guy, who has sure grown. You did wonders for this piece, your wife will surely love it in the home. Linda Beals.
What a beautiful addition to your living room! It turned out absolutely amazing! I love the herringbone design! That was a brilliant idea! The sports break was awesome! Sonny just brightens my day he's so adorable! Have an awesome week with your family! I know your wife is so proud of you and her new cabinet! Fantastic job! 😊❤
This looks awesome! My favorite part is when you did not scrape the entire paint surface, but encouraged it with a little mineral spirits to create a dark stain. THAT WAS SO COOL. Great idea and I'm going to use it! Thanks for the video, such a sweet family you have.
Wow, that is a wonderful transformation. When I first saw your pink choice to take on I cringed. Never did I think it would come out so beautifully. Brilliant idea with the "shade",very smart. Thank you, Kate Anderson
If you use blinds again, the easiest way to remove the slats, is to cut the cord that runs thru them at the very bottom, then pull them out by pulling on the cords that raise and lower the blind. Then you can cut the ladder braids at the very top, stand the slats on end, and slide the braids down. Takes about 45secs. Luv the thinking outside the box, it came out FANTASTIC❣️
A really nice job. The interior light adds to the piece. Your herringbone door design uplifts the piece to another level. All you need is a tassel for that key. Great job! Carol from California
I adore the herringbone pattern on the door. Beautifully done. The idea to get the wood slats from a wood blind is genius. I have a solid mahogany bar with fold out top. The piece is wonderful but the doors are nothing special. I’m inspired to use your technique. Thank you.
From Barbie's Dream House to Your House! It's Amazing how a Professional Paint Job will Make a piece look ten times better! The Herringbone really works well. I didn't know kids started so young to learn Cricket but considering how complicated the game is, it makes sense.
Thank you :) It reminded me of barbie initially too! They learn all sorts of sports in this toddlers session he goes too, thank goodness the bats are foam. The kids swing them all over the place!
Wow yet again, Cole! 👍 I really love corner cabinets like this one. They're never the right size or the shelf space is off. This one hit the "Goldilocks Zone" and is just right. I totally agree with your wife that this is a keeper piece. Using up the window shades to tile the front with keeps so much out of the landfill, looks fantastic and is one of a kind. I like the color choice of "Cole Black" hahaha and the natural shade of the shades. PS: Once again, my only complaint is that there wasn't enough Sonny time. Goodness, he's a handsome guy! Good vibes from the US! 🤟
With some pieces of furniture the only way to save it is to paint it and that's fine because it saves it from the skip 😊 I loved the herringbone pattern you did it took a run of the mill piece to a pride of place piece as your wife recognised 😂 Now I am not normally a sports person but that sports break was awesome 😎 it's so lovely too see him just having fun 😊
Oh how beautiful you've made this piece! Fantastic job with the herringbone! Your little boy is the most adorable baby ever! I love your work!
That has turned out absolutely fantastic. you did an great job with the herringbone for your first time doing it. Sonny looked like he enjoyed his spots time. thanks from Australia
Thank you very much! I think I enjoyed the sports as much as Sonny ;)
The new up-do is beautiful, elegant, and classy! Great job! Love it.
Thank you so much!
Awesome transformation!! It is a beautiful piece for your home.
Thanks so much! 😊
Really beautiful, and thanks for the sports break! Your little guy looks so happy 🥰
Thank you!! 😊 He is a happy little fella :)
At the first moment, you caught me off my guard by using the blind slats. In the end, I was in awe of your workmanship. This is a great masterpiece. ❤
Great job! Your herringbone addition really makes this piece feel like it is a much more expensive piece of furniture.
Thank you very much, I am glad you think so :)
Impressively resourceful to use those blind slats- and you didn’t have to stain them! Such a win, and an excellent job overall.
Thank you! Yes, very lucky I didn't have to strip and stain them :)
What a wonderful idea to use the wooden blinds! I love it, and this piece turned out wonderfully. ❤

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind words :)
To say it’s better than the pink is an understatement! Gorgeous 😍
Great re-purposing of the wooden blinds. Cole paints with coal. And that light was the perfect finishing touch!
Haha, I didn't even pick up on that myself!! Thank you :)
Great save and transformation! Pretty little storage & display cupboard. You did a great job!
Love this, the herring bone pattern and wood shelves that echo the tone make it next level

Well done! It might only be MDF, but it has good bones that the black paint and herringbone pattern enhanced. 👍
Yes it was actually a well made piece of furniture, not like the flimsy flatpack stuff you can buy today! Thank you for watching :)
