A deep, meaningful, emotional and informative vlog from an airport. Good skills. Singapore is the only airport I have ever prayed for a delay at .. Safe travels..
Watching you grow into your new self has been amazing, Fibi-err-Phoebe. 😂 I went back and watched your Jewel video from last Nov. You’re right when you say your level of confidence now is through the roof. You are so clearly more comfortable-no-happier-yeah, happy in this new life. Your smile is brighter and your eyes are now so full of life and joy. I say this in deep admiration-we only know a part of what you’ve been through recently, but we’ve all been “there” when life gets hard and dark. You getting through the darkness and into this bright light is inspiring. In last year’s video, you kept the camera close to you, like you were trying to not be seen. Now…heck, you’re so relaxed and pulled back. Inclusive of the world around you. I suspect a little girl staring at you last year woulda resulted in you moving. But now, she’s a part of the story. And, HOW COOL to run into a fan and friend like Ben?!? Awesome! All our best in your continued journeys. Can’t wait to see more of Japan with your friend James. And can’t wait to see how much better your life is going to continue to get, now that you’re on the right path for your heart and soul. Rob PS: thank you so much for explaining Jewel better. I think I understood how it worked from your prior video, but this one made it crystal clear. And sure made it look like a great excuse to intentionally make a long layover! I personally prefer layovers that become a part of the journey, rather than an obstacle and you made it that! Well done and thanks! (Hope we see the hat in future videos!)
I can’t tell you how much that means Rob 🥹🫶🏻 thank you for seeing the growth and expansion in me! It’s been an incredible journey so far and it’s not stopping any time soon 😍

You're one of my favourite travel vloggers because you put such a human touch to your videos and seeing your vulnerability and sharing about your ups and downs and your growth makes it soo relatable!!! You just always put a smile to my face and seeing you conquer your fears and stepping into your own even more, inspires me as well in my own life to do the same!!

Definitely a layover done right! You for sure will be relaxed and ready for your next flight. Glad that you can reflect back on the last time you were at the Jewel and feel a sense of happiness & positivity! ❤
We are staying at the Crowne Plaza for one night in March. We arrive at 5:00 pm from Phuket and leave at 10:00 am for San Francisco. I hope we have enough time to see Jewel and do a bit of exploring.
Hi Fibi, great to see Changi on your eyes again. It is one of the best and no alternative till now perhaps. last month i went to Malaysia through Changi just to be there and spend some good times with my travel partners (Family). I have been there couple of times though, but this time a complete new feelings since my family was with me specially my 7 years old daughter. A layover of many hours wont even bore you anyhow. Love the ambience always.
I've been through Singapore several times and always try for a LONG layover at Singapore Changi Airport! LOTS to do and see and, now that COVID's abated, I believe they're offering the free City and Airport Tours again. One thing that most YT "Influencers" haven't discovered is that the Crowne Royal, while initially more expensive, is a FAR better deal than the smaller-roomed, oft-windowless Transit hotels like Yotel or Aerotel. While room rates at these facilities are cheaper, others often forget stays are limited to six hours and, after that, the prices increase exponentially and often exceed the standard room rate at the Crowne. One other caveat. Both Yotel and Aerotel are "airside/transit," so INSIDE the security perimeter. One can't simply walk in and out!. SO, ones ability to visit attractions like Jewel are hampered by rules regarding reentering the airport.
yes, i have been researching the airport hotels at Changi and came to a similar conclusion. Took a while to figure out that the Crown Plaza is landside, but when i realised that Jewel is landside too, and how close together the hotel and Jewel are, and reports of how smooth it is to pass through immigration and security (plus the Crown has bathtubs and that is a must for my break on my New Zealand to London journey), it became obvious which to choose. I am glad to read your confirmation of that :) ... how long do you usually stay for? I am looking at a connection of 16 hours but trying to find something even longer that doesn't actually break my ticketed journey in a way that makes me have to collect my baggage (as I am traveling with a lot of excess baggage and the fees will double if i do that)
Wow, i love your detailed information about changi airport, one of the most beautiful, thoughtful and relaxing airport in the world. I love singapore for it's safe, clean, well planned and user-friendly city. Though it's a bit expensive city for me as a malaysian, it's my favorite place to spend a few days at, if you know where to look for good bargains. The varieties of food and places of interest are heavenly and a super efficient public transportation are so convenient to go anyway. I first arrived in singapore in 1970, studied ad worked there for a few years, and i have been going back a few times each year for short holidays ever since. I have seen the amazing transformation of singapore since the 70s.

Singapore Airport is the best Airport I ever visited in my whole life! definitely will visit it again in the near future and have a stopover in the country!
Hi Thank you for this video..I am back in Singapore soon and missed out on the Jewel last time. I ❤ the moment you had re looking back over the past year... and it was special when you met Ben. You are a beautiful girl ...with a beautiful soul. Thanks again for sharing Dawn from the UK. And I am excited to see Jewl for myself with my hubbies..
Fibi, Changi was always my stopover to downunder and back. Unfortunately I've never been to Jewel even I stayed couple das in town itself. Anyway, felt always safe and have been guided by former singaporean workmates anyway. Nice and easy to explore the city itself. S'pore is on the top list of my favourit cities in the world. C'ya
Oh I haven't caught the light show in the Rain Vortex as I went there during the day. I'm also vlogging now my Singapore layover experience. Nice to see your vlog.
Wow Phoebe. You had an excellent time at Changi Airport. Last week I got off a SIA flight from Guangzhou and didn’t see the Jewel unfortunately 😞. But I was able to get a glimpse of the airport well.
I’ve only just come across your channel as I am prepping for my trip to Sri Lanka in 3 weeks and I couldn’t be happier. I’m going to the exact same places you have just visited and white water rafting is now on the itinerary. Will have to go through your previous videos for future travel suggestions. Living in Melbourne makes travel something that needs planning
It was so lovely to enjoy your videos Phoebe. I'm sure you had a super time in Sri Lanka and thank you so much for promoting SL to the world. Hope you'll be back. Adios ... enjoy all your journeys ahaed
This was a great video, i have been planning a flight from New Zealand to London via Singapore and planning to stay in the Crown Plaza, trying to book the longest possible connection i can without having to actually collect my bags (need to keep them all within one connection as i am migrating after 16 years of living in NZ, and will have quite a bit of excess baggage so the fees will increase with a longer layover than just a transit connection). So... i thought i would search for a Changi video for fun and found yours!! So nice, i love your vibe! I want to get some good rest, have a bath, have a swim and spend a bunch of time in Jewel, and the gardens INSIDE the airport too like the butterfly garden. So far looks like I can only get 16 hours but trying to figure out more. I am curious how long you were there between flights? Did you book just one night (3pm - 12pm) in the hotel or did you get a 10am check in? It's pricey but soooo worth it, i stayed in the Dubai Airport hotel last time i traveled this journey and it was of immense value in surviving the journey.
Phoebe, I'm new to your channel, a Singaporean. I think you're cool and kind and positive. Stay healthy and well. ❤ Take breaks away from media when you want/need to, for "me time". Peace and joy!
This is the first time I have watched one of your videos, and I can totally relate to you. I am currently at the beginning of my YT journey, and I feel so scared and embarrassed talking to the camera. I hope one day I can be as confident and angelic, like you are today ❤

Hey Sweetie, it's really a pleasure to watch your beautiful travel videos. Keep up your lovely vibes forever, and be happy. My Loving Good wishes are always there ❤️ for you. 😊
Thank you so so much, that's so good to hear! Sometimes it's scary being so open but the more I do it, the more I realise I'm not the only one who feels these things :)
Hi Phoebe, i have a layover but like at 3.25AM untill 8 am. Do you know if the Jewel is open? I guess not the paid actractions, but like can you still walk around early in the morning in ' the mall' ? Thanks alot.
Hi! You might like to check the website to find out what time the rain vortex is running and just confirm this but I'd say you should have no trouble walking around the mall at those times.
Helpful video. Liked. Thanks. Question to Singapore Airport experts: I'd be landing via SQ from JFK - 21 HOUR layover. Don't know what Terminal I'll be landing in yet. In general - how much walking is there - to get to this hotel from within the airport? ALSO - the next day I'd be taking SQ to India..... is it fairly simple to get to the airplane gates when leaving this hotel/ Thanks. (on a side note...this is the woman who everybody around her is in love with but she probably doesn't know)
Was in Singapore about a month ago. Made it to Dragon Chamber for lunch. Amazing food! Went to jewel after checking out of the hotel. Checked in bags around midday at jewel and wandered around till the flight that night. The early check-in is fantastic! Didn't go into the Japanese market though. Have you checked out the Japanese stationary store there? Is it just me or is stationary addictive? 🤔 Hope to get back to Singapore mid next year. 🤞
Great video. I’ll be traveling and have a layover in Singapore airport. I heard so many great things about it. My 1) firts question would be How much is the hotel accommodation 2)how many hours is your layover 3) flying from the US, is there anything documents requirements I would appreciate all the information you can share. It’s been great watching this. Thanks
So would you say if we don't have a hotel stay, should we just park our luggage somewhere, then exit the airport ( enter singapore ) then proceed to the Jewel?
Couple of questions we have a 8 hours layover and want to go to the jewel. 1. What do you mean you have to hand over your passport? Do they keep it while you are in Singapore? And you get it back when you go back to the airport? 2. Do you need a sims card or there is wifi in the jewel and airport that you don’t need a sims card? 3. Also before you enter jewel is there somewhere you can put all you luggage?
No, they don’t keep your passport. ‘Hand over your passport’ means to hand it to the person at the customs/immigration desk who will let you into Singapore. As per normal, they review it, stamp it and you enter the country. No, you don’t need a SIM card. Yes, there are places to store luggage inside Jewel. However, if you’re on a layover with the same airline it’s likely your bags are checked all the way through in which case you wouldn’t collect them in Singapore anyway.
Hi first time stopping over at singapore. Does one pay to go into the Jewel where you were or only certain parts? Is the food courts there best affordable place to eat
It's free to enter Jewel, though there are paid attractions on the top floor! Yes, the food courts are likely to be the most affordable spots to eat :)
Your video of Singapore airport and Jewel makes me want to deliberately plan a long layover. So heart-warming to see you happy and smiling. You look gorgeous in your black dress 🥰
Hi! Phoebe. First time watching your vlog. Thank You for sharing such an interesting and well edited vlog👍🏻. Just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to your next posting. All The Best! going forward.
I've flown out of the west coast of the U.S., heading to southeast Asia, three times since November, '22 (last time, September, '23.) Every time I've booked flights with long layovers in Singapore. Like you, I get a room at Changi's Crowne Plaza, off Terminal 3. I've noticed several YT "Influencers" seem to head to the transit hotels, like Yotel, Aerotel, Ambassador, because they're significantly cheaper. Problem is, these places are set up for a six-hour stay and beyond that, the prices go up exponentially! Other problem is transit-friendly rooms are often only large enough to accommodate a bed, a bathroom and often have no windows. No thanks!
Well I have go through your Sri Lankan travel series and instagram stories it is quite interesting to see how world gone be in point of your view. Your explanation are really amazing. Thank you so much for visiting my beautiful island and looking forward to seen you again.
Great video. I’ll be traveling and have a layover in Singapore airport. I heard so many great things about it. My 1) firts question would be How much is the hotel accommodation 2)how many hours is your layover 3) flying from the US, is there anything documents requirements I would appreciate all the see as much as I can information you can share. Btw, my layover is 10 hours, I’m going to make sure to It’s been great watching this. T
This is so timely for me, thanks so much, Phoebe. I'd love your take on this - when flying to SIN with a 24 hour connection, would you have your bags checked through to the final destination or ask to collect and then re-check them in at early check in? A bit anxious about getting our luggage lost! We plan to check in to the Crowne Plaza. That would mean we need through baggage claim and customs first?
That's a tough one to answer! I wouldn't personally be worried about my luggage getting lost (I use airtags just in case) but the decision for me would come down to whether or not I need my stuff. Ideally, I'd just have some essentials in my carry-on and let them check my bags all the way through
I have watch many U T on this airport and I don’t remember any of them saying you have go thru to the country to go to Jewel. Thats why you see schools in uniform, they at the mall not the airport. Thanks for the information on the hotel.
You know what I think? I think you SEE and APPRECIATE the big AND small happy moments in life. For example, some wouldn’t get so happy for a talk or a Japanese snack etc. But you do and that is what brings you so much happier days ❤

Singapore Airport is the best Airport I ever visited in my whole life! definitely will visit it again in the near future and have a stopover in the country!
Thanks for watching! 🥰🙏🏼
Love a luxurious layover! Enjoy x
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼🥰
Fibi, Changi was always my stopover to downunder and back. Unfortunately I've never been to Jewel even I stayed couple das in town itself. Anyway, felt always safe and have been guided by former singaporean workmates anyway. Nice and easy to explore the city itself. S'pore is on the top list of my favourit cities in the world. C'ya
Oh wow! You’ll have to visit Jewel next time! 😻🫶🏻
Great tip on seeing Jewel at the beginning of the video. Thank you.
Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
Oh I haven't caught the light show in the Rain Vortex as I went there during the day. I'm also vlogging now my Singapore layover experience. Nice to see your vlog.
10:37 you have come a long way and its very addictive to hear you talk about your personal struggles...godspeed
Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
@@travelforphoebe u r welcome
Wow Phoebe. You had an excellent time at Changi Airport. Last week I got off a SIA flight from Guangzhou and didn’t see the Jewel unfortunately 😞. But I was able to get a glimpse of the airport well.
You can still see Jewel (partially - taking the skytrain from T2 to T3?) without leaving immigration.
Thanks for watching! 🥰🙏🏼 so glad you found my channel!!
It was so lovely to enjoy your videos Phoebe. I'm sure you had a super time in Sri Lanka and thank you so much for promoting SL to the world. Hope you'll be back. Adios ... enjoy all your journeys ahaed
Thank you so much!! 🥰🙏🏼
My daughter went through this airport yesterday- It is truly incredible.
Oh amazing!! It’s so beautiful! 😍
Phoebe, I'm new to your channel, a Singaporean. I think you're cool and kind and positive. Stay healthy and well. ❤ Take breaks away from media when you want/need to, for "me time". Peace and joy!
I believe you CAN actually see jewel via skytrain from T3 > T2 vice versa for transit.
I watched this video early this morning and really enjoyed it. It really hit the spot. Well done, Phoebe.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is the first time I have watched one of your videos, and I can totally relate to you. I am currently at the beginning of my YT journey, and I feel so scared and embarrassed talking to the camera. I hope one day I can be as confident and angelic, like you are today ❤
I’ve been through Singapore airport and haven’t seen any of this lol. And now I know why. I never left the airport. Thanks for the tip :)
Hahaha it’s so confusing huh! I remember running around inside the airport trying to find it and couldn’t work out why I wasn’t seeing it!
Fibi 😂😂 trying to explain how Jewel is in the airport but not in the airport, is my favourite thing and also that Hotel guurl !! 🥺🥺, also just happy to see happy, confident phoebe, I feel like she's always been there and has finally come out 💜🌺
😂 I feel like I’m never explaining it right! It hurts Fibi’s brain!
Hope to welcome you for more than a layover next time! 😍
You know I can’t stay away 😍 SG is my second home!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for the video. I will be there in 2 months. Super Excited!😀
Have a great trip!

Thank you so so much, that's so good to hear! Sometimes it's scary being so open but the more I do it, the more I realise I'm not the only one who feels these things :)
Thanks for this video, flying there in Nov , 12 hrs overlay .
Have a great trip! 🙏🏼
Support Fibi!! 🎉🎉 cheers from all your subscribers here in Singapore! 😊😊
Support Fibi 😂😍🫶🏻
Thanks for your Video!!😍 I’m traveling to Srilanka from US in the same route with a long layover in Singapore!!
Safe travels!
(on a side note...this is the woman who everybody around her is in love with but she probably doesn't know)
How good did that afternoon tea look and you look stunning in the black dress!
You’re so kind! Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
Soooo glad you went to Dragon Chamber!! No I haven’t been to the stationary store yet 😻
Off to Australia soon. Staying in Singapore for two days on way out. 5 hours layover on way back Jewel is on the Ricky box list.
Hope you have a great time! 🙏🏼😊
Great video. I’ll be traveling and have a layover in Singapore airport. I heard so many great things about it. My 1) firts question would be
How much is the hotel accommodation
2)how many hours is your layover
3) flying from the US, is there anything documents requirements
I would appreciate all the information you can share.
It’s been great watching this. Thanks
Would you recommend actually staying one night at crowne plaza to see Jewel and then flying out the next day ?
Yes that’s a GREAT idea! 💡
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings. It is truly a blessing.
Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
Thanks for another wonderful and informative video.
Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
Did you do the early check in for the crowne plaza hotel because in future i plan to come singapore and get my room early check in?
So would you say if we don't have a hotel stay, should we just park our luggage somewhere, then exit the airport ( enter singapore ) then proceed to the Jewel?
Happy Travels Phoebe 🤗💖
Thank you! 🤗
Hi! Visited Singapore airport about 20 years ago for a short period to Malaysia. Great to see more this time. 🙂. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
I love your videos. Watching at home in Australia, I look forward to my first solo single travel adventure in January.
Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
How long was your layover exactly please?
Love this! Actually going this Jan 2024 and planning to dedicate one day to explore just jewel alone 😅
Welcome home!
Thank you 😊🥰
Hi first time stopping over at singapore. Does one pay to go into the Jewel where you were or only certain parts? Is the food courts there best affordable place to eat
It's free to enter Jewel, though there are paid attractions on the top floor! Yes, the food courts are likely to be the most affordable spots to eat :)
I feel ya , girl…the only difference is I didn’t come to the realization till I turned 40 🤭 & I am finally doing what I love ❤️
Your video of Singapore airport and Jewel makes me want to deliberately plan a long layover. So heart-warming to see you happy and smiling. You look gorgeous in your black dress 🥰
Hahaha that’s a very good idea! Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
Hi! Phoebe. First time watching your vlog. Thank You for sharing such an interesting and well edited vlog👍🏻. Just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to your next posting. All The Best! going forward.
Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
Very enjoyable video. FYI the B rolls look great😊
I've flown out of the west coast of the U.S., heading to southeast Asia, three times since November, '22 (last time, September, '23.) Every time I've booked flights with long layovers in Singapore. No thanks!
Crowne Plaza is my favourite for sure!! Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
Well I have go through your Sri Lankan travel series and instagram stories it is quite interesting to see how world gone be in point of your view. Your explanation are really amazing. Thank you so much for visiting my beautiful island and looking forward to seen you again.
Thanks for watching 🥰🙏🏼
Great video. I’ll be traveling and have a layover in Singapore airport. I heard so many great things about it. My 1) firts question would be
How much is the hotel accommodation
2)how many hours is your layover
3) flying from the US, is there anything documents requirements
I would appreciate all the see as much as I can
information you can share.
Btw, my layover is 10 hours, I’m going to make sure to
It’s been great watching this.
Ideally, I'd just have some essentials in my carry-on and let them check my bags all the way through
Hi Phoebe, i enjoyed watching your video. Enjoy the rest of your trip.🤗✌
Thank you! 🤗
@@travelforphoebe You're welcome👍
What's crazy is that they are building the 5th Terminal and from i know, it's bigger than all the 4 combined!
I have watch many U T on this airport and I don’t remember any of them saying you have go thru to the country to go to Jewel. Thats why you see schools in uniform, they at the mall not the airport. Thanks for the information on the hotel.
Glad this video had some good, relevant info! :)
Great vedio Fibi 😂😂. Can't wait to watch your next adventure. TC my dear ❤

Phoebe:Thanks you so much for visiting Singapore city, Singapore 6 months ago last year in 2023❤❤❤
I have 30 hrs. 1700 to 0015 next day. Should be enough to get hop on hop off bus into Singapore
I agree with you.
You know what I think? I think you SEE and APPRECIATE the big AND small happy moments in life. For example, some wouldn’t get so happy for a talk or a Japanese snack etc. But you do and that is what brings you so much happier days ❤
Oh that is just so lovely of you :) Thank you! P xx
Are you based in Australia or UK
I’m not based anywhere anymore ♥️

how much is the cost for a night at the crowne plaza? Thank you for your video.
I don’t include hotel rates or quote them as they fluctuate depending on day or time of year 😌 there’s a link in the video description if you’d like to check rates 🫶🏻
