    I did my driver side glow plugs today. Not because they are easier but because that's just where I started. This is the first video I've seen on the passenger side. Not too bad. I'll dig into it next weekend.
    Good video. Thanks for sharing.

      The passenger side is a little harder than the driver side. So I figured if I show the passenger side the driver side would self-explanatory lol. Glad I could help and thank you for watching

      There really is no reason to remove the ac unit. That valve cover comes right out with a little finesse

    We just did valve cover gaskets last week, my friend a Ford mechanic did the passenger side . He removed the cover without removing the AC compressor.
    If you remove the oil fill pipe . I did the driver side which had already had the under cover harness zip tied. But we noticed the passenger side plug was loose in the gasket. We also replaced the glow plugs while it was apart. 185K on my 2001.

    ?, I just bought a 2000 f350 and the previous owner believes it was a valve cover blow out, does leak and puts down 20 to 30 drops of oil when I turn it off. Runs really good, no loss of pressure , starts right up with 271k miles on it. could there be a bigger problem im not seeing, will get the engine cleaned this weekend.

    • @CountryMileGarage
      @CountryMileGarage  5 місяців тому +1

      It can be the valve cover gaskets. Double check and make sure the bolts are in or tight closed to the firewall. I see a lot of people not putting them in or tightening them up. But yes start with cleaning it'll make it easier to find the leak ... thank you for watching

      Some old guy has a video of him doing it while leaving the ac in. But he says you have to push back and up at and angle to bypass it.
      Im doing this today and will try without if it doesn't fight me too much.

      @@CountryMileGarage I've done a half dozen or so and never taken or heard of taking the AC compressor off. Of course I do take off the oil tube on top, which just easily unscrews. Lets you maneuver the cover around a little more.

      Thanks for replying! I've got one of those ratchets but the stuff has to be broke loose first. Just finding it hard to keep the socket on with the ujoint while applying pressure to loosen 😅. Would be so much easier if my battery ratchet would get it done. I took a break from it and worked on some other stuff.

      @@cdrum0032 what I normally do is use a relay bypass with a on/off switch on top and put in at the AC clutch relay turn it on and that'll tell you if that circuit is good or not. If that works as it should I unplug the high pressure sensor at the dryer and jump the plug with a wire if the system works the pressure sensor is bad. If not you need to check and see if you get a signal from the cab to the AC clutch relay. Hope this helps
