Tysm it was stuck on 75% constantly and none of the other videos helped. You are a life saver 🙏
You are an actual life saver because my pc is only a few months old and only now I was starting to have problems with tm RX580 and I first thought it was maybe the thermal paste (which was really crusty when I changed it this morning) and then I noticed the usage would just be 75% when I start up my pc and then when I play games and try to use other apps it'll just crash and restart or it'll just crash my whole pc and switch off so this video really helped a lot
This is unbelievable, lol, went from 100% (48% via task manager) to 0% @ idle on every task viewer! Now if I could only figure out why those disabled functions never once worked while leeching my pc to death... Thank you, fantastic video. No BS, simple to follow, clear audio/video. 10/10
NO WAY, thank you so much it actually worked.
i turned on the auto replay not thinking anything about it and not checking my gpu usage,
but then i way playing mincrft and my game was lagging way too hard, i went to check the gpu usage and it was at 100%, i closed minecraft and it was still at 50%
i thought it was malware so i scanned my pc, didnt help and i did everyhting i could and nothing fixed it either,
Clicked on your video, no bs fixed the issue.
thank you so much ❤
dude oh my god this is a life saver. I thought my pc had a virus and got scared, but thankfully i found your video. My rx 570 was running 80% usage when idle, we need more people to see this.
Thanks for sharing, I really though something wrong in my gpu.
Thank you so much bro you helped me a lot.
I saw your video first and with in one video i got the solution once again thank you so much bro keep it up👍👍👍👍
Dude thank you!
This actually worked Ty! if this does not work I recommend you to downgrade your drivers to older ones, if it is worth it for you and remember to delete the older versions of the drivers .
+I have vega 56 and I just needed to turn off the desktop recording option.
From 75% to 20% bro thats insane
Thanks so much, my GPU utilization went fomr 66% to 2%
OMG I was so frustrated trying out almost all the fix tutorials out there but none of them worked! At last I found this underrated tutorial and it saved my gpu! Thank you so much and bless you brother! 🔥🔥💯💯
i hope someone pays this guy 10k your a fucking legend
Bro thankyou wo much, i have been wondering for ages why i lag so much on games when i got a good pc
Something perplexing me.... The adrenalin software shows that my GPU idle usage is all over the place from 0 to 100% and constantly spikes (every few seconds or so.) But the task manager does not show this at all and holds steadily between 0 and 5%. HW Monitor shows occasional spikes (a few a minute) but reveals the power draw of the card spikes all over the place. The GPU in question is not OC. It's brand new rx 580. The steps in this video didn't help as the task manager reports that process is already at 0%.
no gpu is perfect, is some instances it can be a hardware issue. In other instances it can purely be a driver/software issue. Personally I don't know what programs you've got on your pc but going from small programs like wallpaper engine or chromium based browsers to discord streams/Microsoft teams. these are all programs that utilize the gpu in most cases and can make your gpu spike on the encoding/utilization graphs. Even moving your mouse on the desktop after being idle for a bit can make your gpu spike for a second.
Same prob dude nowhere is a solution I think the gpu is fucked tbh mine does the exact same
Well, It's been a month of trying to figure this out. I think this issue is being caused by the adrenalin driver itself. I can find no other evidence of anything using the GPU at all other than the metrics displayed by the driver itself. There are no other programs running. It's a brand new computer and honestly works just fine... the temps are fine, performance is fine, it's snappy. I don't see anything wrong with it really except Adrenaline says the GPU is at 100% usage nearly all the time. Unfortunately, now I can't seem to uninstall the drivers as the program just hangs when I try.
@@mikefur3957do you habe a solution
Dude.... This video has helped me in ways i cannot explain.
As a PC User, Builder, and Gamer for over 15 years, this current PC setup im using has gone from being insanely fast and responsive, to dull.
I thought maybe i had ram errors (fixed those / debunked)
i thought maybe the CPU was tired? (debunked)
i thought maybe the video card was dying? checking GPU performance seeing it sky high at idle just had me stumped.
i noticed going from sleep. to awake on the PC would make EVERYTHING run slow for a while like the system had to catch up with itself.
or i would simply have to restart and the problem would go away.
this simple video right here, unchecking those settings and bam. its like the PC is alive again.
THANK YOU
bro this helped me so much thank you!
Ty this tutorial is helping me so much❤❤❤
thank you so much omg i cant express how much u just did for me bro
Thanks dude you helped me a lot, my gpu was hitting 75% at idle, I was really annoyed at this, this video solved my issue.
what was your idle temperature now that you've followed his tutorial? i need help too because mine was like ranging from 65 to 75 degrees and I'm so worried rn.
after new driver update today mine ran 100% at idle i was like wtf.did this and its at 0 to 1% thank you so much
littrelly helped god bless you
thx man really works
man thank u so much
man you saved my ass. I thought it was a mining virus. Because recently i installed a ps2 game on pcxs2 it was persona 3 fes with the hd mods. I thought it was a virus but THE FUCKING INSTANT GIF THING FOR SOME FUCKING REASON USED 100% GPU EVEN WHEN I WAS NOT RECORDING GIFS. i instantly turned that off. my gpu is rx 480 8 gb . So for everyone who has the same problem turn isntant gif off.
i disabled the "record desktop" setting and my gpu utility drops from 75% to 1%
thank you for the help!
dayum
on my amd it doesnt say general, what do i do
Hey, did you ever find a fix for this? I have the same issue…
Oh my god, my computer has been shit for half a year thank you so much
tnx bro
thanks u are the GOATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT MAN THANKSSSSSSS
thanks bro my gpu is 1 percent now
Instant GIF off in your video dropped it about 38% by itself and In-Game Replay off took care of the other 2%!!!
WTF i just turn of INSTANT REPLAY AND FROM 83 % TO 0 % TY MAN .........
thank you sooooo much
with the different overlay the first option to disable was record desktop, the second i turned just that one option off it went from 75 to 1. so i dont think all the others need to be turned off, just that specific thing. thank you though, never wouldve figured it out without this video lol.
omggg ty for the tips mine was idle 55% and go down to 0 - 1% thankk you im suffering from overheating to my r9 380 xfx from 50-60c to 40c WWOWWW bro thanksssss
Well now my fans stopped spinning so even though I fixed this I can’t play without my pc overheating I’m gonna throw it away. No one’s gonna buy a used pc I’m just gonna get a ps5. They cost the same and I don’t have to constantly be updating drivers and troubleshooting and programming and managing folders clearing shader cache like fuck nigga. I just wanna sit the fuck down and play after working all fucking day. I don’t want to come home and instead have to fix more problems.
mine is 75% when idle is it normal?
no its just that amd service overuses resources
I don't see the general option
I have this same issue. Did you ever find a fix?
I have no general ??? 🥺🥺🥺
Did you ever figure it out? I don’t have a general tab either.
my gpu was using 76% and after the setting it was 1% lmao Thanks
Holy shit tysm :D
For my AMD software, the general tab simply does not exist. Please someone give me a fix I have been searching for hours and I am desperate.
i gotchu go to record and stream, settings, and all the settings should be there
WTF bro i was sitting at 75% usage now at 1%
didn’t help that the general setting were now scattered everywhere lol
but if you wanna record something it goes back to 80 75 percent
Of course, because recording takes processing power it's not magic
Bro for me the usage is 100 and the temp rises and rises
💯
te amo
Unfortunately this method didn't work for me. :(
The only solution I've found so far is to record the desktop for a few seconds and end the recording.
But having to do this every time is quite annoying.
Anyway, thank you so much for the video, it helped a lot of people. :D
Thank you for helping me solve thr problem man , i was confused because i dont have the general thingy , you are a life saver dude
@@imsoniakz40 I’m glad to help :D
But, I found a better and permanent way.
The core of the problem is AMD's RE:LIVE tool.
If you install in mode: "Minimal install", nothing from RE:LIVE will be installed, and the problem will be solved.
The thing is, when doing this, you won't have the AMD fan control tool, so you'll have to use an external one (like MSI Afterburner).
Currently this is what worked for me.
I installed the driver in "minimal install" mode, and I use MSI Afterburner to control the fans.
My problem is lil different
My usage is at 2 to 1%
But gpu power utilization is at 144
Not using anything just on idol
Becouse of high power utlization temp is also rising to 60
Is the gpu clean. (Dust free or pc case has air flow) or is the gpu overclocked
@@N4feYT all clean i even change thermal paste and everything
but my gpu is using 140 watts power
even though i am not even doing anything
I just turn my pc on
Wait for few mins and then high power usage 100 gpu utli. High temp
60 is far my gpu go when i am gaming
But idle that much usage of gpu how nothing is running on back ground
@@N4feYT i also downgrade my driver
22.9.1 to 22.5.1 and i am not updating
I am not having issues for know finger crossed if i found same problem ill let u know
My usage went down to 2 percent but idk why or if it’s just me but it seem louder than usual
You can change the fan curves in the tuning tab in the drivers
