  • In an age of the compact pistol, we tend to forget the legends that started it all. The Glock 17 is the original masterpiece that was and is the most innovative. Let's salute the master of all handguns.

Miss you brother, welcome back. You got to feed me more lol. Anyway its funny that you have a video on the Glock 17. I was looking on line for some police trade ins. I found on aim surplus G17, G22 G30, and the G21
Im a retiered leo in south florida i came on the department in 1988 and we were issued these strange looking half metal half plastic pistols from Austria. The Glock 17. We carried these babys for a few years then we went to the 40 caliber i got a G23 if you were in uniform patrol you had to carry the G22, i was a Detective when we changed to the 40 caliber so i was issued the G23. I happen to be a gun guy so i would sign up for as many firearms classes as possible. Id go to the local gun ranges about once or twice a month, and I'd do a tactical course once or twice a year. Been retiered about a year and a half and i still shoot about the same as when i was on active duty. My EDC alternates between the G 19, and the CZ p10c. Every once in a while ill throw something else in there. I believe you need to stay sharp. You never know. The sad thing is when i got divorced i sold a bunch of guns i had in a fire sale lol. The G17 that was issued to me i bought back when we went to the 40s, well i sold that and i kick my self in the head for selling that beauty. I guess the moral of the story is im seriously thinking of buying that police trade in. I think most trade ins are not shot all that often and you can't go wrong with glock. Thanks for your videos i always look forward to your stuff. Carry on.

This was a great video to watch, the 17 doesn’t get much attention these days since most attention is on the single stacks. I’ve had my 17 for 30 years and you were right, revolvers were the guns of the day and I was an oddball at the time for having this. I still carry my 17 on trips, walks with my wife and can drive nails with it all day long. It’s been my EDC for 30 years and reliable as ever! Peace!

Hey brother nice channel. First time hand gun and ar buyer. I just purchased a Glock gen 3 and a smith and Wesson Mp 15 sport 2. Now in 2020 do you still like these weapons or should I got something different

Hey my man!!! Don’t do a single thing different. The only recommendation I’d make is try and buy yourself a 22 caliber single action revolver in case lawmakers ban the guns you currently have. Just so that you still have something to defend yourself with legally

I like your videos man. All about the practical and less about the glam. Keep it up.

Imo the glock 17 is supposed to be used as a full size combat pistol...not a ccw, EDC, pocket pistol or what ever...this is a pistol you put in a leg holster and is a plain sight gun as I call it..

I have the 21 gen4 and the 43 bought both used but unfired. Both run perfect, not one malfunction of any kind. The 17 will be next. Just trying to decide if the gen 5 is worth it over a used one.

Gen 3,sweet & simple. The only thing I'd add would be some rubberized Talon Grips.

I'll probably end up adding a tactical light to this thing. A stream light or something. Hey bud what are your thoughts on the G48?

I have a g26 gen 4 as my edc but I like the size of the 17, what would you suggest next for a for home defense/truck gun? ?
I was thinking about the mossberg shockwave or possibly a ar but idk where to start with those.

I went with the 19 but if I was made of money I'd get a 17 or the longer version of it for a go to war gun. 19 for now though. 😊 Just curious but why is the gen 3 so many people's favorite?
