I have been trying this for a week now and the way you broke it down helped me so much. I actually got it for the first time today. Thank you!
Dude, let’s go!!! So stoked. Now there are so many other footplant tricks you’ll be able to do in no time.
Would love to see frontside or backside tail stalls. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Thanks for watching and commenting! These are both such good ones. I’ll have to practice my front tails for a week or so, but I’ll get them filmed and up ASAP!
Well explained. I started doing these in the early 80's. If memory serves me correct this was a "bean plant". I really like how you are doing them the original way of bringing the board up to you rather than early grabbing it. Thanks!!!
So I got a message from user Matthew Moffatt. I quote "This tutorial should be titled, "How to beanplant to tail." a beanplant is a combo of boneless and Lein air. When beans were invented boards didn't have upturned noses so grabbing anywhere heelside in front of leading foot "counts" as a bean. (grabbing behind leading foot for a frontside maneuver would be melon.) Iceplant is same grab as beanplant, but to fakie." This is pretty technical but correct. None the less if you learn what is instructed in this video you should be able to later do different variations that Matthew stated. By mid 80's this led me to pulling off Madonna's once you learned to get that foot back on the board before touching he ramp deck. At this point for me mini ramps weren't really a think yet.
This looks very cool, and doable, thank you!!
Great tutorial man cant wait too get out there and learn this one!!!!
Thank you for the comment. You can definitely get this one down! A bit of repetition and you’ll figure it out in no time.
Can you please super slow motion. I am confused as to foot placement and where to move the body to. I am a super beginning
A tutorial on that prerequisite, how to pick up your board with style like that would be nice 😂
Ice Plant is to fakie. This one would be a bean plant if you didn't hit the tail on the deck
Nice vids. Thanks 👊
Glad you like them! 🤙🏼
I cant wait to learn this once my collarbine heals
Really cool turorial ! Awsome work man !
Thanks bro! I hope it made sense. 🙌🏼
When you wish you could do a madonna but you dont skate vert
Lmao
That's what boneless lien tails are for.
Is iceplant only for fs 180 rotation? Do you know how the trick is called where you basically do the same as the iceplant, but your front foot goes off the board on the toe side of the deck (not heel side like here), you grab the nose (the deck is behind your front foot's knee) and then you do a backside 180 rotation, not a frontside 180 like here? Thanks!
that sounds like backside boneless
That's a backside boneless. People usually grab the board heelside instead of on the nose, but same trick.
I feel like tutorials don’t need to explain every step to lead up to learning the trick. If someone is ready to learn footplants they’ve been dropping in for a while. Let’s see some skate vlogs with a Christian message at the end or sprinkled throughout the content.
Dimensions of the ramp?
Small side is 3 ft tall, 12 ft wide. Bigger side is 4 ft tall, 8 ft wide. 6 foot transition. Super fun size!
