It's Eliza Marshall, responsible for making all of us cry over For Riddles, For Wonders and many other Sumeru masterpieces. Edit : I just checked, Arjun Verma also performed for For Riddles, For Wonders. What a great reunion.
Ring of the Sky is a masterpiece of wordless storytelling. Profoundly evocative. My favorite piece of the album. I can always count on it for a good cry.
To able to hear bansuri, sitar again after sumeru and in a Yu- peng Chen album ❤ I didn't expect him to use these instrument which are quite uncommon outside Indian subcontinent Also ❤ to Arjun and Eliza
Ring Of The Sky is my most favorite piece of the album. I knew how sentimental, moving and awe inspiring Ring Of The Sky was that I was in near tears. I wasn't surprised to hear it had a romantic backstory to the narrative as it suits quite well. Now hearing/seeing how much love and care was put in by everyone had me falling in love with the piece so much more and moved to tears again.
I've lost count of how many times I listen to FANTASYLAND, usually listen to em at 12 a.m while doing my personal works for extra focus and emotional touch. Ring of the Sky is one of the most nostalgic tracks I heard in this album, so emotionally driven and heartwarming. Such an amazing job to everyone who takes part in the production of this track, and such a marvelous work from Mr. Chen.
One beautiful and peaceful piece Bansuri and Sita sound like coming from unreal and beautiful world, this place is called Fantasyland. They make me think of the movie “Life of PI”,Indian elements, also a fantasy feeling. But this piece just uses the sound to make me feel the fantasy world, no pictures, awesome. That’s why I love Yu-Peng Chen’s music,he always uses different traditional instruments in the world, theses ancient sound can touch the soul of human. So we can be moved and crying by Yu-Peng Chen’s music. He can create the amazing imagination of space, picture and story through his music.Masterpiece ~ I have to say you've got the perfect blend of world music! Btw 2 years ago I ever listened “激扬的韧战”literally more than 100 times, although I don’t play any video game. Love your music ❤
Does anyone know if the orchestral sheet music for any of these pieces will be released for purchase at any point in the future? As a composition major I know I'd love to study all of these pieces and implement some of Yu-Peng Chen's ideas into my own writing!
