I also believe that you can still customize the wooting with diff cases, keycaps, change the stabs, it’s “hotswap” and also I think that you can change the springs, but not the stem since the magnet is inside the stem of the switch. You can do lots with industry leading tech.

Also personally, from using a GMMK pro, the knob is very useless and mostly there for aesthetics purposes. You can just set a key to turn down volume or just turn down volume on my headset instead.

@@imboomzy they basically did a kickstarter first, so by waiting he is getting a huge discount on the keyboard I think it was $30 cheaper to pre-order it. The Wooting guys have always planned to keep the keyboard in stock, so other than supply chain issues or insane demand, normal people should be able to buy it directly from Wooting sometime within the next year. By comparison there is one other hall effect keyboard project called Input Club’s Keystone that announced and took preorders 3 years ago and it hasn’t been produced yet. The pandemic really screwed up lots of companies, the price of components going through the roof due to lack of supply. Wooting said their microcontroller went up to $100, obviously it would be impossible for them to make a keyboard if just one part cost $100. They moved to a new microcontroller and are rewriting their code for it. The wooting guys are really great, they are refreshingly transparent with updates, telling exactly whats happened, everytime there has been a hiccup, as well as even telling people when they finally became stable enough as a company to finally start paying theirselves. Wooting is definitely a company worth supporting, and it doesn’t hurt that they also make a good product.
From what I’ve heard they only have the lighter springs available as themselves and you have to open your switches and swap out the springs yourselves. I have asked them about producing switches with the lighter springs but they said they don’t have plans for that rn.
Since they are halleffect the switches should be very easy to open and changed the springs yourself since the keys aren’t soldered to the board. They are only providing the springs to make people happy because hall effect keyboards need to use a special non magnetic spring. So modders can’t easily get their hands on lighter springs for the wooting. In reality, Wootings heavier springs are ideal for 99% of users. The heavier springs are necessary to allow for the analog feature of the switches. The heavier springs really don’t hurt competitive gamers because of adjustable actuation point and rapid trigger. The heavier weight also helps prevent misclicks when running a low actuation point.
I assume they could have done testing and thought 60g was the best, but heavier springs are not needed for the Hall effect switches to function. The apex pro mini proves that. You could argue that its necessary to minimize miss clicks, but you’ll get used to it. If you want something heavier stay away from a “gaming” keyboard. Who knows the competitive impact of 60g vs 45g springs, but I’d want 45g for peace of mind lol. I’ve tried 35g and 68g switches and I’d say a range of 40-50 is best for a competitive keyboard.
@@FearlessP4P1 The Apex Pro Mini doesn't prove anything, that keyboard doesn't have analog functionality. Also, the spring weight is misleading. Yes its 60g to bottom out the switch but the actuation point isn't at the bottom of the switch. There are many different spring designs and depending on the manufacturer they will operate differently, a 60g spring might only take 10g of force to depress a key 1mm, and a 40g spring might take 15g to depress 1mm. In that hypothetical scenario, the 60g spring is better competitively if the actuation point is set to 1mm. Spring typically are easy to depress at the top and get harder to press the more compressed they get. The only potential negative you could derive from the spring weight is if you think that 60g would be fatiguing from bottoming out the keys. However one could also argue that over time the heavier bottom out will strengthen you fingers and improve the speed it takes for you to hit the actuation point and the rate of fatigue will equalize when you body gets used to it and builds some muscle. You could also argue that with rapid trigger that the user should learn to stop bottoming out every key. I assume you weren't talking about fatigue though, and just about light springs being faster and more accurate feeling.
When it comes down to the springs it’s all personal preference. I personally like to feel like I’m hitting the key when I’m playing a game like fortnite. With the apex pro tkl I was having issues wondering if I even hit the key when I would die

@@WARnTEA .. I play competitive CoD buddy for over a decade. Apparently your game doesn't use F keys. However, CoD uses them big time, add to that Nvidia recording, saving and settings. A 60% would be completely useless. All 75% does is add another row above the numbers.
@@nyghtmxre .. Every Call of Duty player that I know that has a 60% ends up either returning it or getting another keyboard to replace it. Are you 12 or something? RE: _LMFAO??!!_
@@DJaquithFL I’ve played cod since cod4, not once have I needed a function key lmao
This is a really wholesome product but as a third party country is hard to get this since our salary here is 5 or 4 times smaller ...
i would do DISGUSTING things for a wooting 2 tkl with the updated lekker switches, the 60he looks so sick but i’m kinda bored of the 60% layout after a year and a half with the ducky one 2 mini
It sucks that Steelseries software isn’t good enough yet, but the Apex Pro might be worth looking into. Its a tkl with a volume knob and an oled screen, it has hall effect switches with adjustable actuation point. The only negative is no analog (which most games don’t support anyway), and no Rapid Trigger.
@@WARnTEA yeah im thinking about buying an apex pro tkl but wooting just seems sooo sick with some of their features + im supporting a smaller more passionate company rather than a meh tech giant like steelseries. apex pro tkl looks like itll get me like 95% of the way there tho so ill prob buy one and if the fateful day comes where wooting make an updated tkl ill sell it or something.
I LOVE THAT BLESSED MOUSE!!
i actually would prefer a version with the arrow keys on it
@@imboomzy 65%
I said this until I got mine - ModTap is a feature that allows you to put two functions on one key (tap or Hold) - My arrow keys are on 'tap' right shift, function, ctrl and menu where holding them causes them to act as their normal keys
the wooting is an insane keyboard in every aspect but my soy fingers cant stand the heavier spring weight. i think i need to touch some grass brb
They do sell lighter springs
Legend reviewing legend
please turn off auto focus on your camera and in post editing please change some of the color/shadow and saturation values to be a little darker/brighter and more vibrant
“I’m not going to change the case” does the Blade 60 ring a bell?
'Whoever’s reading this I pray that whatever your struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day!
i predicted the whole video, wow
Rapid trigger is gonna be useful in fortnite when u have confirm edit on release off
good point
ANOTHER BASED REVIEW FROM THE LEGEND HIMSELF
I'd like to see a low profile lekker switch
How do you make money to afford all of the mice and keyboards you have?
He legit said the wooting 60he was sent out to him for review.
he still buys new mice every week or does he not?
@@nailer5350 I don't keep up with him, but I believe by law he has to state if a company sent him a product for review. Buying computer peripherals is his content, so if he's buying a mouse for $80 than that's his budget for a video. He probably makes that money back via ad revune from UA-cam and then some afterwards. If he didn't buy computer peripherals then there would be no content to generate income.
@@Red.exe7 ok thanks for filling me in
Boardzy do you have problems with your focal clears creaking?
Hey found technoblade in another world but instead of playing minecraft his playing fortnite and his alive so NOT EVEN CLOSE BABY BOARDZY NEVER DIES.
Ngl, being able to swap cases kinda sealed the deal for me. Choice is good.
boardzy, can u review steelseries prime neo noir mouse plz🥺🥺
But the Wooting for fortnite should be 10 times better cuz you can set your building keys all on one key with the dynamic keystrokes…..
This man sounds like a yt named Vince Cuh
So can you use them on games like forza to adjust how much the wheels turn depending on how hard you press the keys
i just got my saturn today, its not laying flat
now it's time to wine like a 2 year old until you make a Saturn Pro mousepad review
I kinda disagree that rapid trigger isnt used in fortnite because ofc u gotta edit fast and it may be useful there
I don't play Fortnite, but wouldn't it be really good for building?
now you're gonna be happy with steelseries boardzy
why what happened
0.1mm with rapid trigger@@r4nowo
the update for the apex pro@@r4nowo
Can't even buy the full size version till March 2023 in the UK.
£35 import tax as well, rip
@@Glories999how do you see the import tax?
It’s so weird but when you put ur mic to close to the wooting it makes a beep tone 4:45 I had to change me mic position because of this
What monitor arm do you have?
Doesn’t 60 grams feel too heavy for fn the switch weight and the looks truns me of soo i am gonna stick with the apex pro
It’s 60grams to bottom it out. It actuates with less force. Like I said it’s just a bit heavier feeling in game, but there’s nothing wrong with staying on the apex pro
For me not at all but it’s kind of a personal thing I guess
They have a 30g spring addon at checkout which is lighter than steelseries. If anyone has had the OG Razer Huntsman TE V1 that has 40g springs it feels similar to that. Apex pro is 45g in comparison which is the standard actuation force for cherry reds as well
Counting down until boardzycon
Does the wooting keyboard charge you right when u make the purchase? or does it charge you when the board is actually being shipped to you?
When you pre order
awesome video, but would rapid trigger help with faster edits with edit on release off in fortnite? if you think about it, makes sense
Review black shark mako m1 please
Okay So question
What would happen if I bought a bunch of Lecker switches, and installed them into a hot swap board?
I was also able to snag a BNIB Apex Pro Mini Wireless for $100 from a Tech Industry worker who reviews products Haha.
For $100, absolute steal.
I would have purchased the Wooting but don’t want to wait until September :(
Has anyone found a way to use this with Halo MCC?
lgg mercury mousepad review when?
I don’t have another hien clone review in me
@@boardzy understandable, can you recommend the lgg mercury as a very comparable hien clone? part of the reason im looking at the mercury is that ive heard its a very high quality hien clone and i can get it in larger sizes like the 1000mm by 500mm. also is the mercury faster or slower than hien (mid)?
Weird comment but I'm only liking this video to save the links
is that the Saturn pro?
do you have a new Camara the Quality is fire
Yes
Its really good for fnf spam songs on 0.1 mm
are they releasing a tkl version soon
Not soon. Right now they are switching microcontrollers over to ARM and are rewritting all of their code for it., they gave 60he buyers the choice of getting their keyboard now or waiting for the ARM version. They predict that their code should be ready sometime by the end of the year. The reason they are switching is that they can’t get supply of the old microcontroller and the prices have gone way up due to the pandemic.
So a TKL version is at least a year away. I assume they will release a TKL version eventually since their first keyboard was TKL.
6:42 OK that's super useful actually
Can anyone help me? The apex pro mini is 10k inr in India more than the Wooting but idk which to get. Idc about shipping time btw
Bro made his pfp realistic technoblade
Hey Boardzy I want to get an artisan hien but maxgaming EU only has mid and xsoft in stock which would u reccommend or would i be better holding out to see if they eventually restock a soft I play fingertip thanks.
Xsoft if you want some squish, mid if you want a firm faster pad
The apex pro is 150 on Amazon rn so considering it’s cheaper should I get the apex pro or the wooting
I have apex pro mini wireless and have been using it for more than 2 years, no complaints hands down best keyboard. I have maybe played more than 1,000 hours of games with the apex pro mini wireless
i want something liek a 75 percent or a tkl
How much?
we need tkl version
