Our conductor couldn't be there, and I was the least horrible musician of the bunch, so I replaced her. We had prepared something for a party with some friends. Around 150 people, counting the singers and the audience.
I stood in front of everyone and just... froze. The choir conducted itself while I awkwardly stood there, unable to do anything whatsoever. They got lost and sang out of tune ; at one point, the alti just stopped singing altogether. Everyone politely clapped at the end because they were nice friends but I sat down absolutely traumatized. A total disaster. 😂

I'd argue Bach sonata g minor isn't more suitable for kids, if compared to the Boccherini piece. Besides, some of the kids made good and yet simple points as to why they preferred one over the other. The kids themselves are learning to play the violin, so I'd assume they picked the one they thought sounded the best. I think Eddy clearly won the first round, and edged the second. Brett easily won the last round though.

(this is just my thoughts) one thing i noticed particularly in eddy is how fluid his vibrato can be. very tight and very loose based on the mood of the piece. his musicality is also excellent, you can see him feeling the rhythm while also shaping the sound through his movement and with his bow. brett is more still, but is a very clear player. he plays every note with drive and purpose and it leaves that sitting feeling after he plays. i also notice that brett has very nice transitions of sound. when playing bach, he didnt just barrell into the double stops, it was light and airy and felt very natural, which reflects good control of the bow (and also shapes the sound very nicely)
    great job guys! :)
