got to see them live last year online and they killed it. such a great set they did. still my favorite album by them is Against The Law. So much good stuff on there
I’m a Stryper fan from the day the Enigma version of The Yellow and Black attack landed on my turntable in 84 or 84 (make that 85 - one day I may read what I write before posting.) I have most of their studio albums- their first 5 and from No More Hell to Pay forward. I like Murder by Pride, just don’t have a physical copy yet. So about Take it to the Cross- I like that the band took a swing at something so different from what their fans would expect, it is a hit you in the face opening track. The song has grown on me, the Gregorian Chantesque end to the chorus with the added growling is a clever mood change. I miss Bloodgood and an thankful Stryper is still creating quality music…even better than their 80s material in my opinion.
I liked. I was used to listening to a Finnish band called HB with great power and symphonic metal songs. If you guys have the chance check the songs "The Battle of God", "The Jesus Metal Explosion", and "Eteenpäin", this last one is sung in Finnish which is awesome.
I still remember my first reaction to this many years ago. My face did the same thing as yours. Like what the.... Then started laughing. Anyhoo... got another Orbit Culture diddy for you.. a new release called While We Serve. Not sure if you did that or not but that's another banger with an eary intro.
Should have warned you that this song takes a while to get going and get get going it does. About as close to thrash as they will ever get. Features Matt Bachand doing the growl vocals.
Those glasses are so clean, almost thought they were fake lol but yeah I remember the scene from the movie Pain and Gain. Didn't know it was a real band lol
I love Stryper! Not my fav song tho. To take something to the cross kinda means that you pray over something and ask for forgoveness or something like that, and asking God to bring the power of the victory of the cross of Christ into a situation.
Bonus points for the riff on The Doobie Brothers' Takin' It to the Streets! I am sorry (well, not really) but I got totally lost with this because all I could hear was "Kick him in the crotch" and NOT "Take it to the cross"!! 😸🙀 I simply could not take anything seriously after that.
You should start doing 2 songs in a row. Let the featured song automatically lead to the next song so we can compare the two. Double the pleasure, double the fun.
This is a great song and album, it definitely don't sound like that you were singing, I have listened to most of those bands you mentioned I don't really care for them but as far as stryper goes they are fantastic, it's not a slow roller I have heard it ,it rocks hard
Actually fans are going to crucify me when I claim, this song sucks. I can’t get the breaks in it. It’s not driving me it sounds just as noise. There are so many excellent songs. The last decade they even have topped their old stuff what still and will keep all time classics. The album Fallen and The Final Battle are well designed, written, performed and produced. They provide their broad range from catchy radio and sing-along songs to powerded doom subculture tunes. But this piece I just can’t help myself. 🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛
If you like 70's stuff check out MAGI - Win or Lose. My dad played guitar on that album. Would be cool seeing someone review it. They were featured on a Brown Acid album/ a collaboration of old underground 70's bands
Hell yeah man keep rockin on dude! I appreciate it. Any questions and I'll answer them the best I can. The bass player Tom Stevens played in The Long Riders as well. They were a successful band. He Kinda recently passed away in his home suddenly at his desk sadly. Was my Dads 'Larry Stutzman' best friend. The Drummer Jerry Wiggins passed away awhile back too. It was a Northern Indiana band that Toured cross country. Even played on CBS a couple times. I have one of those rare videos stored somewhere I need to get it up on UA-cam it might be the only copy in existence. Its pretty decent. Thank you and I'll be looking forward to it!
Une of the best chiristian metal pillars veterans
Leyends great program shane!!!
Awesome reaction. I was taken aback at first listen- by 3rd listen I was all in.

My personal favorite album!!! Heavy 👍
They sound like they worked with Mercyful Fate. So heavy!

I must admit I laughed out loud with that 'Take it to the cross!' stuff 🤣
You should start selling shirts with your mug on them. You'll make a killing!

Elvis Presley Digital gold watch hidden behind grave Coventry finders keepers
Fryin away time would be one of my favorites. I sent you the most recent version of the album I could find . Pretty decent shit😎
Sounds like styx trying to thrash
Great song from Stryper. You should react to Man In The Mirror by Whitecross. Just released a new album called Fear No Evil.

I like this album but this song is my least favorite Stryper song ever, can’t stand that take it to the cross chorus.
Not their best. Hate the album title. Great artwork. One of my favorite bands. The Christian KISS. God bless and Metal on!

The worst Stryper song ever! 👎
The chorus is terrible. The verse parts are great and the solo is cool
@@axelvonripper Bizarre is worse, awful lyric that doesn't belong in any song.
