For those in transit, there are short tours such as the City Sights Tour, Heritage Tour and Jewel Tour, the newest addition is the Changi Precinct Tour, which includes stops at Tampines New Town and at Tampines Central Park.
This is useful info; thanks. I have a 36 hour layover enroute Brisbane to Dublin but the transit hotel only allows a maximum of 24 hours when booking online. I'm wondering about simply changing from one hotel to another for the second night. Or maybe I simply need to make two separate bookings in the same hotel? Do you happen to know how easy it is to get from one terminal to another? It seems each terminal has its dedicated transit hotels. I've tried contacting my airline for assistance but haven't fared well so far.
For a 36 hour layover you definitely want to leave the airport and go into Singapore for the night. I don't believe you are allowed to stay in transit within the airport for longer than 24 hours (not just the transit hotel rules, but the whole airport). Take the opportunity to see a bit of Singapore. If you don't want to go into the city, you could also stay at the Crown Plaza at the airport. You will need to clear immigration. There is also the Yotel in The Jewel (shopping mall) at the airport, but for 36 hours I would recommend the Crown Plaza Changi.
@@cruisingandsnoozing1479 actually, I did receive a reply from one of the airport hotels offering a reservation for a solo room for 38 hours, but with a shared bathroom and a pretty hefty rate.....so am taking your advice and heading land side.
For 36 hours layover at Changi Airport, you can get a free tour of Singapore organised by Changi Airport and you need to register first. You can either stay at Yotel and explore Jewel and Changi Airport has a lot to offer than just a airport.

Is it payable? Is this applicable for particular passport holders?
We stayed there last year both to and back from Japan
Are transit lounge flexible or they allow inside only 3 hours before departure?
I've stayed here but for 8 hours I'd stay at the Crowne Plaza
