This is my tutorial on how to OTO a CV UTAU voicebank. I hope this UTAU Tutorial wasn't too complicated and was hopefully simple and easy. I decided to do this tutorial as +Ai Shakurai said it would be a great thing to do a tutorial on! I really hope this was useful and didn't waste anyone's time!!

My "s", "z", "m" and "n" sounds were sounding so unnatural until i found this video
you helped me so much. i spent forever oto-ing my samples only to find out that i had used the pink at the beginning and not the purple. looks like i have to go back and re-do this all over again.
i also had to record my samples twice.. ^^"
Yess finally i know how to make my VB sound more normal....when i tried to make an UTAU cover the VB i was using sound so wierd...like it was stuck into a washing mashine or drowning....

thank you for this! it seems that i was oto-ing incorrectly, which explains a lot of mishaps i was facing with notes crossfading the wrong way.

my non oto'd utau wont even sing at all, and I wanted to use minnemi's thing she used for her jinriki sonic utau (no oto'ing but it sounded oto'd) help.
would the recomend the wav files to be in hirigana or romanji? (sorry if i spelt them incorrectly)
+Arisu 0w0 it's up to you! If you want to set an alias in the settings, you can make them romaji then add an "alias" in voice bank settings so that if someone types it in hiragana, it'll also still sing it. (This works either way)

Actually, this is not how you oto. You are cutting out the consonant this way. you also put the preutterance far into the vowel, now how does that make sense? ^-^ I've seen you mention CZ before, yet you don't seem to have watched her tutorials. She explains how to oto most things in her VCCV EN OTO tutorial which helps a lot with any voicebank

It's fine if you like no consonants. I've heard your utau. It sounds like how I used to oto my utau, Kara Kokone. It doesn't sound as good as you think >< It's ok, I thought it was good at 1st too. Do you want me to teach you how to oto? It'll help get good tutorials out there and you have a good voice for explaining ^-^

Yes, but I do not use it anymore. I use Google Hangouts now. Easier to use for me. Is that ok?

when i imput the note i cant hear anything. and its NOT locale. my locale is set to japan. it wont sing AT ALL. i tryed otoing. imputting over and over again. i may delete utau for good since it isnt working. and lemmie say no voicebank works on utau for me. only kasane teto's english does but thats becase it has a imputer
oto [shi] is wrong.. [pre] always behind the Overlap,the distance of leftblank and Overlap crative the envelope with the front note...
[pre] always means [where the vowel begin] , in theory...[pre] always set between the consonant and vowle....such as [shi],[pre] always set at the end of[sh] and the begin of [i]
distance of [pre] and Overlap is a dead distance, I mean...it can not crative the envelope with the front note... it will cut a little bit of front note to make sure this distance can pronouce completely...

@@btsramen You should place the preutterance bar (the green one) in between the part where (sh) and (i) are pronounced, so where (sh) goes over into (i). atleast I think that' s what they mean xDDDD
