at last benchmarking gpu's for video editing! Thank you! hope you make more vids with other video cards specially for those who are new in video editing.
I've been thinking about switching from Premiere to Da Vinci once I get use to Da Vinci. I don't do a lot of heavy video edits. Mostly family stuff, weddings, and small things. Nothing really overly extensive. I also always made Proxies in Premiere so that's also a good option for people looking to increase some performance. So once I jump into DaVinci looks like Nvidia is the way to go. Right now Im just using a 1070ti that I want to toss. I feel like my options for upgrading are limitless coming from that card.
great video!!!! Question - How much if a problem are Nvidia drivers for linux (Mint). is it a pain in the ass where you have to spend many hours researching, or is it not a big deal. thanks.
Interesting vid at a time that when I am forced to upgrade my system , which includes graphics adapter for light video editing and heavy photo editing. However, I'm not convinced this is a like-for-like comparison given the RX 6600 8Gb R2 has been around since 2022 with higher specs than the out-of date version quoted in the video, which in turn was compared to the 12Gb version of the RTX 3060, not the 8Gb version with some $150 AUD separating these two and making the AMD around 35% cheaper than the Nvidia (in Australia at least). Like I said, not really like-for-like comparison for me - read as I'm still a little unsure. Similarly, the editing packages are a little "all over the place". An industry standard Adobe Premier Pro, a free download blender and a not-so-clear whether the free download or higher specced Da Vinci Resolve was used (or did I miss something?) which changes everything in the comparison depending on the version. Most buying this tech level in cards would probably investigate/use VideoStudio, Pinnacle Studio, or even Vegas - mid-level applications for mid-level cards. I personally used Premier Pro but have always gravitated to both Video Studio and Vegas for the simplicity, fast work flow and lack of stress they place on the hardware - I am nowhere near being a pro, but then I don't think Blender users would be either. On the other hand, it is more important for me to have the capability to deal with the ever increasing specifications and complexity of photo editing packages that do hit GPU and GDDR resources hard, such as DxO's PhotoRAW and PhotoLab, Adobe's LightRoom and Photoshop, etc. It would be great to hear whether others agree or disagree, and/or what experiences they may want to share to help clarify these issues for me.
I am actually confused between two cards.. RX6750XT (12gb VRAM) and RTX 3060TI (8GB VRAM).. Which one should I go for? I will use DaVinci Resolve for mostly 1080p video editing and I want a smooth workflow rather than a fast render time.. Please help me out of my misery!!
I had problems in premiere pro and after effects to work with 4k videos thanks my 1650 gtx card, but I have a question, if I will buy SAPPHIRE Radeon RX 6600 XT NITRO+ OC 8 GB, could I be able to work with 4k videos with motion graphics? +I have 32GB ram and ryzen 5 2600 sex-core 3.4 GHz

Hey so I am trying to find out how to email you (might have some work for hire editing gigs of interest next month), but can't find your contact info anywhere or other social media I could contact you through. What's the best way to reach out?
@@buradaoyunoynanir if you want to save yourself a headache go for a 3060 , I've bought an rx 6600xt that does great in 1080p gaming but i was frustrated to see that all productivity softwares are more optimized for nvidia gpus because they had these CUDA cores that I've never heard of until i bought an amd gpu
Thanks bro for clearing my mind, I was so confused which one to choose for video editing. I'm a member of a PC gamers group on Facebook and they always praise AMD cards. One more question, which Processor is better, AMD Ryzen or Intel?
For video editing, either of the Processors should be good. Depending on what your budget is, go for the CPU which offers the more cores and threads and has a good base clock speed either from Intel or AMD
A channel whose videos will not waste your time. Just informative yet entertaining to watch...like always.😌 Very well made! 😌

finally someone talking about real time rendering!!
You sound really good. Can you make a tutorial for cleaning up audio?
4060 vs. 7600 would have been a more interesting comparison since both can do AV1 encoding

Btw can you test the blender using prorender for amd card
The test was done using HIP 1.0 intergration which has the Prorender engine, so essentially the same result

Plz compare 6700xt Vs 3060 because price is same for both cards. Plz test on same benchmarks
Sure, I'll compare them once I get the 6700XT

Highly informative..thanks for the video.
Is (i5 13gen) +(RTX 3060) a good composition for blender?
Yeah it's a pretty good combo, however if you get a 3060Ti close to the price of the 3060, get that one, its much faster

wow, I did not expect AMD to be that much worse than nvidia on blender. It absolutely blows AMD out of the water.

So basically amd cards are pretty much just as good for video editing unless your doing actual animation with other programs ?
Umm, pretty much yeah!
