This video is about The 380 caliber. In this video I explain the case for why the 380 is the best caliber for concealed carry. That is a totally unrelated topic that can be explored if you’re interested in me covering it.

350 rounds including secondary weapons systems. For bugging out is ideal in my opinion. Anywhere from 200 to 250 for rifle. With 50 to 100 pistol ammo. Travel as light as possible. Still need to add water and food weight. Navigation material, shelter material, and hygiene including medical. All in all for an inexperienced person in the woods weigh your bag. Do not exceed 30 but closer to 20 pounds is more ideal. I've done training in mountains with loads of 20, 35, and 60 pounds. It is possible to do alot of weight, but only for someone with the right training, and in good shape only.

Slap of truth there! I am a hiker and I can assure you most Americans are not fit to even walk from their home to the nearest gas station with a full combat load plus additional survival items needed. In a bugout situation as you said it, you are officially homeless with nothing else but what you have on you. You can wear out any firearm with the thousands of boxes of ammo in your basement, but unless you are HERCULES and can carry two 55 gallon drums, one full of ammo and the other with water, food, ect.... tied to your back you will NEVER EVER!! wear out any budget firearm, with the ridiculously amount a mere mortal can carry of ammo.

Just prior to the BG2.0 release, I loaded up on G42 magazines (10 total) for the range. I added Vickers Tactical +2 extensions for each. I still consider the G42 a great pistol that can serve many roles including, concealed carry, deep concealment, pocket carry, and backup gun. Your video was well laid out! Kudos! I have watched tons of reviews on the BG2.0, yet this video presented a number of new insights to consider. While the BG2.0 is a fantastic .380 pistol, this old school guy is going to stick with the very familiar, reliably proven, and significantly invested G42.

All of my life I had AR and AK, in different models and brands. I shot them thousands of times and used them in different scenarios. My conclusion is that reliability outweighs accuracy and lightness. Love my AR, but more than one time, it has left me naked. Stuck cases in the chamber, trigger pins working their way out, trigger not resetting, had a forward assist interior plunger break off and jammed my bolt carrier group. Had to break it apart on the spot. As for the ak47 the only failures have been dud rounds with bad primers. Not once has it jammed on me.

NOW if shit ever did pop off I know which one I am taking. HOWEVER, the PSA would do just fine too to give to a buddy. New subscriber here, found your channel because of this video, excellent review.👍 I have been fondling the little LCP Max for about 2 years every time I was in my local tool store, I never took a liking to the way it felt in my hand. When I picked up the Bodyguard 2.0, it took 30 seconds for me to decide I was getting it. I have not spent a lot of time with the little gun, but it shoots well so far. I highly recommend the UpLULA loader from Maglula, I can't fully load the magazines without one. (but the UpLULA spoiled me years ago😁) This little sucker is very tightly sprung and I am guessing the action will be completely different after about 500 or so rounds. I have about 300 through mine so far, and it is already getting easier to rack.👍 By contrast, I have the S&W Equalizer, that is the easiest racking and softest shooting 9mm I have ever shot, but it is slightly larger than the Shield, and nowhere close to as small as the BG 2.0.🤷‍♂

Little pistols like this are finicky when new. BREAK IT IN. My Sigs were the same way. The two I have will shoot everything now including the "Seargeat Major" (Tula) zinc plated steel cased without issue. The grip on the Ruger grip sucks because it's hammer fired and needs that space in the grip for the hammer spring. I also hav the Ruger LCP Max, so I know what I'm taking about. I feel the most likely shtf scenario would be a dollar collapse or virus like covid but 10X worse that causes people to either start looting or causing civil unrest in the streets and neighborhoods for resources despite national guard intervention or curfews Marshall etc. also bare in mind that the vast majority of any states population far exceeds national guards number of active and inactive troops as well as law enforcement. Take Arizona for example they do not have enough in the reserves and law enforcement for every body in the state and you can compensate by using active duty but then the government puts their interests abroad at risk. So yeah you don’t have the fire power and logistics to fight a conflict with the government but neither do they. Our country only has the ability to fight a 2 front war, not 2 fronts abroad and one in the heart of its land. 2nd most likely scenario but a long shot is a civil war but I agree not in the sense or our last one, possibly more guerrilla type engagements. you also have to consider the fact not everyone in the military are going to to funnel into the same sphere of influence as what the government wants to do. There very well might be guards man and active military personnel that have conflicting views and will fight each other over them and can recruit from the local populous. I don’t believe the train of thought that everyone in the military will be all in on one side especially as divided as this country is it just doesn’t come off realistic. It’s great to talk about this stuff as a way to converse and be prepared but no body wants a shtf scenario to actually happen

As of today 8/29/24 SHTF will be a WW3 sleeper cell grid attack and invasion which will force the military to work with militias and minutemen as mercs to help fight this war on American soil... it will happen so fast that martial law wont even be a thing... we have had so many terrorists cross our southern and northern borders just waiting in key positions to attack... some civilians may fight eachother out of ignorance and lack of knowledge of the battlefield but it will be more like France during ww2 with many civilians as rebels working alongside the allied forces gathering intel, conducting small guerilla like ambushes on supply convoys and providing the allied forces with supplies as well as the other way around... many parts of the country could also be a DMZ for elderly and children like say north Dakota or something along those lines but when SHTF everyone will have to fight the foreign invaders which will most likely be Russia, China, Iran, north Korea, Venezuela, and many other BRICS nations

Your not taking into account guerilla warfare.... ambushes on supply chain convoys and small group blitzkrieg engagements and dissapear... you dont need 1000s of rounds to take out the enemy all you need is tactics, time, and environment... 1 person with a combat load can destabilize a whole company of troops...

@@recon1986 Believe it or not I have taken it into account, but I didn’t mention it here because wars are fueled by food. If any guerrilla force can’t maintain a steady supply of food, they can’t fight effectively. Please believe the government would target whatever means of food production and or procurement a rebel force would have and that’s enough to kill most of us without having to fire shots. But I agree guerrilla war would be the best option in shtf

There is no bugging off into the woods anymore... SHTF will be ww3 and it will be fought on American soil as well as in europe and asia. There is going to be nowhere to hide.. EVERYONE will have to fight one way or another

These are great points. Let’s say a community decides to police their own streets because things have gone to crap. Well, under martial law, as soon as as action happens in a neighborhood to any significant degree or a community is too overtly projecting force, that’s when professional forces will take control of the area. Patrolling with APCs and drones. I’m a fan of the idea of a silent, suppressed subsonic weapon like an AR9 or .300 Blackout for defense in this scenario. If you can defend yourself without drawing attention, maybe you can avoid being disarmed or calling the wolves to your door. I think the only major factor that could change this is if a “civil war” has international players. For instance, if NATO decided to back one side and BRICS backs another, then things could change dramatically and turn a domestic crisis into a full scale, more conventional civil war.

Use a loader for the 12th round. Also the mag does break-in and become better, that said it's still hard to load by hand even with probably 400 through the 12 round. The recoil spring is annoying but I've found if I orient the end of the last coil towards the barrel then it goes in much more consistent. And for the feeding issue most people are thinking it's not actually the split feed ramp. You probably have a little lip of casting sprue at the top of your lower feed ramp. Some people apparently don't have that lip and it eats everything. Mine has it and has had issues with shorter nose projectiles in general. I might polish it off but it feeds g9 fine so it's not to priority for me.

Very insightful and informative review. I personally dont mind that the LCP Max doesn’t come with the 12 round mag as I only paid $269 for the LCP Max anniversary edition that comes with the stainless steel slide vs $400 for the BG 2.0. Instead I purchased an additional 10rnd mag as prefer the way it feels in my hand.
