The Reaper is 2 million Scoville units. A jalapeño is 2000-5000 Scoville units. Ed Currie developed the Reaper & has a new one, “Pepper X”, that can be even hotter at over 3 million Scoville units. The heat depends on the individual plants and peppers. Check out the UA-cam reactions of Chili Klaus and his friend when they try the Reaper and X. Kind regards. :0)
