God has chosen. Stryper to be his army to get us ready. For him the lord God king of kings is coming and he has chosen stryper by. His stripes we are hilled
Saw them in 86 I didn't like their studio album as much but when I saw them LIVE they ROCKED and were Heavy in person. I went to the show to see the band Hurricane.... The with the brothers of Quiet Riots Bass and Guitarist and the current lead singer of Foreigner.. Stryper def won me over.
Love it. Yes, more than 5 times. Soldier Under Command, In God We Trust, THWTD all time Greatest Hits. Yellow & Black Attack again the all-time best album.
Stryper blows off most bands. Going stronger and stronger. Oz Fox IS IN THE BAND, he has gone through grave health issues with a brain tumor, had surgery and recovering. Praying for his recovery, also Michael and Robert going though health issues but I´m sure they will come through God willing.
Oz has a medical issue but still in band. He was apart of making this album. He is taking advantage of this covid ordeal to get things fixed so he can continue doing what he loves. Prayers for him and his wife. Album is awesome, areal growth... blessing.
Hi Shane. Not sure if you are aware of it or not, but Stryper just released a new single on Friday, from the new upcoming album, "Even The Devil Believes", called: "Make Love Great Again". It's an awesome track! You should do a reaction video. I think you will love the song. Perry Richardson's bass playing is just amazing. He fits Stryper perfectly. He's an awesome singer himself and does a fantastic job on background vocals. Oz is still with Stryper. He is still going through the medical problems unfortunately. He plays on this album, just like he has on previous albums. Just hoping and praying that he recovers and slays this evil dragon. They all do a great job. 😎 I hope you and yours are doing well and continue to be safe. Take care my friend!
Their last six albums are the best work they have done, and better than anything their contemporaries are releasing. I expect this album to continue that streak.
No More Hell To Pay is still the yardstick by which all albums are to be measured, no matter the band. It was a breakthrough for Stryper and it retained a rawness to it yet they haven't had since. That standard will never change unless Stryper is able to put out something better. They have been damn close since then, because of their exceptional talent and uniquely pure message, but they haven't topped it yet in my estimation, even though the song Fallen is probably my favorite Stryper song of all time. I will feel it in the core of my being if they top NMHTP. And I have a sneaking suspicion this could very well be their best effort yet. Here are snippets of the rest of the album, it is crazy good! ua-cam.com/video/4brfS5K2YZc/v-deo.html
@@SilverM1y I couldn't agree more! Everything about NMHTP is exceptional! The only song that I've grown tired of is "Revelation" and even that studio-stuck track has some intriguing riffs in it. "Fallen" is a powerful title track, perhaps their best! I didn't like the GDE tt outside of the growl in Mike's vocals. What I'd love to hear are more songs revolving around the style of "Sympathy" and/or "Marching Into Battle". I'd even love it if they mixed their songs like Living Colour does (as far as instrument discernment and bass drive goes) because even "Blood From Above" sounds a little hot to me.
@@benvalenti8190 even the devil believes might be my favorite out of the 4 latest albums. All of them are amazing for sure. Can't wait for the new album this year
The new CD Even the devil Believes is released Sept 4th I think it is. Oz is still in only member change is Tim Gaines is gone bass player is now Perry Richardson formerly of Firehouse.
Oz is still in the band. Three of the original four members are still in with Perry Richardson replacing Tim Gaines on bass. No More Hell to pay was a great (and recent) album you missed. Saw Stryper about three years ago, and these guys were bringing the heat. Legit musicians, power vocals, and great sound.
Salvation Through Redemption Yielding Peace Encouragement & Righteousness. Wow this song rocks hard. 38+years still kicking jams and Michael sweet STILL hitting those notes. Amazing!
Oz is still in the band but he's having a lot of health issues. Howie Simon filled in for Oz on several tour dates last year. Oz was performing in Vegas with a side project early last year and collapsed on stage. The doctors later discovered he had had an aneurysm. He ended up taking a few months off and seemed to be in recovery but the latest news is he's having some pretty serious issues again. As far as the single, I find it a little boring but I'm glad they are still recording new music. My reaction suggestion would be Theocracy - Laying The Demon To Rest.
Just when you think Stryper can't hit a new level of heavy and make it their own.. Here they are surprising everyone again. Great single and I can't wait to buy the album.
Tim Gaines, their original bassist, stepped away and was replaced by ex-Firehouse Bassist, Perry Richardson. Oz Fox is still there, he's just been dealing with some medical issues for a while now.
Amazing! I love it! Yes I’ve seen Stryper live. Got the VIP package for the GDE tour. My favorite album is probably Fallen. I think the new one is going to be killer!
Good work Shane. Yes Ox is still in the band. If you scroll down to the bottom of this wikipedia page you will see the timeline of band membership. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stryper Notice the short time when Ox was the lead singer too. I didn't know Ox could rox the vox.
Yes I know this is two years old, but this song is one of my favs and I have been a fan since 1984 and have seen them 26 times...they rock live...even stuff I don't think is good on the cd sounds killer live...for example I did not care for take it to the cross until I saw them perform it live...it was wicked awesome...anyway love your reviews...you crack me up....how about a review of the just released rise to the call by stryper and while I am here check out Rob Rock...and maybe do a review
Oz is still in the band but is having some health issues. The bassist Tim was asked to leave the band a few years back and was replaced by exfirehouse bassist Terry Richardson
A few other Christian bands to name a few that were popular in the 80s and 90s. Jerusalem, Daniel Band, Crystavox, Die Happy, Fear Not, Final Axe, Guardian, Idle Cure, Legend/Legend 7, Messiah Prophet, Neon Cross, Saccred Warrior, Saint, Seraiah, Shout, Traxter, to name a few also for speed metal Deliverance. I can list more but will not. Oz Fox is still with Stryper he had surgery to remove the first of two brain tumors. Timothy Gaines the bassist was replaced with Perry Richardson. Michael/Robert Sweet and Oz Fox have been together since 1983 when Stryper waz being formed.
Hey Shane! New subscriber. Been a Stryper fan since 86. Seen them live several times. Oz is still in the band. Tim Gaines (Bass) has been replaced by Perry Richardson. Take care.
Oz has had a brain tumor...and operations to remove which caused him total loss of hearing in one ear. But he is back and is performing well. As of about a week ago in Nashville.
Fantastic song, heavier and smooth. Saw them live years ago. Soldiers under Command is one of my favorite. They sound great for being older and not wash up due to drugs and alcohol like many of the bands....
Love this review. Love the song, the band . THWTD is my favourite album because it’s a classic but I believe this album is gonna be their best so far. I am a fan since 1987- in Venezuela 🇻🇪 . Saw them live in 2004 and met Robert and Oz. And saw them in Toronto 2019.
Stryper is Stryper, they'll always sound like Stryper..... But each album is just different enough with tones and feel, that it keeps you from getting bored or burned out on them and it's an, excuse the term, evolution of the band. Their last 3 or 4 albums have been their best and this isn't going to be any different. They keep getting better with each album! Oz is still with the band, Tim is out. Oz had some medical issues and missed some shows in 2018/2019. They even played over-seas as a 3pc (Michael, Robert, and Perry) for a stint as well as played shows in the states with Nelson's guitarist (who learned all of Oz's parts to the "T"). I seen Stryper a little over a year ago in a medium sized club... Maybe 500 people there. It was the last night of that leg of their tour and they were giving it all and sounded AMAZING. I seen them in 1988, playing an arena... IMO, their music is still "arena worthy" and should be playing to bigger crowds! It's too bad that radio stations won't play them, they'd be as popular (or more so) as they were in the 80s. But, they're too christian for regular radio and to heavy for christian radio. Ok, I'm done now....Sounds GREAT!
I will be purchasingbtbis one for sure... and most likely for presents for family members 👍😀👍
God has chosen. Stryper to be his army to get us ready. For him the lord God king of kings is coming and he has chosen stryper by. His stripes we are hilled
Wow wow wow. Unexplainable love this song, vocal, guitar, drums, solo, bass oo......every part of it. Talented and powerful. Great....... Stryper
They are only the BEST Christian band ever!! Grew up listening to them.

Michael belts even better now. Love the new album. They will be back.
First time watcher loved the reaction. And comments thanks will be back
Album came out last week it’s awesome
stryper has been around a long time,. Lot of Christian rock and metal bands have come and gone, but stryper has remained strong
Do unto others is on this album and if you watch the video OZ 🦊 is in that video
Can't wait to see them live in Dallas, Texas in a few weeks. The last concert for the year 2022.
the best song off the new album.
Oh yeah another awesome Christian metal band from back in the day Bloodgood
Very Nice, love the heavier sound #JesusIsKing
No not Stryper!! Lol 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽been a fan openly since 86! Middle school to beyond!
Stryper 🙌🏻 Stryper 🙌🏻🙌🏻🤟🏻🔥🔥🔥
100% awesome. Better every album
Tim Gains left and was replaced by Perry Richardson. Oz had a scare medically but is still in the band
@andy bosik Oz has a brain tumor, not brain cancer. RUSH Drummer Neil Peart died in Jan.' 2020 from brain cancer.

Not sure, but I heard he was in Bloodgood. Michael Sweet and Oz Fox both do guitars.
Oz actually plays on the most recent Bloodgood stuff. He has also toured with Bloodgood.

those high pitched vocal note changes are amazing but likey studio manipulations

I have a request do some old tourniquet or bloodgood
He’s the Middle finger Messiah
Sounds awesome
There's no hair band putting out this quality
No one on the Planet can shred Air Guitar like Master SD! This whole New Album is so good.
Bobby, you see in me things even my own mother missed, bless you!
Love the change of rythem, saw them live on the in God we trust tour, they were awesome 👌🤘
Yellow and Black Attack first, then Soldiers
Would love you to do some Red. "Let Go." "Sever." "Feed the Machine."
Have you heard Bloodgood "Lamb of God"? Has Oz Fox on guitar.
Stryper is getting better with age. Heavy and punchy, put some headphones on and get ready for a ride.
Like they say the older the wine the better tasting flavor and STRYPER 💯

Yes. Perry has been playing five string basses since 1994.
Always like they're aggressive side and the way Michael sweet continues to scream and hit high notes is unbelievable.
