Well, you can look at it this way as well (at least this is how I positively look at it), we can at least hope to look towards seeing models that are realistically skinny.
@BEASTIEBOY So what do you say to those whose genetics simply don't produce the features that fit within such a narrow definition of "absolute perfection?" Those who are naturally short, or those who naturally have bigger bones? Don't act like for a second that you (who's likely an ugly troll) and the so-called "we" you refer to would turn away the VAST amount of gorgeous human beings who simply aren't tall, very small-boned, and very thin. Sure, most people can work out, diet, and become very thin/fit if they desire. And there is nothing wrong with striving for excellence. I'm assuming you already know that attraction varies and is relevant to the "eye of the beholder." In that definition alone, absolute perfection is a literally impossible concept. Don't act like you would turn down a gorgeous human just because their bones weren't smaller than average, and they were under 5'6. You sound like someone that's fallen victim to your insecurity to the point where you have to write UA-cam comments in an attempt to sound like you're part of an elitist mindset, when really you just are revealing to the world how insecure and utterly lonely you really are. Either that, or you suffer from DSM-5-defined Narcissistic Personality Disorder, or possibly Histrionic Personality Disorder. Considering how grandiose your idea of yourself and your imagined cohorts are, as well as the amount of attention-seeking you demonstrate, it could even be a combination of both. I'd have to get to know you more, but I don't think there's ANYONE who would like to do that based off of how you carry yourself. Regardless of your disordered personality traits, you are just another broken troll, and for that, I pity you.
@@cosmicraccoon_ If you believe in body diversity, isn't ironic that you call the person an ugly troll? Beauty does vary from person to person, but there is some consistency in what the majority finds attractive.

Katey Webb you are pretty enough bb! I’ve been modelling for quite a few years and Im short and have wide hips. yes we all get turned down a few times but we move and get accepted by many others! you can do it girl whatever your shape/ size xox

Once you Merited a Wing for you to wear at the show, you're considered to be an Angel. Some models walk for numerous years and they haven't got their wings yet. Having a wing is never easy like 123. Btw Kendall got hers on her 2nd year.

NO SHE IS NOT!!!! TheTalko is so full of shit and are notorious for giving false information. Victoria's Secret has NEVER once labeled Barbara as "plus size", Barbara herself has never labeled herself as plus size because she isn't. The only model who is actually considered plus size by industry standards and is currently working for VS is Lorena Duran.
Rendre Fou barbara being plus size it’s how the company presented her (as the new ply size model) they are just repeating what they said...still she’s not plus size for me
Madss MSP provide the primary source... Cause in pattern making 2-14/16 is usual, 16+ is plus size, and pattern making sizes are different from uk or us sizing, its almost smack dab in the middle
Neither Barbara nor VS have ever said that she is plus size. It was some random Facebook page who started this mess, the fact that people kept on calling her fat didn’t help either. And another thing... She didn’t become an angel because she’s a lot curvier than the rest (and they wanted diversity) but simply because VS needs her. They already offered her the contract back in 2012 but she turned them down because they asked her to lose weight and L’Oréal offered more money. She’s been working with them since 2010 and came back after her L’Oréal contract ended
Barbara's contract with L'Oreal did not end. She is now Armani Beauty and Armani Beauty is a part of the L'Oreal Group. She is still L'Oreal Ambassador.
I’m 5’8 and 120 pounds and people call me really skinny at school. It’s the should be the same thing for her. But anyways since she is considered plus size then I am too!!!!! I always wanted to be thicker than a bowl of oatmeal
Well if she's 5 foot 8 inches and 120 pounds that'll give her a BMI of about 18.24 putting her in the slightly underweight category. Since people can be slightly underweight or slightly overweight and still healthy, she probably is then.

Barbara palvin is not plus size, she's normal sized, at least how she looks today. She used to be very thin but healthy looking now. X FENTY is great. Tess holiday tho, is just as bad as VS
Imagine if Elsa Hosk (or another skinny model) would speak out against plus-size models. The shitstorm would be real. But Tess Holiday critizising VS choice of models? Wow, amazing that she speaks up... F*** double standards
I think its that fact that plus size models have been rejected to much especially with how controversial victoria secret is. Having plus size models makes it more diverse but they refuse and choose to show that near anorexic women is the ideal weight to other girls or women, and they may not be anorexic but they do look deprived and neither are plus size or that skinny is healthy, but its the use of being equal and diverse and the thought that counts. Having plus size models can show people who are plus size to love themself, not to become more unhealthier but to be able to live at least a bit happy knowing that you are okay with yourself to some extent.
it's ya boi These models live the healthiest lives possible. And many of them are the presecribes BMI. Also, the point of the VS Angel is to have those waif-like fantasy women, isn't it? That's what it's always been about.
She's not cute enough and her personality is terrible. Spoiled rich girl gets to be a model because of her family. They all owe kim everything without her they'd be nothing.
Gk, what do you mean her personality? Do you know her? I don’t think so. Don’t hate on her, just because you’re jealous and can never had what she has.
I think it’s more fun to believe she did lol ... let’s just start telling everyone Victoria secretly started Victoria secret and that’s why it’s called “ Victoria secret” ...
Quarentined Love i know people like that, girls who are naturally skinny, my sister is like that. Yea they also workout, there bodies aren’t impossible to achieve, or to have
@ Yes but you used to term obese so I was a little confused. Ofcourse I understand overweight people can be healthy. I was just confused about the obese part. Your statement about every obese person not being unhealthy then stands wrong tho obesity is excess fat that causes health problems and therefore every obese person is unhealthy. Every overweight person isnt.
I'm fed up of people hating on these models... Victoria secret models are beautiful women who work really hard. I hate when people shame them because they are thinner and taller. thanks for all the likes 💕🥺
To be honest,I don’t think overweight means beautiful or healthy. You don’t need to feel uncomfortable about your body. But you have to know you can do better.
Agreed. It irritates me when videos like this claim that the model's body types are promoting an "unhealthy lifestyle". These women lead about the most healthy lifestyle you possibly can! They eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and they exercise often! They're not barfing in the toilet or not eating for days at a time like some people seem to think. These women are WORKING!
@@erikaweaver6720 And you know that from personal experience? Seeing them 24/7 what they do? You have no idea what they have to do to stay so thin. Under eating and over exercising is one. Their weight to their height is seriously dis-proportioned. When you see bones, you know there is a problem.
I'm tired of today's culture... People get offended by the smallest things and even by doing nothing you offend someone. Victoria's secret has never claimed to aim towards a curvier audience and the lack of body diversity in their shows reflects that. If their target audience was broader and included women with more curves then I'm sure they also would've been represented in the show, and if not, then yes people should be offended. But like literally, NO ONE gets offended by a brand that only has sizes for plus size models - those brands get praised instead... Shouldn't women with fewer curves then get offended? Otherwise, it seems like hypocritical, or at least to me. A brand like savagexfenty gets praised for their diversity but their cup sizes only go up to a ddd like VS - then again, shouldn't skinner girls with a large chest get offended by Rihanna stating that her brand is inclusive? her brand is only inclusive band size wise not it cup size… My moral is basically just that every brand is inclusive in their own way, get on with your life and stop being offended by everything ok bye And btw VS has never claimed that Barbara was a plus-size model
Your WRONG. when it started it was geared towards GROWN WOMEN. it was a right of passage for a women to start collecting vs bras and panties. However the quality and aesthetic is cheap and geared towards teens now. Thats why its lost so many loyal customers. Whats funny is teens are buying fenty. The women that once loved vs are appalled at the bs that is now what they are selling. Overpriced ,cheap garbage.
I think you missed the point Skorpia g. She wasnt talking about the "quality" of the product. She is responding to the offense people take over skinny vs plus size models.
And VS shouldn't take offense in their reduction in sale, hence their reason for closing down a lot of their stores. Yes, you can have whomever you want as your target audience but if you don't move with the time, you'll result in poor sales figure, like exactly like what happened to them. A lot of stores are closing down because they can't get with the times.
@Alejandra E And that 'Oop' was picked up right by SavagexFENTY. Let VS keep their image and brand, and all the "others" will go where they are represented. VS can't get mad where people choose to take their money.
I personally think that they don't have to change their brand to fit other people They shouldn't be rude about it but they don't have to have plus sizemodels or transmodels.
Exactly For joining army they check proper eyesights body ratios everything same like that every job got their own qualifications Why can’t people just accept that
they don’t have to, but they should. if they are such a popular brand and marketing their models as having the “ideal body” (which is often as a cause of unhealthy dieting and attempts to meet their companies standards) it’s dangerous to young girls who don’t exactly look like that because it essentially lets people know that they don’t fit the mould (when in reality 95% of the world looks like victoria’s secret angels) not only would marketing to plus size women and trans women skyrocket their profits and honestly create a better body image and ideal for most people.
There's a reason why models are of a particular size, shape, height and looks. The main reason is to fit in a certain standard size of the garment to be shown. Models act like human hangers wearing the garment and showing how it should look on a standard size. And some models, due to their fan base and their super appropriate proportions get more hype and get in huge shows like the VS.
When they discuss diversity its not specifically race its body type as well, there is no such thing as a 'standard' size of women/people. Thats the whole point- a lingerie company should cater to different sized people, bigger breasts, wider hips and transwomen are still women. The models are fine and they work hard for their bodies but the "standard/perfect" body should not be limited to just that body type. A catwalk is a show but also a form of a catalogue where these "human hangers" model the clothes so it only makes sense to have different types of bodies modelling different sized lingerie.
The meaning of models are women or a men with very well sculpted HEALTHY bodies.. These type of models put effort, discipline to stay healthy and fit. Therefore these models are representing HEALTH , ELEGANCE, REFINEMENT and CLASS to the public.. I'm sorry an over weight model does NOT represent what class ELEGANCE and refinement is, and specially and definitely, a overweight model does NOT represent a DETOXIFIED BODY AND GOOD HEALTH. It is extremely unhealthy to be overweight and a bad example to the younger generation..This is not a hate comment but A TRUE FACT... For the ones that don't agree with me save your comment because I won't read it or comment back..
Strong criticism I want to give here at 5:12, not because I have something against Kendall, I don't but, STOP calling girls that get booked for the fashion show "angels". Getting a gig to be in the fashion show does not mean models automatically earn the title of "Angel". You have to recognize that the models who actually work for the company are rightfully called "angels". Also, I would like to say this concerning Tess Holiday's position in the plus size argument; She is NOT healthy. That woman has never provided documents nor paperwork nor testimonies from any doctor proving her stance in the argument that it's possible to be plus size, sexy, and *healthy*. It's sort of counter-intuitive to use her as an example because we might as well use an anorexic girl as an example for inclusivity. If you want to include the plus size inclusivity argument, make sure to use people that are plus size that are proven to be healthy; people that are between size 12-18 that have actually worked their asses off to maintain healthy lifestyles and are able to lead by example for what the standard of beauty is.
@Tatcher Jacques Clearly you missed the point. It's not just a matter of downgrading someone because they are plus size. It is a matter of questioning someone's credibility in the size inclusivity argument when they are not proven to be a healthy figure. If I wanted to attack someone just because of their size, I could've easily done that with any other plus-size model. Not just Tess.
@Tatcher Jacques I never said that. You clearly did not read what I wrote, you skimmed over it. I made a strong criticism for two separate topics that were both discussed in this video.
@Tatcher Jacques The criticism I made in terms of VS models is when people call those who get gigs to be part of the fashion show "Angels" even though they do not actually work for the company. I don't understand how you mixed that up.
The models they choose has to play some part of their downfall. In the past they had legendary models, like Tyra, Giselle, Heidi, and while she wasn't an official angel Naomi. Even a few years back they had a strong line up with Candice, Rosie, Miranda, Lindsay, Doutzen, Adriana, and Alessandra all strong predecessors of the coveted angel wings, However, now you have just very lack luster models who people don't really care about or only in it because they are popular within social media standards. I'm convinced that this isn't just a coincidence when Adriana decided to pull the plug, and all of a sudden VS suddenly became irrelevant.
Night Reader as a female who most of her life purchased VS bras, underwear, pjs, and lotions I can tell you that their products quality has lowered dramatically. I as a full figure woman can lo longer fit in their bras due to cup sizes. It’s a shame that they are so blindly ignoring there consumers.
Nope, they’ll be here for a long time, they’re sales are going up and have started using a plus size model on print (not in the show, ever according to Ed)
Wow! I'm 5'7 & 125lb. Not once have I've been called plus size. VS needs to get their sh*t together cause they have been this way for far to long. Sounds like ED only hirers women that he finds attractive.
BECAUSE THAT IS NOT PLUS SIZE. This channel of course is putting out false information like it always does. Barbara is NOT size 8 and she is also NOT plus size. Neither she or VS has claimed she is plus size.... it's fools who don't know anything about fashion or modeling that have mislabeled her as plus size because she's slightly curvier than the rest. The only plus size model VS have working for them right now is Lorena Duran and VS haven't claimed she's plus size, she falls into that category by industry standards and is listed as plus size by her agency.
coming from a girl that does not look like these angels - these girls work so hard for their bodies. they choose to become a VS model by auditioning. and VS isn't about the girls, it's about showing of the garments. they need a blank canvas. we stan the VS models and angels for their years of dedication and hard work.
Almost everyone outside the VS fandom/team calls models who book the show angels. Kendall is not an angel. (And this shows how popular VS is in the world, they're not hahah)
As a company, they are changing. I actually do love their products! I love their PINK products as well. I am happy to see they are evolving again and look forward to see their changes!
Come on it's their job to work out and look beautiful to attract the attention. If models look like an average girl then nothing would be so special about them. In fact i really like how they refused to include models with varied sizes it gives the brand authenticity. It's like you're doing advanced maths and some people who can't do math chose took that class, and because the grades aren't so good they decided to make the tasks easier, which makes advanced maths just like regular one. This is my opinion and it's not meant to offend anyone. If I'm going to watch a fashion show I'd like to see something out of the ordinary not someone who looks like me.
MAYONNAISE Okay, no that is not the same as the point he made. Lack of diversity is a totally different concept than which body types the company chooses to use.
Dorthy Fords definition of diversity: the state of being diverse: variety. it isn’t always limited to ethnicity and such, I was using the word “diversity” in the range of body types.
It totally what I’m thinking. Like models are supposed to showcase the clothes. I find it so hard to focus on the clothes when their is different size of models together. For example, I search in the American Eagle website for jeans, they show different style of jeans in different size. I can’t even compare them
Victoria Secret models shouldn’t be what people aspire to be. Social media really had an affect on how women perceive their body :( you’re all beautiful l
I'm a model, and my measurements are similar to barbras and trust me, she's not considered plus size anywhere. Except maybe Saint Laurent lol. But no she's considered not plus size by any industry standard. Sure, she may not be there skinniest, and I'm sure she's has a lot of criticism she faces due to her body but that still doesn't make her plus size
well do you not see the amount of effort that vs models put in before a show? like being a vs model is an achievement that you have to work so hard to earn and only the best get in. Cmon like we're adults we shouldn't be offended by stuff like this!
I agree with some of the things said about this brand but I do not understand why are people getting so offended by brands featuring beautiful, skinny, tall models. Like???? It’s their job to look perfect! They are chosen to be models because they are above average pretty.
Back in the 90's they model's were curvy not plus size but healthy that was with the original founder he loved women if all sizes and made sure all bar's in all sizes like the video pointed out that the company is mostly white men before this they did have women executives that's why in the 90's victory secrets was the #1place so its totally white male ideals that failed and now in 2020 they are bankrupted ,and the factories are closed so just have to sell off what they have in stores KARMA hit em because this CEO has said he hates fat women he insulted 80%of his customer's see why this company lost big .you don't insult your customer's like that or you lose and he and his white male staff deserve what came to them
@@nikkibavlnka1869 they kicked Ed razek out of VS he can’t work with them anymore but on their Instagram they are way more diverse skin tones and sizes people just want that same energy at the shows but VS just doesn’t listen to their customers they were supposed to do a fashion show for 2020 but COVID happen they want to do one for 2021 but a lot of their viewers most likely won’t watch cause all of their favorites left like Adriana, Alessandra, Doutzen, Miranda ect left the brand and that’s when their views dropped
So here is the thing. Beauty is relative. Nobody is to decide what counts as average beauty and what's above average. If beign plus size or short is below average beauty standard then beauty standards need to be changed. Having diverse models with diverse body shapes and sizes encourages self love and help people feel comfortable in their bodies. Only portraing thin, tall as beautiful is redundant in 2021. World is changing and people are too. These big fashion companies need to realise that if their models can't represent the wide range of beautiful women out there and only focus on cliché beauty standards, they will soon run out of business. Fashion companies should advertise their brands in a way that women of every race, shape, size feel welcomed and the brand should not feel foreign/ unrealistic. Excluding 70% of world's population just bcoz its "below average" isn't a smart move.
Ok ppl need to understand that models don’t have a say in what they wear, how they’re looks is done etc. so it’d be great if ppl can understand that and move on
C'mon...they have a right to portray fashion in their own way. Other body types are also good and they have their own platforms too. Don't straitjacket all fashion types into the diversity thing. Let there be a freedom in each one's own way of expressing fashion. No one's stopping you form portraying it in a different way in another show. More fashion, more diversity. Stop picking on VS. They rock!
It's okay for them to portray their company aesthetic however they like, it's their brand, their decision. However, it's the same fault that caused them huge loss in sales. The fantasy they sell are mostly for the male audience (although many women also love it), but their actual market that they need to please is for the women. Men don't buy their products, women do. And a lot of women don't have the body type they represent, so a lot of women have lost interest in the brand.
Too bad they STARTED OUT GEARED TOWARDS GROWN WOMEN. Thats why they were popular. The quality and aesthetic. Then they geared towards teens and it all went to shit. The only thing good is their bodysprays/lotions.
They are sucking in during their photoshoots and catwalks, not to mention they have techniques with water weight and stuff. also, their lifestyle in the month / particularly the week before the show is their life! Plus a 'belly' is the part that sticks out because we have ovaries, and the skin we can bunch up so that we are able stretch :) they have bellies too! It's just their job to hide it
Wrong. God created man with Mediterranean colors as he was. As the years went by ,people moved to each continent and in order to survive they developed the hormone of melatonin. More at hot places less at cold ones.

How to save Victoria's secret: •Humble the brand to make the "angels" seem more human •And get rid of the men in charge because that's not a good look for women's lingerie

They always complain about the diversity of adding plus sized women and their feelings, but forget about the skinny girls who need love too. And they don’t have to include certain people if they don’t want to. I’m pretty sure that it’s not to bash anyone.
Tatcher Jacques what I’m saying is that skinny women are getting bashed and should also be celebrated and no, it’s not what most promote. Look at how every celebrity is “thick” and there are fat acceptance icons.
Well blame the fucked up industry that can't comprehend basic capitalism 101 of the only color and shape that matters is green and rectangular. Fucked politics or ethics, it's defeated by business basics.
Despite this - if they successfully change and evolve with the times, VS is still my favorite brand and go to for bras and panties. I like their fit and sizing and designs the most; they are still the majority of the brand of bras I own (with the exception of some Aerie, though personally I don't wear them often because I don't feel like they're my style or the comfort level or sizing).
Barbara is not plus size. What the hell! Lack luster attempt is an understatement. She's 121 pounds 5'8 and curvier than that of the usual super skinny model. Oh well.
It's definitely doable but you need to eat healthy and reduce stress (ie intermittent fasting, eating protein and fat, reducing sugar and simple carbs, drinking a ton of water, reducing stress because cortisol stops weight loss, getting enough sleep and rest, etc...). It's a huge lifestyle change but it is a change for the better. Unfortunately many girls feel like they need to starve themselves to be slim but it's definitely not the case. They are just unaware of the healthy way of doing it.
@@komfykoala6083 but you have to have good genes too. Almost every model I saw in interviews told that they were very skinny already as a kid and teenager....
And thanks to Instagram modelling, the whole view point of being a model is shifting to something "desirable".. you guys should learn more about the fashion industry before drawing up conclusions. No offense.
I see several videos giving the impression that Barbara was, after that 2012 vsfs, barely “used” by the brand for her weight when,in reality, she was actually completely removed from VS for *several years* only coming back to be used as a plus sized model and STILL, when she came back, her body was fully covered, unlike her peers. Still back in her 2012 show, her whole body was cover.
They are called VS ANGELS for a reason, they look like ANGELS, they possess an ethereal physical beauty and magnetism that most people dont have. Im so tired of people projecting their insecurities, dont look at something that you know will trigger you. Not everyone is designed for everything. Just like not everyone is super smart or agile and can compete in high-level academic, STEM, political, etc. Contests, not everyone will be a model or will be perceived as physically beautiful no matter what standard youre using. Fix your low self esteems and do something with your lives
I wish it wouldn’t end because their bras last for fucking ever. The price is worth. I’ve had some of their bras for 2 to 4 years. Not even then did the wire come out or anything just was getting old.
VS once really disrespected plus size women or even people that are not a size 00, 0 or 2. I don’t get why a worldwide brand would so something like that..
I cant believe that a Model like Barbara Palvin is seen as a "plus size model" for so many people.
128 pds? 5’8 height considered plus size? What world are we living in?!!! Insane
Francesca C Agreed! Seems like you’re the only one who actually think before commenting.I mean no hate btw
*The only thing that makes Barbara different from the rest of the Angels is that she has wider hips???? That doesn’t make her plus size....*
I wanna be a model but I’m not pretty enough and I don’t have the body shape. I mean I work out but if I was a model, my hips would be too wide like they are now.
Katey Webb you are pretty enough bb! I’ve been modelling for quite a few years and Im short and have wide hips. yes we all get turned down a few times but we move and get accepted by many others! you can do it girl whatever your shape/ size xox
in fact having wider hips makes your walk better
Katey Webb Same I wanna be a model but then r stomachs are flat my stomach isn’t
Wider hips, means she was born a woman, those so called woman you see walking down Victoria Secret runway are transgendered men.
if Barbara Palvin is plus size and i considered extra jumbo
arianna p ommgg saame lol
ariana elle she was never labeled as plus size by her or Victoria’s Secret loll, the talko needs to find better sources and not lie straight to their audience
Yes, you are.
But how is she a size 8, I’m a size 2 and we weigh the same
So urll fat? 😂😂
2 questions:
1) Size 8 is plus size?!
2) How is someone who is 5'8" and 120lbs a size 8?
I'm 5'8 and 207 pounds 😫😫😫😫
I highly doubt she weighs that little. Most VS model weights are inaccurate because they are curvier and more muscular that high fashion models.
Raquelpixie when I was anorexic back in high school, I was 5'9" and got down to 130lbs and size 7's were too big, but I wasn't fitting into a 5 quite yet.
i will mention though that I considered a pair of pants "too big" if I was unable to easily take them and off without unbuttoning them. 🤷 maybe I was a 5 after all🤷
Lol I wear a size 6-8 I’m 5’8 and weigh like 150 so something is off
Wider hips?
Kendell Jenner is not a VS angel, not everyone who runs for the VS runway is a VS angel.
Once you Merited a Wing for you to wear at the show, you're considered to be an Angel. Some models walk for numerous years and they haven't got their wings yet. Having a wing is never easy like 123. Btw Kendall got hers on her 2nd year.
@@pauloamaba315 well doesnt mean kendall or gigi wear wings, their an angel, this has already been clarified by victoria secret company themselves...if u search on google or wikipedia anf search for the listed long run VS angel, u will never saw Kendall and the Hadid's listed...sorry not even their famous family can make their status becoming an angel!!.somemore, 3 of them has very basic looks...and gigi has a douche behaviour of her mocking other races, arrogant, cocky and fulk of himself...the epitome if No CLASS.....somemore she has a chubby face and not so skinny fit body..difinitely not suitable to be angel at all!!. And also, some regular models didn't get wings for years because back in the earlier days, wings were rare, not as the later shows when they made so many wings that even a newbie got a pair
Wait... Barbara Palvin was considered plus size? I thought she was just like all the other models
@BEASTIEBOY kendall is either way slightly anorexic
Yeahhhh, I am 5'8" and 120 so I just found out they consider that plus size so yeah no!

Alisa Mich well there was like a viral picture of her on fb sayinf vs called her plus size, but I don’t think they ever actually did. It was a rumor
@@amarahc4351 Many sources have. Go look. I don't consider her plus sized at all.
VS asked her to come back after Alessandra and Adriana left because they knew that the brand and show's popularity will crash and burn lol.
Exactly thank you
Barbara's contract with L'Oreal did not end.
If barbara palvin is a "plus size" model then what am i? Super mega obese?

Jessica S 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I think its that fact that plus size models have been rejected to much especially with how controversial victoria secret is. Having plus size models makes it more diverse but they refuse and choose to show that near anorexic women is the ideal weight to other girls or women, and they may not be anorexic but they do look deprived and neither are plus size or that skinny is healthy, but its the use of being equal and diverse and the thought that counts.
Having plus size models can show people who are plus size to love themself, not to become more unhealthier but to be able to live at least a bit happy knowing that you are okay with yourself to some extent.
Exactly
it's ya boi These models live the healthiest lives possible. And many of them are the presecribes BMI. Also, the point of the VS Angel is to have those waif-like fantasy women, isn't it? That's what it's always been about.

Both are unhealthy. No brand should represent morbidly thin or morbidly obese models
@ How is that possible? Isnt obesity basically excess fat?
@ Yes but you used to term obese so I was a little confused. Ofcourse I understand overweight people can be healthy. I was just confused about the obese part. Your statement about every obese person not being unhealthy then stands wrong tho obesity is excess fat that causes health problems and therefore every obese person is unhealthy. Every overweight person isnt.

A brand like savagexfenty gets praised for their diversity but their cup sizes only go up to a ddd like VS - then again, shouldn't skinner girls with a large chest get offended by Rihanna stating that her brand is inclusive? her brand is only inclusive band size wise not it cup size… My moral is basically just that every brand is inclusive in their own way, get on with your life and stop being offended by everything ok bye
And btw VS has never claimed that Barbara was a plus-size model
OMG...... THANK YOU!!!! I AGREE....
you said it perfectly!! Finally someone
Your WRONG. when it started it was geared towards GROWN WOMEN. it was a right of passage for a women to start collecting vs bras and panties.
VS has the right to sell whatever they want and to get the type of models they prefer. It's their brand and they have their own target market.
Travel YOLO yes, they absolutely have a right. I think the point of the video is that they’re popularity is declining as attitudes are changing. ❤️
And that's why they're not doing well tbh..
@Alejandra E And that 'Oop' was picked up right by SavagexFENTY.
Let VS keep their image and brand, and all the "others" will go where they are represented. VS can't get mad where people choose to take their money.
Agreed
Yup..AGREED
Wait... what am I if Barbara Palvin is “plus size” (she’s skinny)
As long as I'm healthy "I'm perfect" period!
I personally think that they don't have to change their brand to fit other people
They shouldn't be rude about it but they don't have to have plus sizemodels or transmodels.
demi exactly!! not everyone can be a model, just accept
demi finally someone understands!!!
Exactly
For joining army they check proper eyesights body ratios everything same like that every job got their own qualifications
Why can’t people just accept that
Exactly. Honestly, it's just their brand.
they don’t have to, but they should. if they are such a popular brand and marketing their models as having the “ideal body” (which is often as a cause of unhealthy dieting and attempts to meet their companies standards) it’s dangerous to young girls who don’t exactly look like that because it essentially lets people know that they don’t fit the mould (when in reality 95% of the world looks like victoria’s secret angels) not only would marketing to plus size women and trans women skyrocket their profits and honestly create a better body image and ideal for most people.
Jennifer's Brain EXACTLY! I’m so sick of people saying when we need “diversity” when the jobs of models is to be a hanger
Brookie Julissa agreeee
Yass

Kendall Jenner ISN'T A FREAKING ANGEL
kendall jenner is not even an angel or did i miss something
If I'm going to watch a fashion show I'd like to see something out of the ordinary not someone who looks like me.
bts are 7 for God's sake well said, i’ve felt this way for the longest time. especially when people complain about the lack of diversity.
Well said!
Fat chicks are gross
U are everywhere
@@martell8560 srsly man
Lol I just saw you under the comments of the Viewers Voice 😂 cool
I see you everywhere-
I'm a model, and my measurements are similar to barbras and trust me, she's not considered plus size anywhere.
Ok ppl need to understand that models don’t have a say in what they wear, how they’re looks is done etc. so it’d be great if ppl can understand that and move on
Wait ? U missed the point
They rock!
Akash Sharma yes!!
Mee Koh it inspires me to work for that look if I really want to wear it, rather than have a company cater to me.
Im size 4 but i have belly...how bout that. Lol

Same! And I'm proud of it. It's my food baby! 😁

Love your skin color that's what God gave you
Wrong. God created man with Mediterranean colors as he was. As the years went by ,people moved to each continent and in order to survive they developed the hormone of melatonin. More at hot places less at cold ones.

i don’t get why everyone hates on vs sizing, no one hates on brands that only have plus sizing?
Gray Nobles are u dumb?😂😂😂 plus size brands have to exist because brands like vs ignoring people with a „normal“ body type FOR DECADES. Same with make up. If u are producing a foundation u can‘t only produce 8 shades (and mostly they are in the white shade range). The companies give u the feeling that u aren‘t pretty if u aren‘t a size zero or have a white skin color.
@@aeh3745 plus size isn't normal body size. If you can't even fit into a NORMAL XL in a NORMAL store then you are the abnormal one. Stop degrading other women for not having their hearts clogged up with bacon grease.
IIsuperstarII I am not degrading anyone. I am (unfortunately) super thin. But I am sick of people like you, because you are degrading fat women :) I don‘t fucking care how your body looks like. It is not healthy to be super thin or fat but this is no reason to exclude this body types. Nice double standard😘
IIsuperstarII and I am speaking about the models they book on their shows. Wow they sell XL! But why do most of the models wear size XS? Yeah, because in their opinion you are ugly wearing a size XL or L I don‘t care. Not glamorous enough. Same with trans models lol
@@aeh3745 "I am (unfortunately) super thin". hahahahaha. Sure, Jan. And go and tell your mother about my double standards. I never mentioned skinny girls. You wanna know why? Because everyone already agrees that anorexia/bulimia is a sickness. But there are (unfortunately) women like you that dont think being obese is unhealthy which results in childhood obesity being at an all time high. I already said being XL is normal. I never said you had to be an XS to be normal. You're the one claiming I have double standards when you're obviously the one with the issues.
'Plus size is NORMAL. OMG.'
'But wearing an XS is like so baddd because I'm so body positive.'
Since the real supermodels decided to give up Victoria’s Secret the company went all the way downnnnn
How to save Victoria's secret:
•Humble the brand to make the "angels" seem more human
•And get rid of the men in charge because that's not a good look for women's lingerie
Interesting thoughts, friend. Getting rid of the men in charge may be one solution. Yet, it will leave many males in charge of the runway since most of the models are one.
So according to Victoria secrate I'm plus size I thought size eight was small
@BEASTIEBOY why should I I'm a size 8 I'm small enough in my opinion
@BEASTIEBOY no worries i just take everything thing to heart ahhaha

Their products are so overpriced and the product is not worth it. All I ever buy from them now is cologne. A pair of leggings $89.00. Their bras are very uncomfortable and their panty's look old after 2 washes because of very low-quality fabric.
Size 8?? I'm 5 foot 8 and 130 and I'm a size 2. If barbra palvin is a size 8, no way she's only 121 pounds.

Emma Swan she is in the fashion industry not just vs
In the modeling world she is
Emma Swan no she’s a regular vs model, vs never labeled her as plus sized, it was some random Facebook post that said that and it got a lot of attention
Why tf do we actually need “plus size models” why can’t we just have models here they are 😀
Bob Ross right? Stop putting them in boxes
121 pounds is 54kg 😱 and she’s plus size. That must mean I’m plus size 🤷🏼♀️ wtf!
Oh well.
Jen Jen yeah, her and Victoria’s Secret never said she was, it was some random Facebook post that got a lot of attention and a complete lie
Honey, getting a body like that isn't unrealistic & kendall ain't an angel. 🙄

They are called VS ANGELS for a reason, they look like ANGELS, they possess an ethereal physical beauty and magnetism that most people dont have. Im so tired of people projecting their insecurities, dont look at something that you know will trigger you. Not everyone is designed for everything.
