Strawberry Fields Cafe Run and John has a shocking phone call
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- In this episode we have a ride to a new Cafe to us near York on the A19 called the Strawberry Fields Cafe. A regular bikers cafe apparently that we have not yet used. We also have a load of banter as per usual and I show the work that has been done on my seat alterations as in recovered and gel pad insert fitted.
While at the Cafe we also pay a visit to the Lodge Cottage Farm Shop next door.
Also John receives a phone call with shocking unbelievable news which makes us have a little detour at the end to actually witness the surprising content of the call.

Pleased you enjoyed it Matt it does kinda blow you away doesn't it.
Aup Steve
Me and the wife are going to Switzerland in 2 weeks stopping on the same site as you did .
Did you have electric on your pitch for your gear ?
Also I would love to jump on one of your rides if possible I'm based in worksop Nottinghamshire what you do is right up my street your videos are brilliant and is what my bike riding is all about .
Kind regards
Carl
Carl you are in for the trip of a lifetime my friend Switzerland was the best tour I have ever done, we didn't have electric hook up on the campsite fella. Have an amazing tour and let me know what you thought of it when back. Ride safe.
Hi Steve Mal in Aus here Nice to see you out and about enjoying the sunshine , I know your saying you wish you had ours ,well here in Victoria it's on 7 deg c and it's not officially winter yet
I hope you manage to get back to Hagworthingham but I'm afraid my cousin is not very well so she might not see you at the coffee shop . Nice foal your mate has . Take care ride safe Mal in Australia
Hi Mal always nice to hear from you, thats cold mate and we aren't going out to hagworthingham for a while as the surrounding roads have been resurfaced and loose chippings are all over the place. Hope your cousin gets better soon my friend. Stay safe.
As Lincolnshire bikers we've just come across your channel - great videos thus far. Where did you get the seat refurbished, please?
Hi there fellow lincs bikers the seat was done by a company called Retro Refits in Scunthorpe. They can be found on Facebook my friend.
Hi Steve love the videos mate and the bike, mines on order. Trying to find out more about the bike spec , did you get my previous comments please, questions 24 hours ago. I eagerly wait your reply. Paul
So so sorry fella have been concentrating on all comments from this new video will look now at your other ones.
Re memory card- sounds like a bad area on the memory card. You need to format the card again, then fill it up with files (play them back), then you'll know if it's a permanent problem.
Thanks for that fella will try it, appreciate you taking the time to comment my friend.
Another brilliant video Steve, with another café ticked off your list. Stay sunny side up my friend. 👍
Thanks Alex this one was defo worth the visit my friend.
Nice farm shop. It was so inexpensive. I bet they didn't charge £25 for a (hessian- AKA sack) bag!
🤣 won't let John know what you said he's still hurting from bag price lol ride safe my friend.
Hi Steve
Great videos. Have you been to Penny garth cafe in Hawes, very popular meeting place for bikers.

Brilliant video as usual Steve I bet the pony is getting big what name have you called it? Is it bike related?
Massive surprise the new addition and he has grown considerably since this video. John's daughter named him and it's Milo my friend.
Was told the Road on left of Cafe is private and owner got fed up of cars and bikes riding down turning etc so came out with Shotgun not dure how true this is.
OMG Alan someone else told me it was the owner of the farm shop next door that was not happy and turned nasty and got the nickname 'veggie kray' 🤣
Gorgeous Pictures of the baby and momma horse ❤️

Lovely little video Steve, I live not too far from Strawberry fields cafe and occasionally stop there. My company removed the trees and replanted the junction at Crockyhill when they widened it a couple of years ago. What a lovely little pony.👍❤️

Enjoyed the video of your breakfast cafe run Steve 👍, by the way Rebecca’s cafe at Elvington is worth a stop I was there a week or so back for a nice bacon sarnie.

What a great ride and a lovely surprise, as a horse owner/ rider myself it was great to see the 'surprise' addition to the herd. Anti-Biker is a new term to me, but my goodness there are more and more of them out there these days.
Thanks Neil foal is doing really well now and he has been named Milo. thanks for watching my friend.
Good ride out Steve, Its amazing, that you find these lovely little cafe's within a couple of miles of your location. I might try the strawberry fields myself, that breakfast looked great. I am only up the road in Hull. Have fun and be safe.
Your probably closer than we are to it and yeah well worth a visit my friend. Ride Safe.
I live up in Cheshire and theres a farm shop near us known locally as the £50 shop cos thats the minimum you spend 😀 They did a TV Show called Grumpy Old men and one of them lived close to it so moaned about it on TV 😀
Re the Sd card corrupted file ... Happens when the camera turns off before the file has saved itself. Some cameras are fitted with a super capacitor to provide enough power to save a file when camera shuts down.
Nice one AHB thanks for that and the Sd card info that's interesting 👍
Good to watch you get out & about again, I enjoyed the trip - hope to put a few more miles on mine this year.
Ride safe gents
Cheers Phillip hope you get some miles in mate, ride safe
Little known fact Steve, I fit the kitchen in that windmill about 15 years ago. Probably had a new one since then. Anyway I digress, not done strawberry fields before & im always around that way. Gunna try it next weekend.👍
Well worth a try Si breakfast was spot on, perfect for a kitchen fitter 👍
i had a run to Fort William Steve, it maxed out at 19.c and the west coast was lovely as usual
Happy days Fred
Your going to end up with a figure like mine if you keep having them breakfasts Steve 😁great video some excellent roads pal 😎 👍
I know Gaz but I just get drawn to food that's bad for you 🤣😂 ride safe mate

Good Facebook page for cafes (iPhone app too)
Spot on map fella gives lots of options
Great video Steve, Strawberry Fields is a good cafe. One of these days I'm going to be famous by being passed by you or riding towards you.
Ha ha actually Tucker meeting more and more viewers as we get out and about which has been great, look forward to seeing you one day my friend.
It's been a while Steve
Welcome back
Cheers my friend good to be back.
Bubwith is pronounced bubbeth
Thanks for that Austin appreciate it. 👍
Into Gods own county, Yorkshire 😉
Oh yes Paul thanks for watching fella.
Lovely video, who would have thought there were so many biker cafes. Shame your camera messed up at 2:20 though, just as the road opened up, it pixelated, right around the Speedo 😂 Its nice to be able to plan a trip and know you can go, look forward to your Scotland tour for sure. I’m heading up to the Lake District in July.
Ha ha yeah don't know what happened it just started pixelating for some reason lol. Have a great trip in the lakes my friend.
hi steve pleased to see a video been a while
Cheers Franco appreciate that mate.
Cracking video as always Steve we enjoyed that👌. I started having problems on Powerdirector where a couple of files (not all) were saying "file format is not supported" so had to run them through a video converter, footage also from ghost XL, now using a different editing software with no problems. Never had any trouble with any DJI footage so wonder if it's a drift issue, although the original footage would play fine on the device video player. Don't know if this is related to your issue.
Keep up the good work 👍
Ian and Tracey 🏍🏍
Thanks for that input Ian appreciate you taking the time to comment my friend.Ride safe you two.
Great, No fantastic 🦄

Steve what a great video, thank you for posting.
Cheers Alistair appreciate that fella.
Really early mornings in the summer is the perfect time to be out Steve. Carol and I managed a 5.30am start last weekend, lovely empty roads.
You passed through Elvington where they do speed runs down the old airport runway. Last visited there with my now sadly deceased friend the Rev Paul Sinclair when he got his Guinness speed record for his Busa powered hearse from his motorcycle hearse company.
Nice breakfast run, great to try new places. Cheers and take care.
Cheers Richard and as we rode through Elvington John mentioned something about speed runs and was this the Elvington that had the runway there. So you have confirmed it is thanks. Ride safe you two.
@@Steve-Clark If you aer going through Elvington a good place to stop is the Yorkshire Air Museum, just off of the old runway. The old Naafi normally does a good meal and a lot to see in the museum.
Thanks Jim appreciate that my friend 👍
Hi Steve, thanks for uploading - enjoyed and hope the Foal is doing well. I get the same problem after a while with the seat on my 2018 1250RT. Did you say you also had a lowered seat because I didn’t know you could get one for the RTs? I just thought there were high and low positions?
Hi mate and thanks for watching, I started with the standard seat but bought the low one and never looked back makes a big difference lowering your position by a heap fella and heated still, would fit the 1250 too.
@@Steve-Clark Thanks Steve 👍
Really loved that.

@@Steve-Clark yeah looks a good ride, i went to scarborough and whitby then goathland today with my son so next ride out will be to strawberry fields.

What was the outcome with the stupid van driver, I bet he was looking at his phone or texting, classic behaviour of someone doing that behind the wheel I see it regularly
Just stayed behind him/ her as was dangerous and waited while they pulled off, thanks for watching my friend and ride safe

Hey Steve, I've been watching your channel for a while, great videos and rides.
Regarding the SD card file corruption, try another SD card and see if it does the same thing. It could be that the SD card is worn out and needs replacing with a new one. I'd also recommend using a good named brand and not any cheap ones as these can cause a lot more issues than buying the cheap ones. I'm only taking a guess at possible causes and the SD cards are the cheaper of things to try first. Let me know how you get on.
All the best!
Thanks for that fella we do only ever use Sandisk SD cards but don't know how long John had had it for but will ask, thanks for watching my friend.
@@Steve-Clark you’re very welcome. SanDisk are pretty solid and use them in my own GoPro Hero 4. If the 1st file gets corrupted, might be worth checking if there are any firmware updates for the camera.
