@@harveybudgen4437 Actually, he did really well, even when he was discouraged! He accomplished a couple of the tasks on his list. Rome wasn't built in a day and I'm sure he'll keep plucking away at it. I commend him, because I suck with fighting games and have resigned myself only playing the story mode and side games. Well, Tekken is the only fighting game I play. Though if Killer Instinct got a new game (and it seriously should, it's such a good franchise), and it wasn't confined to the damn XBox, like last time, I'd be happy to pick that back up. The ninja character Jago was my main back on the SNES...with all of his "Nintendo-thumb" causing half-circle moves 😅. Those half-circles made it super difficult for me to use him on the righthand side of the screen.

The editing in this is insane quality for gameplay of someone in the beginner ranks on tekken. It's like every moment is an insane clutch slowmo in an Evo final... But it's some random on wifi pressing random buttons.
I do love seeing people get into the game, even though it can be tough at first. I love that you gave yourself goals like that, I think it's a good way to have something to focus on.

Oh snaps, they now offer a replay option of your fights and recommendation on optimal moves for certain situations?! Well, damn, Tekken! Stepping up, aren't we? I'm not good at the game, but I like watching and "reading" the fight when I roomed with a sibling. I'm mainly like the story of Tekken and any side games, so I'm waiting for the price to go down since I don't really intend to play online with other people.
Also, I heard some murmuring about microtransactions with the game and I'll need to look a little more into that to see how bad it is. So long as I can do the bulk of my customizations with in-game currency and the really fancy stuff is saved for those paying cash, I'm happy.

This is my first Tekken. Its been and still is a process learning but man is it pretty fun. Yoshi too fun. Sitting at Tenryu atm.
In reality its best to learn Tekken in chunks or any fighting games. Every character has a very large movelist but many pieces of the movelist relate to one another and many moves are situational. In reality most characters rely on a small set of core moves that can also relate to one another. As you play more you will just remember moves and see situations. I started fighting games when Guilty Gear Strive came out. Everyone can start learning 1 string and thats ok to be your combo or BnB. We all start somewhere. I think anyone can become decent at fighting games.
