Hi Jack and AJ ! Did you try getting ladybugs for your garden or neem oil ? I have had great success using them (they eat aphids) good job with the watermelons considering everything wants to eat them , good luck buddy!

Considering that you have had very hot weather you have grown very large pumpkin and water melon. Well done. Oh and you have fed a lot of aphids.
Hope you get a prize winner pumpkin, thats a big watermelon, I grew watermelons this year and a critter started pecking at it so I picked it and it weighed 20 pounds and tasted ok , still needed to grow some more.

Jack, good to see you back. I knew you would bounce back from the TikTok fiasco because you can't keep a good man down. And no need to apologize about the aphids. They are one of the toughest pests to control in any garden. By the time you see them, there isn't much you can do. They can multiply super rapidly. Did you know that they are even born pregnant? No kidding! You have done a great job in your garden even though the weather, insects, weeds and diseases fought you all the way. Be proud of a job well done and it is great that you're teaching AJ along the way. Keep up the good work and let's hope Goliath hits 500 by weigh off time.

Hey Jack. Have your Dad order a mess of ladybugs. If you can get them quick, the ladybugs will eat the aphids.

Hey Jack, I've never grown watermelons before but I do know about aphids and weeds. First aphids only attack dying or sick plants, for next season I would recommend decomposing granite or straight lava rock as your potting mix as long as they keep getting water you will have better success. Secondly, the only reason why weeds are growing in the first place is because the weeds are putting nutrients that your soil is deficient in back into the ground! And lastly your doing a great job keep it up!
Hello 👋 Have you tried introducing a host plant for inside your garden? A plant Aphid’s love in your zone that they can feed on. 🤷♀️

What have you done differently or learned this season on your watermelon and especially on growing Goliath so far this season that you think got you to have such success so far? Jack, they say if you feed your pumpkins milk they will grow very very big. Try it some time, saw a pumpkin that was feed with milk and it was huge needed a fork left to pick it up.

Hi Jack. Do you have access to ladybugs? They will eat your aphids. They have to be released at night, so they will stay put.

Awesome
Jack spray your plants with seaweed, fish emulsion, and molasses as a foliar feed. You can do this as many times a week as you want. And lastly for the aphids spray warm sugar water on your plants to attract ladybugs
You can use the foliar spray on your pumpkins and watermelons with molasses and sugar water and that will give extra nutrients to your pumpkins and watermelons and make them taste better
You can spray as many times as you want and/or delude in water and water your plants directly. If your going to water directly just do it like once a week but since you have a fish pond you can use the fish emulsion water every day

U are so good to your brother...I love seeing that.
The foliar spray that I use on all my plants you can either water each plant with molasses, seaweed extract, and fish emulsion and/or just spray directly onto the leaves. Plants are partly made out of sugars so if you spray sugar & warm water onto your leaves that are infested with aphids the lady bugs will come and take care of the aphids for you!
Thats the wombo combo fish emulsion, sea weed, and molasses. I would use a little over a table spoon of each each week
