My first season as a QPR fan - what days these were, remember going to Arsenal the next season and one of our lot turning the clock back on the clock end as we won 2-0.
I thought QPR's Omniturf an interesting new experiment worth trying somewhere, whatever the effect. I just wish the QPR team when Terry Venables managed them hadn't insisted on using the offside trap as a negative spoiling tactic - in the days when TWO defenders had to be between the player making the pass and the goal to be onside,to stifle the life out of games, they needn't have resorted to that with their ability. A change in the rules killed all that off mercifully.
