This is so true. I grew up in the 90s and a young adult in the 2000's and let me tell you some of these fashion rules were drilled into our heads like they were the law. I remember painstakingly trying to put outfits together matching shoes and bags, belts, makeup and jewelry. It was exhausting! As I got older I learned to just wear what I like and be comfortable. Throw caution to the wind ladies.

That's why clear bra straps are soooooooo much better strapless bra on its own which never worked for me. They're a bit delicate, but a fashion must-have. The examples they showed were all runway and Victoria's Secret, where showing off a bra is the whole point.

I HAVE SOMETHING SEPARATE TO SAY IT IS MY OWN OPINION ABOUT SUBJECT OF FASHION: Now I genuinely think that fashion can be a problem, and it is for a number of reasons; One is the expensive clothes, shoes, & jewelry, the other is the many different types of styles of fashion outfits, next is the fashion clothing almost always mainly worn by stuck up people, and then there is the many judgements that some of the people who wear the expensive clothing & shoes make upon the people who don’t wear their types of outfits. To add some types of people think that they can pull of the look when they are wearing the popular fashion outfits even though their body’s are not in good healthy shape, and the fact of the matter is that they just can’t because for the reason their bodies’s are not in healthy shape. Plus to add I heard a rumor that the very modals who are responsible for wearing the display of certain types of clothing lines on them are suffering, and it is because the people in charge of the fashion industry are forcing them to starve themselves to much just to wear the most slimmest clothing outfits that the designers have made for some very odd unknown reason, and this makes no sense to me because there is barely anyone in the world who could be able to wear such very slim clothing outfits. So because of all of this the whole fashion industry, and the idea of fashion is completely ridiculous to me, and to add I strongly think that people should only wear what genuinely feels comfortable on them, and also to add for there own selves make them feel attractive looking at in the mirrors, and to add feel appreciated attractive by those they trust to be honest with them. Plus to add my own opinion is that the subject of attractiveness doesn’t just matter for the outer looks it also includes the inner beauty as well, and the inner beauty represents a person’s behavior, genuine respect shown if shown, & more like that, and to add the human soul.
The one size thing I have an issue with is promoting obesity. I mean obese people need to wear clothes too, but obesity isn't a good look on anyone. As someone who's been around a lot of obese people and been chubby for most of my childhood, I gotta say, it's not great for anyone. Not to mention how much obesity hurts your health. So please, promote healthy women. Not just skinny high fashion models, but the average healthy woman. Obesity isn't normal and it never should be.

Just because it's comfortable does not make it appropriate. There are outfits for certain occasions. For instance you would not show up to a wedding reception in sweats with socks and sandals. People would probably mistake you for cleaning staff. I adhere to a lot of those so-called 'outdated' rules because following them makes me look and feel put-together and elegant. Bra straps, IMO should NOT be on display. It's called UNDER-wear for a reason.
Showing bra straps rule was meant for certain clothing. If you’re gonna wear an outfit that does show off your bra strap, at least make it a pretty one that compliments the look.
