As a person who works in accounting / finance I can totally see how this happens. At the end of the day, this is a business that Joe is the owner. He’s right, you expense as many things as possible to lower your tax liability. As someone who isn’t an owner, or doesn’t know much about business accounting I can totally see how you can look at “the accounting” and think he’s stealing. Also, we are trained to give as little information as possible to as little people as possible. Most people don’t understand accounting and assume it has the same rules as your regular personal finance. It’s totally different. Also, I don’t recall Rory and Mal ever saying they weren’t paid well. Based on what I’ve heard, Joe probably was not paying them based on the “accounting” because then they would have gotten paid less. I do believe that’s why he takes so much offense to the stealing accusations. Accountants literally try to show as many expenses as possible to bring taxes down. Also, he’s also correct in saying he could expense his car, his clothes and probably so much more (part of his rent, gas, cosmetic procedures, etc). Also, Joe would make decisions that require future spend / growth. this interview I’m assuming he’s saying he didn’t expense as much as he should so they can get a higher share of “profits”. This also means he would have had a higher tax liability (while also having to pay for this items out of pocket)Soooo if this is the case I can understand why Joe is so upset about the stealing rumors. It sounds like they have ab issue reconciling their payment vs expenses. I can totally see how a person who’s rubbing a business and taking on all of the stress and risk of the business, and have people who you don’t feel are investing as much sweat equity start asking you questions about your business they they aren’t helping grow beyond being “talent”. I can so see how this went left lol. In my opinion, Joe talked waaayyyy too much about owner, and he made Rory and Mal “feel” like they were without actually being one. They got entitled. In my opinion, this is all ego and pride. Mal and Rory learned that they are not owners and do not have the same rights as one. People can’t take away from the fact that besides all his bullshit, Joe does seem like he works very hard, and I think it’s difficult for people like him to have empathy for people who he doesn’t deem work as hard as he does. I think Mal definitely falls into that in his mind. Like I upgraded your life, gave you a gig, paid you well for your bare minimum efforts, and you’re still complaining. That’s what I feel he feels in his mind. Lol
@@pongunz1997so you’re saying two dudes with their lawyers who went on to build multimillion dollar company, signing 2 big deals worth millions ‘dont understand their contract’? U can’t be that dense dawg 😂😂😂
Joe wanted them to pay expenses but also told Rory he couldn’t have any ownership in the pod. Why am I handling expenses, but you won’t let me own anything?!
What you wrote makes no sense. In the world or percentages in pay, making workers pay an extra percent in expenses has nothing to do with ownership. Joe Budden name been on the show and they had no issue until they felt like they should get paid more. Also nobody knows roy or Mal apart from Joe. Which means if something happened, Joe would have taken the blow. Thats why he should get paid more.
Joe really needs to stop going on Spaces. Joe needs to stop discussing this breakup. None of his talk (about the breakup) makes him look any better. It all just sounds like nice-sounding spin.
Only to people who lack comprehension & are govern with their emotions over logical thinking. R&M sound like they’re ignorant on the business end & are upset that they’ve done bad business. Their sense of entitlement is ridiculous. Joe also sounds like he’s has poor leadership & communication skills. Some of you guys sympathize with who you assume is the weaker people in the situation & automatically assume the person in power is the bad guy. Too many successful people are still working with Joe or speak highly of him as a businessman in podcasting.
Man posted a podcast they were part of on his UA-cam, monetized it, and said they can’t get a cut. CANT go into business with certain people. This man believes he is right too
They were getting a check... on screen talent are not entitled to a cut of the business part of anything unless their name is on it. That's business 101
If a person is a percentage based earner and can’t see the percentages of course they’ll assume they’re getting stolen from. There was a pod when he said he’d never pay them a certain dollar amount if the pod made millions and they both told him that’s not how percentages work.
Joe is straight up saying the asked for accounting, i gave them accounting.. if i happened to lie on the accounting, so be it, i still gave them accounting... thats wild!
Family....those guys were work for hire. If your friend owns a company, and u go work for him, aside from what get paid, are u entitled to a percentage of all his business deals because you're friends? HELL NO! They literally signed a contract. Entry level, getting more than entry-level pay, then complaining, is nasty work
Yeah Joe sounds crazy. And every time he talks about this I understand Rory and Mal more and more. The JBP with Rory and Mal brought views to that UA-cam channel so that should have been a part of the profit they shared. Him saying they could see accounting anytime but that is where is stops sounds absolutely crazy. "Here's the accounting, oh a $400K mistake? Welp, sorry your contract says you can see the numbers but can't ask questiuons" is NUTS. I could go on and on but the new cast is smart for doing business the way are they are doing it. GREAT podcaster but he can't be trusted when it comes to integrity and looking out for your "friends" or partners.
I think Rory and Mal's mistake was watching Joe screw over music labels/execs for years and thinking it could never happen to them. Like how do you go into business with someone used to playing like a snake when it comes to business and then act surprised when you eventually get some fangs in you? I ain't going to bat for music execs/labels, either. I'm just saying Joe seems very used to acting funny when a bag is involved.
You’re right but we all have our blind spots with when it comes to friends and family. Like Rory and Mal said this all could have been prevented if they didn’t let Joe slide for so long just because we were “friends”, and that them holding themselves accountable unlike Joe. If he is this Big boss as he claims to be don’t screw over your crew or even your friends who even mutual and industry friends said have held you down better than other celebrities friends he had during his rap career.
Joe’s Side Of The Story Changes Every Single Time He Speaks On The Breakup.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Joe Wanted To Turn Them Into Salaried Instead Of Percentage Earners. That’s Where The End Came From. Joe Is Just Good And Spinning..
Everybody on this comment thread just yapping and not providing any real analysis on why they believe what they believe. Please explain how he stole from R&M, so I can unpack and debunk since you clearly didn’t understand the business side of what Joe was discussing
@@Ra-sb2ln bruh when Rory and Mal both made that accusation, Joe later came out and said “what I have no idea what their talking about” then he later went on a live chat room and said their was a 400k mistake and even Ish on the podcast called Joe out for contradicting himself and said to Joe live on air; Let Rory and Mal come back to the podcast and expose everything to see who’s really telling truth and then we can finally put this break up to bed. Rory and Mal went on their podcast and heard what ISH said and agreed quickly with ISH and said they would happily do it and guess what Joe said to Ish, “ah whatever ninja let’s move on”. Please feel free to watch Danny old content covering Joe narrative changes and look at when he covered Rory and Mal literally saying we got all the proof, receipts, and we’ll even expose all contracts live on air to finally shut up Joe and his constant lying. Thats why a lot of people side with Rory and Mal because if they were really lying why challenge Joe so openly on their own platform and other people platform, especially when they can hear and see Ish (Joe new nearest and dearest friend) even give them the benefit of the doubt. Ish knows Rory and Mal to be good people and as Ish says to Joe constantly on the current podcast Joe ain’t shit so that should tell us who really telling the truth about this breakup.
@Ra-sb2ln 15 percent agreement on podcast earnings. joe created a network above the podcast. says the podcast made x after subtracting at the network level. essentially lowering their pay by creating new expenses.
1. Joe ever talking about contracts and in context of someone else not respecting one, will always be hilarious. This man gonna die a hypocrite. 2. “Well which one is it? Was it I stole or was it that you signed something you shouldn’t have? It can’t be all these different things” …yeah.. yeah it sure can lol How can anyone not see right thru this dude every time he speaks? He’s gonna try and tone of voice yall into thinking he’s a high class mogul every time
@@nothinguntouchedpodcastJoe also said this crew negotiates their contracts but also said back then fuck a contract I don’t respect them. And he said profit split wasn’t part of it but now saying it was a courtesy. 😂😂 I quicker believe BigFoots side of the story then Joe.
@@nothinguntouchedpodcasttbh idk who to believe. Because even if some things have changed here and there his main sentiment was always i pay for everything why would i give u ownership. Calling someone a thief doesn’t make it true if you’re not willing to prove it so idk bro
Joe knows damn well if Rory and mal would’ve started their own UA-cam he would’ve been upset. Even with that, if I’m on your UA-cam creating content with you then they definitely deserves some of the UA-cam money
Exactly i was just about to type this before i saw your comment smh its easy to gas light after the fact and say he would've been cool with that but we know the truth
Lol Joe a narrative twister. He was talking about stick to the contract thats what R&M was saying that he is not sticking to the contract. If they was profit sharing then give them their share of profits period. If he wanted them to pay for production then that should be in the contract but it wasn't especially if you are getting the biggest slice of the pie why would I help pay for production. Unlike the new cast yall agreed on a dollar amount. Id you are profit sharing then R&M needs to see profits being made and hell it may go up or down if profits was down im sure he wouldn't habe mind showing the accounting
@@colliscrews3727 No disrespect but people are cut from a certain cloth and you are not which is ok. But certain people can look at someone and say damn we are supposed to be friends and you are willing to throw away our friendship for some money. And say you know what keep the money and never F with them again which R&M chose to do. Another thing sometimes its not worth it you would have to hire an entertainment lawyer and an auditor to go over contracts and back track things which could add up to more than what he owes them which is not worth it. And obviously its not because they weren't hurting for the money and they landed on their feet its just the principle of him trying to twist the story and lie about certain things that makes them talk about it. So not everything is worth a lawsuit its not like they suing someone for some millions now That's a different story
This is where my problem comes from. Profit sharing is a completely subjective term. Profit is after all the expenses are taken out. From the beginning he always encouraged them to capitalize on the popularity of the podcast brand. They should've. As an owner, everything I touch can be an expense and I can control the amount of your salary if I choose to. I would always know they gave minimal effort on the show. They didn't act like they were part owners... So much was wrong with their situation on both sides.
@@colliscrews3727 Well im a watcher of both and I honestly can say the only time they ever really talked about it was the very first episode of their new pod when they pretty much said everything that happened. Outside of that they either get asked a question about the break-up and they answer it or they just take a shot at Joe or Joe taking a shot at them. But its both sides still talk about it and they do it no matter if Mal wants to admit it or not it brings in views when they talk about each other. Im over it but there are plenty of people who still want to hear about it
If Ish one day get tired of Joe. Ice is a yes man Mel is there for the check. Flip is loyal to a degree... But Ish and Joe fell out in the past the reason they never told. But hes the only one I can see leaving after he used up his extended 15 mins of fame
Im honestly to the points both sides is telling the truth and lying. If R&M feel some type of way they should have sued but they never did so which mean they got fucked over but yall signed the contracts. It is what it is
This man sounds completely different to his Complex days and “creators” narrative. Back then it was Partnerships and a lot of togetherness. Now it’s a “courtesy and paperwork”. Dudes a clown, he manipulates slow people.
Tax said it years ago and he was 100% right. Joe surrounds himself with low IQ people who he can easily manipulate and take advantage of. People thought he only did this with women but it looks like thats how he picks his friends too. Dude is a true narcissist
Joe shouldve started a separate UA-cam for the pod with R&M just like Shannon Sharpe did when he started Nightcap w Ocho. It was on Shay Shay until it took off. Seems like Joe wanted to hog the UA-cam coins.
Or maybe Rory and mal should’ve made their own UA-cam page…Joe used to tell them start a pod all the time and they would say “Naw”…them soon has they spilt they did everything he told them to do😂
@@MrBlackVision if Joe wasn’t breaking them off even a small amount of money from his UA-cam for their content what makes you think he would allow them to take that same content he’s trying to monetize and then use it on their own private UA-cam channel 😂😂
@@MrBlackVisionwhy would they need to start a pod when they were already on one of the biggest podcasts? That's just him trying to deflect from paying them what he should've for the pod that they were already on. And to think he called them his friends. But Rory and Mal should've had their business together way before. It's also on them how they allowed him to treat them.
@@MrBlackVisionin one of Joe's rants after they broke up he mentioned a "non compete" clause in their contract, probably meaning while working for him the only way they could have started something if he owned it as well
No one knows what the truth is, but Rory and Mal need to take it to court or move on. Taking shots at one another and calling Joe a thief for umpteenth years is entertaining but hasn't resolved a thing. I don't care about exposing you as a thief, I'm going to get what I'm owed.
Rory and Mal did move on, Joe is the one bringing it up again. And I think they did move on because Joe TOLD them it was going to be XYZ vs the wording in the contract. For example the contract could say you get paid for the “Podcast”. Then Joe uploads to the UA-cam which may or may not be considered the “Podcast” but tells them yea yt is part of the payout. Without accounting they don’t have a case, which is what they were looking for. Last thing you wanna do is take someone to court without hard proof.
No need to go to court because they made that money back already and they literally said let’s Joe guilt eat him up from stealing from honest friends. Court is expensive and Joe being petty would try to drag it out so he dies y get exposed.
I don't know who's right. And I don't know who's wrong. And I don't have any money invested on Who's justified here? That being said, I know that both feel justified in their side of their truth, on the Joe side, me being a creator myself and an independent artist myself. I know that there are many that feel entitled. To your gifts, as a creator and don't want to do any of the work. And all they want to do is stand next to you. While you do the work, I'm not saying that's what Rory and Mal are doing, but I would not be shocked if that in essence is what they were doing..
Joe acts like he's so happy with the new crew koz they don't ask questions lmao... well duh they didn't help you make it ofcourse they can't have the same quarrels as rory and mal
Wait I don’t get the static.. if he’s the outright owner of the production.. it’s literally the JBP.. why are they entitled to anything more than what he sets? They’re cohosts, not partners on paper. While I always agreed that he was disrespectful in the way shit went down, business wise he’s not wrong at all. Mal and Rory always been kinda blurry on the details and specifics and this is why. Technically he could’ve paid them nothing and if they continued to show up voluntarily they’d have little to stand on. They admittedly made a lot of bread, but just felt entitled to have a say in the overall business decisions, which is at Joes discretion to choose.
because they had a profit sharing agreement. That means they are entitled to the percentage they agreed on. Problem is the pod started making alot of money and that percentage became more than Joe wanted to pay them so he did some scumbag shit and hid money from his “friends”
Clothing expenses!!!! Who tf would want Joe to pick their wardrobe!! Man he just keeps twisting and spinning… some of that 400k went that waterfront spot he got now!!
He’s saying that he could’ve added the clothing as expenses to the budget to lower taxes but it would’ve meant less profit and that he would’ve had to pay R & M less. He was pointing out shortcuts he took in order to pay them a good amount.
I wish Joseph Carmelo Anthony Budden story would stop changing . Least I can say that R&M just wanted to see the numbers and pay the team. Joe keep rewriting history. Becareful Flip
Yup. Even though Flip is an employee a small part of flip is seeing how Joe does bad business but at the same time Flip does need to stop with checking Joe finances. If Flops wants a raise he has to wait for Joe to sign a new deal (which don’t exist anymore) or wait till Joe hits the lottery 😅
Y’all go back to the old episodes and everything Joe said lines up! Rory and Mal wanted Joe spot and gave minimal effort. The success was them roasting and being immature. Mal on his phone more then Flip 😂
They were employees…who worked for their friend. If my friend builds a podcast from the ground up and all I do is show up, I’m not complaining bout any paper I get from it. And if I feel uncomfortable about it, I dip. Simple
This is a genuine question- I am not seeing how Joe is a “snake”? Joe develops a show, invites people to co-host, allows them to use the IP to develop their own space (which they ultimately did), and they were paid as contractors so they’re paid in accordance to the hours they worked.. I really don’t see the “manipulation” on Joe’s part.. genuinely. I think the biggest issue is proximity- when people are close to you, they feel entitled to stuff.. but I’d love to hear another pov..
It seems obvious that the profit split was for the Joe Budden Podcast while Joe signed the deal with Spotify, CashApp, youtube as himself or his production company. That allowed him to then assign a certain dollar amount to the podcast profits while using the rest however he deemed fit such as adding on the other podcasts to the network. Joe hinted at that when he kept saying they were only entitled to the podcast profits but that they wanted some of the profit from Joe Budden. Contractually I'm guessing Joe had something in there that he had the ability to control what was considered podcast expenses and profits so suing would do them no good because Joe got to determine what money is dished out to the pod.
No but that’s also wrong as well. All the deals that Joe got is supposed to split with them according their agreement. Joe 50%, Rory and Mal-25% each and from their like Rory and Mal said they put that money right back into the podcast expenses. Because that’s literally how the rest of the crew got paid along with the equipment and production cost. Joe didn’t just have these multimillion dollars laying around paying people all three of them were supporting the podcast and that what Joe keep lying about.
I’m assuming He didn’t have money to pay them a salary when the pod first started- so they did profit sharing- but once the money started to really come in is where things got fuzzy
@@sekehi3there's nothing fuzzy abt it. Lmfao he didn't want to pay them what he promised as a courtesy bc in his mind they didn't work as hard as him.
Look long story short Joe needs to stop changing the story up. Rory and Mal helped build that podcast with Joe and we’re not greedy with the ones they received from the podcast. They literally put that money back into podcast expenses because they wanted to help get Joe podcast to Joe Rogan level of success (which it was before the break up), and keep the crew around them happy. Noticed how the other female led podcast who were working for Joe all left his network and when asked about Rory and Mal they all say the same thing it’s nothing but love but when it comes to Joe they have nothing but issues with him and yet Joe keeps painting this narrative that Rory and Mal were lazy and ungrateful when we ourselves as a fanbase saw the work all three of them put into making this podcast successful. We were fans of all 3 of them including Parks so I can’t understand why we can’t be honest and see that Joe mess up this situation. Rory and Mal took accountability for not handling their business with Joe right but tier than that they stayed 10 ties with Joe and never snaked him like he got snaked when he was a rapper. But yet they’re the bad guys when Joe literally keeps changing the story and Rory and Mal have had the same exact story from day one. They challenged Joe twice now to expose their contracts live on air at Joe current podcast and Joe still be running from their request and we know why he does he because hell finally be exposed as liar and have his podcast image in question. So yes enough of this subject, both parties landed and found new sucess.
I'm with Joe. I had no idea about Rory and Mal but they were great additions to the start of the pod. Joe is the headliner, they didnt know their place. AND that's showbiz folks. KNOW YOUR ROLE.
He built that UA-cam with his fans for over a decade. I would never either. And he gave them permission to take the footage. They can't get mad at that.
@@Deemo7373 That’s true but that doesn’t necessarily mean he stole. I think R&M simply didn’t understand they worked for Joe. That’s really what this boils down to. That part I do blame Joe for. Allowing them to believe they were actual equal partners.
@@Ember_JanerNaw yall gotta stop defending Joe. If you have a profit sharing agreement and the person refuses to let you see the contracts how do you know you’re getting the correct amount. Like if the Spotify deal was 15 mill and Joe is lying saying it was 5 mill but won’t show you the contract, that is Joe finessing them. It’s obvious he was hiding money. Thats Joe being a scumbag and doing bad business not Rory & Mal lacking in business acumen.
I understand where Joe is coming from. As a business man myself on GTA V I hate when my colleagues what a bigger split when I'm footing the bill for a heist.
Listen Joe did the work, Rory and Mal had their hand out. They let Joe dictate and run things til the podcast of value then they wanted parts . They didn’t pay for production but wanted a piece of his UA-cam and Rory wanted ownership in the podcast once it popped. I’m no Joe Avenger but I’m in agreement with home because he out the money up and the others where just along for the ride.
That’s not true at all. Joe did not have multimillion dollars lying around to run that podcast. Rory and Mal both said numerous times that they put their share of the money back into the podcast to help keep it growing and to help keep their employees happy. Joe changes narrative every 5 seconds. Why would Joe say they earned this big money they are getting and then say oh they never even contributed to the podcast aside from showing up; that’s make no sense, he gave them that big check because he saw they weren’t greedy with their money and actually helped him keep that podcast afloat with our without a podcast deal. He didn’t have to beg them to help out because if he did that would be the first thing he would have exposed to us after the break up and he didn’t. But now he is to try and keep discrediting his “nearest and dearest” friends. Rory and Mal are literally doing the same thing with their current podcast and proving Joe narrative wrong. They got $10 million dollars and after that deal was done we see them continue to have sold out merch and sold out tours and that’s because they prioritize they’re crew/brand first before paying themselves and they just take what’s left. Joe just wanted it all for self once the big bag came to him and was tired of having two people around him that would question his “authority” we see it now with Flip even though flip is to blame as well look at how he talks down on Flip even though that’s his “manz”!
They’ve already told their story. Over and over and over again lol. Some things are more important than money. I’m with Mal. It’s his real life not just content.
@@Shay416nah he was definitely their friend. But like we as always money corrupts and changes people and only a select few know how to handle this change or not and as we see Joe completely switched up.
Facts.... He clearly stated that they only came to work, podded, and left and didn't really care about the pod, but as soon as Rory took the meeting, he cussed him out and told him he can't make any decisions about his pod. 🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ Hypocrite
I think Joe’s biggest mistake was continuing to pay them the same money after the Spotify deal was up. I think the profit after expenses was significantly lower and decided to pay them like life was good. I think the issue came when money started to be injected they felt the expenses were being fudged and thought they were owed more. Essentially both sides are half right. Rory and Mal shouldn’t have accepted the continued money even though profits were down. Joe shouldn’t have paid them bc when the pros go up your friends won’t give a damn about the extra money you paid out of pocket to keep them afloat. They gonna just keep wanting more regardless if you looked out or not. Joe should’ve communicated the move. Rory and Mal shouldn’t have taken the money blindly knowing the pros were gone.
I have to disagree because like Joe said they earned the money they were making regardless, he just keeps changing the narrative and making himself sound dumb. Plus like Rory and Mal said they got a lot of money but they literally put it back into the podcast expense because they rather see this podcast grown to Rogan level status instead of spending their money frivolously. They are literally doing right now with their own podcast especially after their $10 million dollars deal. They’re selling off their merch constantly and selling out sold out tours back to back. Thats them prioritizing the brand and their crew over being greedy and putting themselves first and that what Joe did as soon as he got the big bag money.
@@bandhere728 nah they didn’t put money back into the pod. The talked about helping the crew out with money that one time, but other than that they weren’t investing. Joe said they “earned” from a friend’s pov, but according to their contract he paid them more than what they were technically entitled to. I agree once you start your own brand and understand expenses you’d move a little wiser than before. I think Rory’s biggest contention was that he thought expenses for the entire network was being counted before profit splits not just the jbp. I honestly don’t think Mal was wise enough to understand that, but his “real nigga” persona was needed in order to aid Rory in addressing these grievances.
@@crowded_spaces wait hold that thought I know we can go back and forth on who said what. But I’ll just speak to what Rory and Mal have been saying on their platform and other podcasts platform about the podcast split. They said when they first got ad money before the Spotify deal they literally took a small cut and let Joe take the biggest cut, therefore that little ad money they had instead of asking Joe for more they let Joe have the rest to keep producing the (early) JB podcast and Joe can keep getting ads. Then when the Spotify deal happened like always Rory and Mal took their fair share and gave Joe the big money so Joe can start paying parks more along with Savon, Ian, and screen man (Alex) by them taking small percentage of money that is them putting back and investing into the podcast along with their tours that they did and the money they made. People have to remember when Joe started this podcast he had no money (not literally but not enough to set up the podcast like we got it), so he was working at complex to pay his bills/his royalty checks from his music to support his new kid and gf. So originally yes during their time together they never just sat there and collected a check they literally kept helping Joe build this podcast financially and talent wise. Rory and Mal are not going to openly say they helped Joe cover expenses if that wasn’t true when in fact the point of their profit sharing agreement is so that instead of all three of them just taking huge splits of the money they make for themselves, they instead will each take fair shares so then their enough left over to pay for whatever expenses are needed for the podcast without digging in their own pockets. In 2020 when we was shut down Joe said it himself on a zoom episode “(thank god you ninja ain’t bougie with yall money because we got no deals coming right now)”. And Rory said “yeah as always I’m saving my money and whatever we need for the podcast he has it to contribute” (Mal shared the sentiment). So when Joe got the cash app deal and the patreon deal Rory and Mal said Yoo that’s a lot of money and instead of giving us our fair share take away more of our money so you can pay the crew and keep up production since everyone was burnt out with the constant podcasting. So in conclusion yes Rory and Mal always gave up money to keep the podcast going, Since the start of the podcast Joe may have took some of his own money and stretched it to cover things as a boss but Rory and Mal didn’t not leave him hanging with these big bills.

Joe was always right about HIS UA-cam. He been posting "content" before it had a name. One of the firsts to do it... should he have started a new channel for the pod? Yea probably, but hindsight is 20/20. They didn't know what they had at first or how to navigate the space. Plus be honest, ppl watched initially because it's Joe Budden. His name brought the ppl
I been unscubcribed to this channel, how hell did this pop up on my feed😂 This is a dead issue. It's multiple sides to every story, but pocket watching should have an experation date. It would be more entertaining if they just box it out. Lol

I only watched on UA-cam, and I was watching for the chemistry of the 3 (and Parks’ knee). I can understand him saying that they were signed for audio, but once they’re on camera, and people are invested in the physical aspect of the show, he’s in the wrong. I haven’t watched or listened since they left, even though I still enjoy Joe’s opinions. My biggest issue as a fan was that he really drew me in with all the “creatives deserve better/ rap union”, “how much is a stream”, and “integrity” talks. I believed that he believed allat, and that he practiced that. Every time he opens his mouth about the divorce now, he exposes that he didn’t practice what he preached. But R&M lost me last year too, bc Mal started sounding like a man who also didn’t live his so called values. His behavior during the Kendrick/ That Other Dude beef proved me right. And I hate it, because I don’t like finding out that I invested time and money into frauds. Joe was wrong, period. Mal was a sucka, period. Rory is consistent, and has terrible taste in men he sits beside, maybe.
Son really just talks slowly and with conviction, and only if you want to believe he wasn’t snaking them dudes will you hear that he wasn’t snaking them dudes.
None of this matters. Joe's podcast is seeing new heights and he's doing very well without them. The reality is he didn't need them. That podcast was an easy gig and they fucked up an easy bag overestimating their worth. The end.
Oh please! You ppl are talking from hind sight. Rory and Mal helped ESTABLISH what the podcast is today. They were found it for 7 years before the breakup. So you may say oh he don't need them but that's such a flippant and irresponsible thing to say. Let the break up has happened after year 2 and see how that would've worked out for him.
Just say revision or something like that in the title unless something new comes up. We clock it thinking its new info because THAT would be interesting
Joe life ends at 78. God: welcome to heaven my child. Joe (in that condescending calm Joe voice): in my life contract there was language that express that i was supposed to get to 80. You (God) have decided to violate that contract and thats what i dealt with on Earth in the music business
They won’t. Rory and Mal said the recouped that money already and say let Joe quilt eat at him for stealing from his actual friends. Which I agree with them.
this is the same guy that went off on Complex because they wouldn't “pay the creatives” in their infancy for mentioning brands “organically” during Everyday Struggle… hypocrisy at its finest.
I’ll say this: this UA-cam thing specifically, depends on what’s in their contract. If they were indeed profit share profits for all things on the pod, the deserved and were entitled to money from that. BUT, if they were paid as employees to do a service, they aren’t entitled to that money. If the contract says, you get $30k/month to record and that’s it, then that’s it. It’s all depending.

Lol

Which means if something happened, Joe would have taken the blow. Thats why he should get paid more.

If a person is a percentage based earner and can’t see the percentages of course they’ll assume they’re getting stolen from. There was a pod when he said he’d never pay them a certain dollar amount if the pod made millions and they both told him that’s not how percentages work.

@Deemo7373 do you run a business? What did he say that was wrong from a ceo perspective.

Technically he could’ve paid them nothing and if they continued to show up voluntarily they’d have little to stand on. They admittedly made a lot of bread, but just felt entitled to have a say in the overall business decisions, which is at Joes discretion to choose.

I dont care how much you contribute. If you dont put money up, I dont care what you say.
If he did something wrong then go to court. If contracts were violated then go to court or shut up about it if you not gonna do it.
They’ve already told their story. Over and over and over again lol. Some things are more important than money. I’m with Mal. It’s his real life not just content.
I love that picture of Rory and Mal and Baisley. I wanna frame it and put it on my wall.
This is why you should never do business with “friends”.
Everytime I did I got robbed
I understand the point, but it can be done. The real lesson should be “never do business with Joe Budden”
Joe was never their friend...
@@bmomouse6859yup 💯
@@Shay416nah he was definitely their friend. But like we as always money corrupts and changes people and only a select few know how to handle this change or not and as we see Joe completely switched up.
Rory and Mal could’ve used the Joe budden podcast to start their own UA-cam but a meeting with Elliot is an issue?😂😂😂
Facts.... He clearly stated that they only came to work, podded, and left and didn't really care about the pod, but as soon as Rory took the meeting, he cussed him out and told him he can't make any decisions about his pod. 🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ Hypocrite
Tax lady say clothes and cars aren’t a tax expense
Whenever I read the comments on this situation it's clear who understands business and who doesn't. Joe did nothing wrong business-wise.
"freedom from self bondage" Joe's Mom. is huge and needs prayer. Our community suffers from emotional trauma, lack of respect for authority, due to being fatherless and lack of accountability in our community so we blame everyone but us. 1:50:17 Killer Racial Poiint by Flip
I agree.. I dont think he stole.. but he started to look at them as overpaid, lazy and entitled.
They want him to be the villain 100% and he wants to take no blame in what happened.. Both parties sound like they did some bullshit and have learned from it, more importantly theyre all doin well.
Joe you stole from them its ok 😭
I'm glad Joe directly talked about it instead of dancing around it
Are you serious Joe has changed the story a million times now lol
I think you feel slighted just like all of us who were invested in the trio, most of us just moved on or got over it, then theres some of us that we're traumatized by it. Its the real reason your channel is striving by just covering the traumatic event.. keep doing it, but i have a due diligence to connect nform you on why you do it so you can have awareness so when you finally seek the truth you've been after... You can move on..verses respond in a isolated fanatic manner. Heal brother.
Joe needs to file you on his taxes.
And how is the whole YT thing with R&M different from when they gave Flip hell for posting that IG live and monetizing without paying them? Love the JBP but Joe is irritating with this topic.
EXACTLY!! Any time someone does something outside of the pod that gets love Joe will shxt on it.
@@heem3991facts 💯💯💯. When you’re working for Joe it’s his way or the highway!
I always agreed with him on the UA-cam. You can go make your own.
On the UA-cam interface for creators payment is broken down by video. He can easily pay them from funds generated under those videos.
I been unscubcribed to this channel, how hell did this pop up on my feed😂 This is a dead issue. It's multiple sides to every story, but pocket watching should have an experation date. It would be more entertaining if they just box it out. Lol
I hate that people cry when they don't educate themselves, especially in business. Only our people go thru this it's annoying. Where is the court case? If there was really a theft, there would be no talking. Just pay me what you owe😒
Weird behavior to send shots but never send a summons 😂
Well I mean he did have that UA-cam channel years before the pod and had a lot of content on there
I only watched on UA-cam, and I was watching for the chemistry of the 3 (and Parks’ knee).
“The other dude” wow gonna bark bark loud B&$@*
DRAKE AUBREY
fool names ken like from a Barbie movie. Ken sucs a lot of D.
The way Joe talk to people is crazy 😭 it’s so hard to believe anything he says!
Son really just talks slowly and with conviction, and only if you want to believe he wasn’t snaking them dudes will you hear that he wasn’t snaking them dudes.
Where’s the original audio from this convo? Post the link please
None of this matters. Joe's podcast is seeing new heights and he's doing very well without them. The reality is he didn't need them. That podcast was an easy gig and they fucked up an easy bag overestimating their worth. The end.
The podcast is doing well but lost public respect imagine what his ‘network’ would be now had he not been so shiesty
Exactly
This why you can’t do business with friends, cuz the friends get it misconstrued
We are still on this?
Danny the goat
Looking back at this he didn’t want half ass ppl on the team !
All it sounds like to me is Joe was in the right business wise but a shitty friend about it
This is a dangerous person to have as a friend. Wow, just wow
Just say revision or something like that in the title unless something new comes up. We clock it thinking its new info because THAT would be interesting
Always thought Rory and Mal were boring af and the reason why I never completed an ep of them.
Joe life ends at 78.
God: welcome to heaven my child.
Joe (in that condescending calm Joe voice): in my life contract there was language that express that i was supposed to get to 80. You (God) have decided to violate that contract and thats what i dealt with on Earth in the music business
Bruh it's like 6 years later we still on this?!?
*3
they're gonna be throwing subs about this 10 years from now still lmfaoo
Joe should tread lightly. That large “accounting mistake” can still haunt him in years to come. If R&M goes after him for “misuse of funds”.
Bruh you can’t call Joe podcast boring and this is the content you pointing out on the regular.
its boring lol
But Joe was never gonna want Rory to pay for production cost because of the obvious reasons of Joe not being the person in charge
If someone give me 40k/month I'm not arguing NOTHING!!!
Joe be talking in circles like a politician
Bro said you can only ask for the accounting.. Asking questions isn't in the contract 😂😂😂 that's crazy..
It’s all depending.
both sides have said many times they had a profit sharing agreement
@@H0USE4100 well then, I already responded to that
Making a video talking abiut how interesting something is instead of making an interesting video is wild😂😂
Good content.
7:58 what's that beat/song?
If someone gives me $40,000 for months pay I'm going to find a way to like this new job...
